The location is great: outskirts of Wheatland without all the activity of the other exit and gas to boot. The attached store has a good selection of beverages for those thirsty drivers that stop by. Noticed the prices have gone up significantly in the A&W portion though (for fast food). Its cool that they have some items on the menu that can accommodate some diets, definitely a plus for me. Staff have always been attentive and pleasant with me.

I drive through Wheatland on a regular basis and when I'm getting low on hours I like to stop here for the night. The A&W has always had good food. Sometimes the service varies, depending on whose working the counter. This time I had a slightly older lady wait on me. She had a good sense of humor and was very polite and professional. She obviously is a throwback to the days when people could and would work and give good service. The food was fresh and not just thrown together. The man in the back making the sandwiches took the time to make them correctly and make them look appealing and appetizing. I really only have two things to criticize and that's mostly just a matter of personal preference. First, put some seasoning on the hamburger patty so it's not quite so bland. Second, maybe see if you can get your pickles from a different supplier. They weren't horrible but they did leave a bit of an aftertaste that I could do without. And that's coming from someone that loves pickles. All in all it's a good place to eat. Maybe not 5 stars, but it's closer to 5 than 4.

If I could give a Negative star I would. The quality of food compared to the price is absolutely horrible. Don't ever get a rootbeer float unless you like straight rootbeer with barely any ice cream. I wouldn't recommend the burgers either unless you like Thinly sliced pieces of meat and like to get charged $13 a meal for it. Also dont ever get the bacon burger unless you want 1 piece of bacon cut in half. The only thing I have to say good about this place is the fries. If I was a bad person I would have thrown this meal back at them. DONT GO HERE

04-05-18 Excellent bacon cheeseburger. Fries good too. Best of all I discovered this location makes.... " Makes" their root beer on site. Wow. Food not know that. Friendly staff. Knowledge, lots of sitting space and a good amount of truck parking. Very nice truck stop as well.

Extremely expensive for what you get. I like to get A&W every so often. Since this is the closest one to me, I have been here a few tunes when going through the area. I got food since I couldn't justify the insane price for just just the float ($4 mike than a similar drink for some soft serve to be added). By getting a meal it was 'just' a $2 add on. I would recommend eating there so you can refill the float with the tap. The foid was mediocre at best but insanely price fir what you get. Employees were not pleasant & clearlydidn't want to be there. I was made to ferrel like I should be grateful that I got to give them my money.

Takes forever to get your food if you don't do the drive through. Last time they hardly even warmed my burger. This time my I asked for hot dogs because the roller grill in the gas station was empty and I figured they couldn't not cook that. After waiting 20 minutes Lady asked what had I ordered. Turned out my order was deleted. I think from now on I'll just starve.

I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger combo and 2 chili cheese dogs. Was very disappointed with the quality. We will start with the bacon cheeseburger the bacon was well past it’s shelf life it was hard and fell apart, no mayonnaise on it either. The French fries tasted like fish. The last thing the chili cheese dogs had no onions, where tossed together where you couldn’t pick them up because the buns where ripped apart.

This place needs an update... both in the restaurant and the gas station.Toilets were gross, clogged, and did not look like they had seen a wipe down, let alone a good scrubbing, this millennium. I did get a leg workout doing the toilet seat hover, but it was not a workout i want to repeat.In the restaurant, staff were not sanitary, touching food and cash with no handwashing between. Apparently, gloves were in short supply because staff were doing everything without changing gloves; touching food, bagging food, getting drinks, taking money, etc. Flies were everywhere.We took our food and tossed it in the trash before deciding we would starve another 80 miles to get something in Cheyenne.

despite the long line, our order was taken and completed quickly and with a smile. counter guy had a great attitude and though the restaurants was filling up quick he kept it moving and was very friendly.food was as expected, hot and fresh.

This A &W is needing updates just like the Sinclair it's attached too. The food was ateabl but the hamburger was extremely over cooked. The pop Machen had some crusty stuff running down the side of it. As we finished our meal and walked out my husband said he no longer wanted to stop there. And we have been stopping there the last 5 years 2 or 3 times a year. Hopefully they will do something about this soon.
