We are truck drivers, out of hours and exhausted, we called to get a room had to leave name and number and call back came 1.5 hours later, room was musty and old, carpet was sticky nasty and someone else hair in the shower which I sprayed with disinfect spray then couldn’t shower due to NO hot water!! We stayed until 2 am then decided we were going back to our nice clean truck!!! This was a complete waste of our hard earned money!!

Appreciated the front counter gal, but this was a travel emergency, and I would never stay there again. Our toilet didn't even flush

Thank you to Sarah and her wonderful family for saving myself and so many other groups late last night. I-80 storms quickly came. Our Uhaul had flipped and just when we felt helpless, the Sunset Inn was here to help. Room was warm, clean and simple. The Sunset Inn staff reminded me that humans can be good :)

To those who may find themselves stranded under any circumstances like us in this case it happened to be a blown tire I would recommend this place the people there are incredible, professional, kind and will definitely make you feel at home away from home. We’re lucky to meet such great people like Sarah ,Abby and her husband Jeff who really took extra time to help us and making sure we get back on the road safely and big thanks to Conoco We love you!! Sunset Inn!!

Got stuck on 1/80 due to road closure (blowing snow). Found the Sunset Inn and they quickly accommodated us. Rooms were clean and warm! The next day, the roads were still closed (wydot gave 8-10 hour opening time) Abigail allowed us to stay in the room until the roadway was cleared (gratis… thank you kindly!). They were very accommodating! Thank you!

The sweets are not worth the price. The room itself was clean. But there's nothing special about it. The furniture is outdated. The TV is tiny. The beds are small. It would be very accommodating for group of kids. They had other rooms that were cheaper the "non-sweets" but apparently they had smaller beds. The beds in the sweets were doubles so that means that they don't have any queens or kings on this property. Or at least that's what the girl at the front desk told us when she convinced us to get this room. It's winter also and the property didn't even bother to throw salt in the parking lot or on the balconies of the suites. It's one it's one giant ice sheet.

I stayed here for 2 nights a few days apart at the end of July and the beginning of August 2022. The actual lodging is pretty good. Everything was clean and worked although not terribly fancy but I wasnt expecting that either for the price and location. The real deal is Greg and his wife. They are very nice, good people. My bike wouldn't start after my second night stay and Greg ended up helping me get it running even though he was clearly very busy. I would have literally been stranded there if not for Greg and his wife. Cheers to you both!Follow up: I stayed here again. 356 days later. I bought a car and was driving it home. I had hoped to make it to Casper but it got dark and I got scared of hitting wildlife on my first day of ownership. There are so many other reviewers who have snow or vehicle stranded or vehicle wrecked or no other option stories. It seems to me, this place is critical infrastructure. Location? 1 or 5? Is it the middle of nowhere or the middle of everywhere? I say, 5, middle of everywhere. BTW, I came in late and Abigail was awesome. I was able to get a 1 bed suite with cool, motorhead decor and a very, well done, bathroom remodel.

Good accomodations for the price. We booked the night of and it was $86. The beds are bed-bug free and I didn't see any other bugs. The rooms smell old but not moldy or gross. The tub/shower has a slight sulfur smell to it but it seems quite natural and smells like the surrounding area. I was able to take two baths in comfort. The beds are of average comfort- similar in quality to an air mattress. The sheets were clean and in good condition.Check in was efficient and the woman who helped me was very nice and hospitable. There is free ice, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and free coffee and a granola bar. There is a working TV with a limited (~100-150) satellite TV channels.

Awww, we loved Sunset Inn! We stayed at a motel 6 the night before and our backs were killing us from the terrible bed. We were so happy to discover comfy beds, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a cute note from management. The room smelled nice, and it was wonderful to have little things like coffee, toiletries and even a bag of popcorn! Sandy was also the sweetest when checking in. So much love for this place and will be back when we come through next time! Contact the hotel directly (instead of using booking.com) to save a few bucks and be sure to tell them ahead of time if you have pets, as there are limited pet friendly rooms.

Sunset Inn is a quaint little motel not too far from I-80. At first sight, I wasn't sure the experience i would have with the motel. My conversation with the motel manager was brief, but I quickly realized that this friendly establishment prioritizes hospitality and service. The room was fair, and the amenities reasonable. For the price, you're getting a good, clean, and modest room. Rooms come with complementary snacks and bottled water, which I was very thankful for after a long day on the road.If you're passing through Wyoming on I-80, planning a trip, or have otherwise stumbled upon this motel and are unsure whether this motel is for you, let me encourage you to pull the trigger and stay at Sunset Inn.

Booked a room with two queens. Got into the room to find that the beds were full sized beds and not queens. The girl at the front desk said “they are queens” and basically told me to go away. Of course this is the only hotel in this town so I have no options. On top of that the water came out of the tap brown like chocolate milk and the entire room smells like cat litter. What a nightmare…

This is a nice, clean, quaint place to stay the night or a couple of days. The staff is professional, polite, respectful, and will bend over backwards for you. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. There cable, Wi-Fi. It’s not the Ritz……but I have stayed at some name brand hotels that ran me off after staying 3 hours. This place made me almost feel like I was home. Prices are very affordable. If you are in the area for a while or just stuck because I 80 is closed…..I recommend this place 100%. If you’re a trucker, they have tons of room available to park your rig.

Didn't even stay here and had to find the place and leave a positive review! I traveled through during a blizzard and the lady at the front desk helped me look up weather conditions up ahead and helped me make a plan to continue on my journey. Super nice people, would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

I’ve decided update my review. The first week I stayed here was for work, and I admitted was not very happy with my experience. The staff was nice enough, but the fridge was tiny and I had to dispose of the majority of the groceries I’d brought for my hitch. The room was clean, but had an odor to it.However, upon my second hitch I stayed in a different room. There was a larger refrigerator, somewhere to hang my clothes and the room was very clean, smelt nice and was much more comfortable.I will say the ladies that keep the place going are so sweet and helpful. So far I’ve two completely opposite experiences and it all boiled down to the room I was in.That’s why I gave it ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Is because I gave it ⭐️ based on my first stay and would consider my second experience to be a ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

A clean room with TV, internet, good mattresses, hot water, refrigerator, microwave and a few added touches like a coffee maker, granola bar made the stay pleasant. The building(s) are old so at first impression it doesn’t have a drive-up appeal but it’s better than some Chains I’ve stayed at. Short drive under the freeway to a Love’s truck stop. Some rooms are in a second floor that require stairs. All rooms are accessed from the outside.

We were far from the next town and needed to stop. Luckily we googled this location and they came up. It was super late but they were very accommodating and had a room available right away. The newly renovated room was excellent! Clean, spacious and all amenities for the short time we were staying. Grateful this is where we ended up after a long day of driving! Would stay again if I was ever in this town and state again!

Pulled in at 2:30am without a reservation after driving 15 hours. The door was locked, but the attendant answered it quickly. She was awesome. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable and sheets/towels clean with pleasant smell. The room had a mini fridge and microwave with popcorn, coffee and bottled water. We slept 6 hours and hit the road.
