While the lady I talked to was understanding and kind, they do not take payments and this makes it impossible for me to use their service. Was told that it would be a 55 dollar office visit and possibly over 100 dollars for treatment if my cat needs his leg fixed. There is no reason for it to be this way when honest people are willing to pay it off.

Do they have good reviews? Yes. They at times do well. But in my, my family, and people I knows experience, when they do bad, it’s devastating. We’ve seen from personal experience Dr Kauffman negligence and greed. He treats animals he’s not trained to and botches it. The. He blames patients. Lies on the phone, changes prices, hits animals, etc….the good doesn’t always outweigh the bad sadly. We will never take our animals there again for their own safety. The vet tech we saw was lovely and caring. Unfortunately she isn’t surrounded by people with her same professionalism and care. If it was just her or she was the vet, I would go there again.

I won't be returning here unless the older male doctor is replaced, he is terrible and the receptionist I talked to wasn't much better. Do yourself and your pets a favor and go somewhere else!*In reply: You are correct, I am NO LONGER a customer of yours. The woman vet that was there treated my animals. She was great.

Very rude vet. I let them know before a blood work on my dog that he had been on steriods and antibiotic for extended time and asked would this affect the out come of the blood tests. He ,the vet ,just ignored that and then did a xray even. They told me nothing they threw some expensive food at me and some pills the whole deal was over $400. Went then to a different vet who found no elevated liver emzynes. All that cost for nothing. The vet was rude and the support staff as well. It felt like we were inconvienceing them all you could tell they closed at noon they were shoving us out the door

I have been vetting with Goshen Vet 30 YRS. Loved them like family. Until the changed Management/office help. Very unprofessional front desk (brown person) is beyond Rude. Defiantly has personal issues! Worst business Ethics I have encountered in a long time! Seems they have lost the purpose the reason they are in the Vet business. They have lost their compassion to care for animals it all about the $$ Now.Sad, Sad!!

Neasha is not completely wrong. A lab I had for years stationed with me in Hawaii and Fort Carson, my best friend and my wife’s protector while I made numerous deployments overseas was sick and ended up having to be put down. While the dog was laying in my wife’s arms the injection took place. Leo passed but then my wife was startled and Leo gasped for air the Dr laughed… yes I said it, laughed and then told my wife it was just nerves…. The Dr was very lucky that I had self control and did not flash back. We went back a few times with our cats to see the very nice female Dr and would only see her. Now that she is gone we will never return.

Brought 2 of my dogs in for an emergency visit to have porcupine quills removed. As soon as he took one of the leashes, my dog was scared and tried to walk away instead of sitting. Dr Kaufman didn't like that so he hit her on the head!! While she was in extreme pain! Afterwards, I was charged $850 after 4 members of my family helped pull them out. Kaufman left over 100 quills in the dog he was working on. The vet tech was a sweetheart, and she was very thorough and got 99% of them out of the dog she was working on. This one star is all her. I want to thank her for her diligence and sensitivity. If I could have paid her the money to do both dogs, it would have been money well spent. Instead I'm furious at how my other dog was treated and left to die basically because Kaufman was in such a hurry.I called 2 more vets the following morning to see if it was ok that they were left and they both were appalled. It is extremely dangerous to leave them in. They suggested we contact Kaufman about having him finish his job. When I called, the receptionist was very rude and Dr. Kaufman was as well. He was condescending towards the other vets implying they don't know what they're talking about and to me and my husband. His way of offering to make it right was to go back in in 2 weeks and pay him to remove more! Not happening. I gave him the opportunity to make it right and he blamed everyone else instead of being accountable.SO MANY people shared their stories with me. Here are a few:He was laughing while putting someone's dog down as it was dying in their arms.A cat that was brought in to be neutered but was left with $$$ worth of bladder issues and found out later was actually NEVER neutered!Owners of a dog that was under their care, we're told to pick up their dog the following morning and that is was doing well, only for them to get there and be told the dog died and was thrown away. The owner couldn't even bury him.2 horses killed from from their treatmentsI could continue but I'm hoping people will start leaving their own reviews so others can avoid this.*In response to the"owner" if you guys would just read the comments people are saying about how horrible they were treated there and made a conscious effort to do better, then we wouldn't be having this discussion. Kaufman could have put in the effort the vet tech did, but he was in too big of a hurry. Why would multiple vets say he didn't do his job right?

