SOMEHOW EXPENSIVE WITH AN ODD LAYOUT BUT WELL STOCKEDThis review is based solely on my own experience and personal opinion.I went to the Safeway grocery store on a Wednesday afternoon, 1/19/22, and it was my very first time here.STORE: the store itself is clean, neat and pretty big for Wheatland standards. They have all the departments of a big grocery Superstore.The layout it is not very easy to understand, sort of odd layout, and you can find some products in isles you would have never thought about. They have many signs that help you navigate the store, yet again, if it is your first time here the signs do not help much. Everything is nicely and neatly displayed and arranged on the shelves.STAFF: the cashier that checked me out was NOT nice NOR friendly, at all. and when I told her I needed some change ($5 in coins) for the Laundromat washing machines she literally lost it... she went nuts!.... she started telling me she could not do that as she did not have enough coins (not true, she had a cash register full of Quarters). NOT nice at all!The other two guys that I interacted with were friendly and helpful.PRICES: I found it pricey. Some products have average prices but some products are overpriced (Strawberries $5/pound ???? ). I'm sure they could do way better when it comes to price their products, especially fruit and vegetables.CONCLUSIONS: if I lived in Wheatland I would go here for minor grocery shopping and I would drive to Wal-Mart/SAM'S/COSTCO for the big bulk shopping.

Decent, clean, well-stocked grocery store just the like ones across the country. Very much like going to Kroger.I was able to get what I needed and the cashier was friendly too. Somewhat pricey but would shop at again if in the Wheatland area.

I am very impressed with this store. Great selection for the location.But I really want to command “Anna”The cashier who gave me and my family superb customer service.It’s been some time since I encountered an associate with such willingness and big smile.I would hope that she is appropriately compensated.

Just another small Safeway. A little higher priced than some larger ones. Only one person in deli area and one bat who had to have exactly 1.9999999 pounds roast beef so no one else got any service.

I wouldn't normally write a review about a grocery store, but every time I go to this place, the staff is great. Even just the other night, I mentioned (not trying to be rude) that there weren't any bananas in the usual area. The cashier ran to the back and brought a huge box of bananas that they hadn't had a chance to unpack yet. A lot of things like that make me think management is doing a great job! Just letting them know i appreciate them!

Needs to figure out their computer system. Safeway advertises great deals and encourages consumers to utilize the app for maximum savings but we were just overcharged $64 on a shopping trip. On top of that, we had to spend about 10 minutes sitting there showing the employees and doing basic 8th grade math for them to help us get our money.In addition, we frequently find produce in our fridge from this company that is moldy after only a couple of days.Do better.

It's in good shape clean and we'll kept. The selection is smaller than other stores in larger population. But this place has what you want or need. Just maybe not the brand name you favor. Liquor store is well stocked.

Pretty clean and well stocked, they could use another standby cashier for those high volume times but since they often don't I recommend checking out though the attached liquor store. That's not often used even by the locals. The deli is well stocked and they have hot soup on the sales floor. Surprising amount of allergy and gluten free food choices as well so if you're passing thorugh and you need something that can't be found at the convenience store this is your place!

I wanted to stop in for something I could drink. They had watermelon juice. They also had a decent clearance section. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restroom was clean. This is a good Safeway to go to. I would go here again.

People at this store in wheatland are always nice and helpful...i gave it a four because of there parking lot that lot is spooky to drive on....Very small lanes you can go both ways on all lanes and not enough room to do that....

Overall the prices here are good and the service is friendly. If you use your just for u account you can get some really good deals. The manager Cody is very nice and helpful and always take good care of customers that have had problems

Very strange store...folks are nice....just food selection was odd....unsure if they buy for local....like this....you know how chicken is everyplace in a supermarket....well....no roasted...whole chicken....but they had turkey? This is just odd....nothing wrong with store...I just thought odf

Most small towns don't have the luxury of a grocery store like this one. Clean, good selection and well stocked. They have a lot of ethnic foods which can be difficult to find. A deli is available..although they don't have a bakery, they have some fresh bread sometimes.

The Corporate Office really needs to make up their minds what they want to do. Back in May it was not required to wear masks. As of July 21st, its mandatory????As far as Safeway staff, they friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for good produce, this is not the place to come. Most is out of stock or nearly outdated. Strawberries consistently have mold on them and for some reason they keep them on the shelves for sale - Yuck! They are also very slow to restock. I have bought out a few items from the store more than a month ago and they have yet to restock so that I can purchase more. I wish there were more grocery options in Wheatland.

Generally well stocked and efficient and friendly staff. This is not a large grocery store though. There is a deli but there is no Bakery so all the baked products are brought in.

This store is very nice. Large selection, good produce section, friendly staff. Meat seems to be a little on the pricey side, but some good sale prices.

I love any Safeway. Locally its awesome. They have pretty much everything I've needed to cook or bake with. Oh...they didn't have unbleached flour in a large bag.

This is a great local grocery store. Had what you need and great prices as well. All the staff a friendly and willing to help making this your best shopping experience.
