It's not a bad hotel. Nice rooms. Laundry on site. Grocery store right behind. Definitely better than all the Americas best anywhere in the country. I was surprised it was the same chain to be honest.Walkability: Bars. Grocery store. Multiple spots to eat.Food & drinks: Bars are less than 1/4 mile away.

The saying.. Don't judge a book by its cover applies here. Check in was great. Young lady was still new but very helpful. Room was GREAT! Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, pool was good and the most important thing to me is that the place is clean. This place was absolutely clean inside and out. I have to make trips to Torrington all the time and from now on I will be staying here.Rooms: Very clean

the people handling this front desk are some of the best I have seen. I worked at a hotel years ago. Friendly and very accomodating. The rooms are a bit older but the bed sold me on the room, great mattresses and bedding. The train was a bit loud but i wear foam earplugs for sleep. I highly recommend this place for bike travellers as the desk host offered to let me keep my bike in the room.Walkability: next door to the supermarket, walking distance to a couple banks and small shops

I had reservations (get it?) about my stay, because the last hotel I visited in Torrington was a very poor experience. I was very pleasantly surprised.The whole facility was very clean and well kept, the room itself was especially neat, and was visited daily by housekeeping. I always search for bed bugs when I stay in a hotel, and there was no sign of any bugs here.The breakfast was not the traditional "eggs and bacon", but was very good. Belgian waffles with real pearl sugar, bagels, microwavable breakfast burritos, cold and hot cereals, orange juice, coffee and fruit.Staff was very friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person, and were willing to accommodate all of my needs including a very late check in.All in all it was a very good experience, I will definitely be staying again on my next visit to Torrington

I'd definitely stay here again, I was a little nervous pulling up but never judge a book by its cover. It definitely needs updating, but it was cleaner than some higher class hotels I've stayed at. It's nothing fancy, definitely clean and safe though. Everyone that works there was super nice and said good morning to us whenever we walked by. Pool was clean and fun for the kids too, nice to have. Grocery store right next to it so we didn't need to pile into the car for something like that.

This place is a total dump!! If you like to stick to the carpet, towels that buff your skin or hard beds stay here. If you're a travel nurse do not stay here, they are rude and not accommodating whatsoever.. I don't know who they pay to write decent reviews but trust me when I say spend a couple more bucks and stay at the Holiday Inn!

It doesn't look that great from the outside but I found it to be just fine on the inside. It could use a refresh because it looks kind of dated etc. but it's well maintained and quite clean overall. The employees are doing a great job. My bed was crisp and made as well as any bed anywhere at at any price. I travel for work and have a lot of experience with discount hotels. Nice job guys.

The service was among the best the lady working the desk is hands down one of the nicest and welcoming of em all! (I travel for work and have met alot of hotel folk.) Better breakfast the the holiday Inn! But the sheets smelled kinda funky and the bed wasn't the comfyest. The pool was cold and there was old dried corn under my bed. The price could been better but I wud stay again just cuz of the hospitality.

I have had horrifying experiences in the past with America's Best in other parts of the country. This one, by far, has been my BEST experience! 😀 It is abundantly clear that the owners have a lot of pride and love for their establishment. Although some of the furnishings may be dated everything I saw was neat, clean and presentable. My room - and especially the bathroom - was spotless!! I was not bothered by the style or age of the furnishings as I only wanted a clean and comfortable place to lay my head while I am traveling. This establishment has far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here not planned on 7/18/21. We were on route to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore and our vehicle broke down on the 85N. This hotel accommodated us with a room for me and my husband and 3 kids (10,7,and 4) my youngest is disabled. They gave us an early check in and a late check out on 7/19/21. It was a bummer we couldn't reach our destination but our stay here was very nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel was cleaned well and the indoor pool was fun for the kids. If we ever are out that way again we will definitely stay here.

America's Best Value Inn in Torrington came through in a pinch! We were turned back by a road closure due to snow and needed a charge. The motel not only had an outlet but was comfortable and clean and within walking distance of a few restaurants and bars.The reception was welcoming and efficient. Small fridge and microwave for your convenience. A welcome relief in anxious circumstances.

We stayed at the hotel about a month ago (we have stayed many times). Timi was awesome as usual.The "pet rooms" they have are very dirty. I doubt the carpets have been shampooed ever. Every room that we have stayed in has mold in the bathrooms. When I asked if we could have a better room, I was told that we had to stay in the pet rooms (which is fine if they were actually CLEAN!!!!). My husband asked the on site manager if we could get clean towels and was told he had to bring the old ones up to the desk when the housekeepers were still there. When he asked her if they had bottled water we could buy, she said they are not a 5 star hotel. (Obviously we already knew that). The on site manager is not friendly at all. She puts on a fake smile and makes people very uncomfortable.

I agree with most other reviews. While this hotel is mostly clean, it is very outdated and run down. The sheets and towels appeared clean and laundered. My room in the "basement" (there are two levels, an upper and lower) had a dead bug in the bathroom and the AC unit had a strong moldy smell. Since I tend to have mold allergies, I can easily tell when spores are in the air. In addition, the carpet on the concrete floor was peeling up. This hotel is near train tracks so be prepared with earplugs when they go by at 1:30am. The breakfast amounted to little more than fruit, cold cereal and a bread. Not impressed.

A older hotel that could use a little updating, but rooms were clean and it was the most comfortable bed we had slept in on our way across the state!Staff was very attentive and nice.We did not eat the breakfast.Only complaint was even tho we were in a non smoking room, it still had a odor from the smoke smelling halls.Great room for the $$

Overall this is a nice older hotel. It is very dated, there is no fitness room. Continental breakfast only. It looks unimpressive however the rooms I have stayed in here have been very clean and to me, that means a lot! The calking around the sink looks taken care of and the bathroom overall is very clean. I'd stay here over a couple big name hotels I've stayed at before without hesitation. Staff is nice and overall, a decent place.

Very clean and smaller rooms. Mattresses could use to be replaced as you could feel the coils in places. Staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating. Pool closed to either Covid or maintenance. Would stay here again and recommend.

Cozy little hotel. People are friendly, everything was clean. There is a ramp to the first floor and stairs to the second. Please note ahead of time which floor you prefer. Pretty good continental breakfast. The restaurant next door is good. There are a couple other places to eat in town. Great value for the value.

Our car broke down about 50 miles north and we had to get a ride back into town. We were there before check in and had my kids and wife and I and our youngest is disabled. They made sure and gave us a room right away even though it was an hour early. They also let us have a late check in while I waited for our ride back to Colorado to show up. Amazing service. Thank you!