Horrible experience! Our two dogs had a terrible encounter with a porcupine and we brought them in for an emergency visit to have hundreds of quills removed. Dr. Kaufman was a butcher. He didn't even try to carefully remove all the quills. He yanked and ripped and broke off more quills than he actually removed. He sent one of our dogs home with over 100 quills that he broke off, still in his face and mouth. The vet tech and my wife worked on our other dog and successfully removed almost all of the quills, that dog is recovering wonderfully. The dog Dr. Kaufman worked on is still miserable and we've been pulling quills out of him (nearly 100 so far) for over a week! We were still charged $850 for the visit. We will never take another animal to Goshen veterinary clinic again!

Wish there was an option for -stars. Vet tech is good with animals but the veterinarian is Horrible. I’ve heard so many horror stories coming out of that place it’s ridiculous. Have verified some to be true. My personal experience has been complete rudeness and uncaring. I would NEVER take my fur babies there.

Goshen Veterinary Clinic has been caring for our animals for 20 years. They are absolutely wonderful and always help with emergency visits. All the stars in the night sky!My Stormy, my sweet cat, was my joy for 16 years. We did everything together. I received a handwritten card from the doctor when she passed away. This kind gesture of sympathy made all the difference in the world. I was hurting in my soul!

My friends took their dog in to Goshen Vet after a very nasty run in with a porcupine. Horrible vet hit the dog in the head, left probably 100 quills in the dogs mouth.Disgusting. Dotaketadanchance

Unfortunately, Google is asking me for this review after my last visit, not last all together, but for a while, as I had to put my dog down at this last visit. But years ago, when he had a bad stroke, I took him in, preparing myself for him having to be put down then. They kept him for observation over a weekend, and he was great that Monday. Gave me advice on changing his diet to help with the strokes. It worked, and he stopped having them, and it gave me a few more great years with him.

I'm an established patent I scheduled an appointment for my first skunk Lily I had blood work and a few other things done for the vet seeing multiple skunks she was very unknowable. They went ahead and scheduled her to get spayed so I brought her back in for her spay appointment they refused her due to her weight so took her to Laramie Vet they did an amazing job and called here again to bring in another skunk to get fixed they are now refusing exotic animals poor service not so good vet care nor knowledge/knowledgeable very disappointed place has gone downhill. Their response what a lie and joke.

We took in five puppies today. They were great with all of them. Sadie was amazing at the desk and the vet Dr. Emily Angal was so very kind to them the youngest was 2 years and the oldest was 12 years. We will be seeing them again. They are amazing.

These folks are amazing. A dog I was dog sitting was critical. They helped the dog and me personally immediately. The dog owner was less than polite with staff due to there emotions. The staff disregarded this and provided the best care I've ever seen in such circumstances. If your pet is part of your family or business this is where to take them. I don't know anyone who works here I just want animal owners to know this facility is here for you and your animals. I won't ever use anyone else. Thank you all so much for what you did and continue to do.

This is a great place to get your animal it's shots and get it fixed. But is not a good place, when your animal gets a broke leg. It cost about $500 or more to get your animal's leg amputated or you can pay about a $1000 or more to fix the leg. You have to pay the full cost of money right then and there or you have to give up your animal to the pound and or put your animal down. How in the world would someone who can't get money like that, get $1000 or more to help their animal live happy with them. This broke my heart. I already watch this happen, I can't see it again. I wish we could make payments again. Someone please fix this!!!

Goshen county veterinary was highly recommended and I too would recommend them to care for your beloved pets. The entire office staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Dr Angal for her care for my little buddy Spike.

Forgot my paperwork even when I asked for it. Called and person answering the phone was rude and stated let me find who checked you out. Was on hold for almost 9 minutes and she was rude. Took my other dog a few weeks ago and the staff was awesome gave me everything then this time for same thing no we do it for you and the lady was as rude as could be. I loved this place and recommended it to everyone. Now I will have to rethink it and find a new vet due to RUDE staff!!

