Small but lots of options. Part general store with tents, bear spray, flashlights, etc, part gas station convenience store with sofa and beef jerky, part quick spot to grab a brat and ice cream.Staff was really friendly. Chatty in a friendly way, recommended other places to stop in the park.

This review pertains to the grill inside the market. The employees were supper friendly, and the elk sausage stuffed with cheese and peppers was the best I've ever had. The store's beer prices were reasonable and there are some picnic tables underneath some pines outside. A very nice lunch stop.

This little general store has just about anything you could want while staying in Yellowstone National Park. Candies, snacks, breakfast items, prepackaged salads, local IPA beer, whiskey and others types of alcohol. Need a souvenir? This place has them. Magnets, calendars, shirts, hats and more. Last thing.... Hand scooped Ice-cream🍨

These guys would have a tough time picking up the slack from the temporary closure of Mammoth Terrace. Still the lunch menu was good and they had a decent range of souvenirs.

Stopped by to cool down with ice cream after a hot day hike. Recommend getting 2 scoops & sharing if you only want one scoop (better value). Flavors of mixed berry and coffee ice cream was fresh & good. We both savored our scoops to the final spoonful.Staff were friendly despite a busy storeful of tourists.

Cute store, sells ice cream. Lines take forever but you can snack or eat at the picnic tables outside and the female elk just eat in the grass nearby. They are chill with you being there. The rangers will have you back up when the animals get too close because a bull might show up and make a fool out of himself.

It was a cute store with many available items and souvenirs - I chose a pressed penny with the elk image.My party got ice cream as well! The blueberry cheesecake, vanilla, and cotton candy (surprisingly) was really good. The line for ice cream was really long.

Nice place, well stocked. My son and I stopped about a week ago to get some medicine that I needed, and also desperately needed to use the bathroom, like emergency! The bathrooms aren't generally open to the public, but they did make an exception and I was ever so grateful believe me! It's the dead of winter, and I would have had to go back a little ways to a bathroom I had already used a few moments before that. LOL A little graphic, but you get my drift! I love Yellowstone. My son used to work here, and on that very snowy day, there were very few cars in the park and we got to see so many bison, and in particular, a small herd crossing the road right in front of us. We saw two unbelievably enormous elk with gigantic racks, and even a very healthy looking coyote just trotting along the side of the road. If you haven't been to Yellowstone go! Winter or summer! It's just one of the best places on earth! And yes, this is a nice little store that accommodates.

We visited most of the general stores in Yellowstone National Park. This one, like the others, doesn’t have much in the way of food - mostly swag. There is a disappointing lack of groceries or much of anything that could be considered real food - just a convenience store and concessions.

Stopped by here while visiting the hot springs and brought an awesome auto pocket knife that I can’t get anywhere else where I live due to the legality. They have other kinds too which are reasonably priced. Definitely stopping by here again if I visit Yellowstone again in the future.

I really liked this store. They had plenty of items from souvenirs to clothes. They had everyday items to meet your needs. There were camping items. You're required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cashier in training did an excellent job .

This store is so enchanting! They had so many wonderful souvenirs. I got a beautiful bracelet and it wasn't crazy expensive. And the kids got ice cream that they really enjoyed! They had all sorts of fun things to look at to inside the store, it was as fun as looking at the hot springs!

The issue was we stopped for ice cream and the IC parlor was closed, as was Tower's. I was told because they can't get employees. C'mon. Other other aspects were fine, staff was friendly.

Very good selection of souvenirs, t shirts, hats, hoodies and such. You can even get wine here that is made especially for them and can't be found anywhere else. Very warm and welcoming staff, never visit without bringing back something!

The store is your typical vacation destination gift shop. They have general store "forgot to pack" items, plus a large assortment of Yellowstone National Park gift items. At midday it was busy, but the staff was courteous and polite👍.

Some of the staff was rude. We have a daughter with a severe tree nut allergy and nicely asked for a clean spoon for her ice cream for safety. Pretty standard practice for safety. The older gentleman scooping was rude and refused, saying dipping it in water was how it was cleaned. Needless to say we didn't get her ice cream. If you have a child with an allergy avoid.

Wanted to look at hand painted bone earrings in locked display case. Got a worker to open, each item was different. So I started looking through...he said are you gonna buy it..I said I need to look. He hurried me up to close case and wanted me to come back tomarrow.To Bad..they were $58 and so adorable. And I live here in Montana.

I love this general store I frequently go there in the winter for their chicken and cheese quesadilla. Unfortunately March 2nd is their last day for serving food for the winter. They have many practical camping items and some nice tourist items. I've bought a few hats from them.

Awesome General Store!! We had mailed our Grandsons gifts off at local post office before coming here. Boy I wish we would have waited found plenty more items to purchase for them. Great place! Friendly folks!!

Wall to wall people in the summer months. Nice selection of items from clothing, snacks, liquor, electronics etc... Great staff every summer that are always looking to help the custimer! Oh, and eat some Wilcoxsons ice cream while you're there, it's pretty tasty!

Well run and stocked with just about anything one would need while on vacation.Sweetest woman running the register. Friendly and kind to all. She's a seasonal worker and headed to AZ when the contract is up in 2 weeks.

The only General Store other than Old Faithful that's open in October so it seems. The staff at other facilities in the park or almost rude. But in this store the staff was friendly and cheerful. Seeming to enjoy helping you figure things out or find things. We did not have any experience like that anywhere else in the park in October.

This is a very popular store. Always packed with people and they have great tasting ice cream. It costs $4.80 for double huge scoops. The staff are all pleasant.

Cashers are nice enough but they will allow people to cut in line and will kick you out if you say anything. 3 out of 4 people complained that watched it happen and they told us if anything else was said we would be escorted out. So don't bother to wait your turn just step right up if your are to important to wait.