If I could give Zero stars I would. I took my dog in who got attacked by another dog and they sedated him and treated him for some infections when we went there he was eating and drinking water and could walk a little. He was there for 2 1/2 hours before we were able to take him home and and he died literally 5 minutes before we got him home. we called the vet back they reimbursed us $22 and said we'd have to pay $150 extra to cremate him.

I have a dog with a rare blood disorder called Von Williebrands Disease(she is a free bleeder). We have had vets in Germany, Kentucky and Georgia and they knew nothing about it much less have had actual experience working other dogs with VWD.Dr. Kaufman at Goshen County Vet knew exactly what she has and has actually worked on and done surgey on other dogs like her. Today(8/25/2020) she had surgery he removed multiple lumps. She done amazing in surgery and is recovering at the vets office still. Dr. K went out of his way to double check what has changed since the last time he operated on a dog like her. He reach out to other colleagues and found the best option for her! He is a very confident doctor and he had a back up plan just in case the meds didn't work good with her extremely low clotting factor! He is very knowledgeable and I could see he truly cares about the animals he works on. The ladies he had working with him were great too! They kept me informed and they all made me feel really comfortable with her have surgery when I have been told for 7 years to not even think of it. The way other vets have suggested involved 3-4 thousand dollars and week stay in a special vet office and plasma transfusions and a ton of things. Dr. K knew and found a better way that is affordable. It just goes to show that not everything has to be brand new and super fancy and over complicated. A simple shot 30 minutes before surgery gave her the ability to clot on her own for 2 hours with very little bleeding.I am completely amazed and thankful.

Outstanding service tech's and vets.!! We were travelling and had an issue with our dog. They were very understanding and prompt to get us in and took amazing care of our canine family member. I think he almost hated to leave the next morning. They provided clear understanding of the situation, sent us on with medicine if there was further issue and clear directions to follow up and share with our vet at home. I hope I never need their emergency care again, but wouldn't hesitate to go there again or recommend them. We and healthy happy Macallan say thank you!!

Just moved here from another state. Our son recommended the facility and very pleased. Vet took their time and throughly check over our dog. His foot got injured somehow and were starting with the least invasive first then watch and see if he gets better. Very happy with the veterinarian that seen our dog!

They are very friendly and good at what they do. I have been using them for my pets for years and have always been happy with their service. The vet even answered an emergency call about my cat at 3:00 am one night!

Sad to say, I told them there was not enough Clavamox for the kitten. Took it back in, they measured it out & said there WAS enough, but preceded to refill another 15ml bottle & wanted to charge me for it because they were adding on another 2 weeks which would b a total of 4 weeks on medicine. .5ml twice daily & No I did not give 5.0mls. This was last Friday. It is now Tuesday & need to fullfill this out til on Thursday being last day. BUT of course I ran out yesterday! (Monday) When ur people screw up, it leaves bad business signals to people. I've been using this facility for quite a few years now & believe since this was not resolved under the original prescription I will not take her back. I have spent $89 on this kitten to get treated. NEVER ran into anything like this before from this facility. Happy change over isn't looking good to me.

While traveling cross country in our RV, we stopped in my hometown for a visit. It was recommended that before we travel to Florida, we should have our dogs tested for heart worms and get the prevention medicine for them.Making the appointment was a little frustrating because the young girl that answered the phone to make our appointment was apparently having a bad day. She kept telling me to repeat what I said and then when I did, she basically yelled at me to slow down and she can’t write that fast... 🙄🙄🙄 ok... I’ve had bad days too. You get a pass. I’d prefer to take my dogs to a Wyoming Vet anyways, so we kept the appointment. (otherwise my stepdad recommended taking them to the vet in Morrill NE)Covid has things all crazy too, so I understand the wait in your car policy. And we were plenty early for our appointment, so we definitely understood the wait time as well.Once we were taken in, the staff was very nice and very caring toward our dogs. The Vet and his assistant/trainee? were very nice and answered all our questions. Thank you for the great service, will recommend to all our friends in Torrington area.
