Close to Hot Springs State Park and 100% Americana. If you're going to take the American Road Trip, this quaint American owned and operated motel should be on your list of lodging experiences. The staff was friendly and non-intrusive and super welcoming of our two small dogs. We stayed in a regular room that was spacious and had a microwave, mini-fridge, and even loaner towels to take to the mineral pools. Next time we go, we're definitely going to rent one of the log cabins because they look so inviting and cozy. The price is very affordable and we felt much more comfortable than in a stale chain property. There's no ice machine so make sure you stop and grab some before checking in. Also, the shower in our room was quite small, so if you're a larger individual, check with the property and find out if they have larger shower accommodations in other rooms.

Maggie is great. Easy to get in touch with and she made us feel so welcomed. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Stayed one night and walking distance to the hot springs. Would have loved a little table to put things on.Nearby activities: Hot springs Park and the safari restaurantWalkability: Walking distance to the hot springs state park, hot springs pools and the safari restaurant.

If zero stars were an option- I would choose that!My son and his Dad took a once in a lifetime trip to Wyoming to experience a dinosaur dig- a little boys dream come true! His Dad booked this motel as the location was close to the dig site. All was great, until my son left his blanket behind. This isn’t just any old blanket- it’s a blanket with great sentimental value- passed down from generations. I know I should never have allowed my son to take it; but nonetheless I made that mistake. His Dad called and asked to have it shipped to us, offered to pay- was assured that it would be shipped to him. We are in Georgia- so this isn’t just a 30 min drive to retrieve the blanket- it would take almost 2 full days to drive out there. To our surprise, the Blanket never showed, so I called- was told it may have gotten put somewhere there? I explained the sentimental value of the blanket, offered to pay for shipment and to pay for the inconvenience. I was told that she would “look” for it and ship it to me. I asked, “Do you need my contact info?”- long silence followed by “Uhh, I have it on the phone here.” I sure wish this woman would have to look my broken hearted baby right in the eye and explain why she had to lie about shipping his blanket back to him. I assure you, we are NOT people who give our children everything they “want” nor are we people who leave negative reviews, we are a positive bunch- and I really didn’t want my baby to see just how badly people can suck sometimes as such a young age. Nonetheless, if you choose to stay here- expect this same kind of treatment. 💔

Rooms need major cleaning and repair! Bathroom needs a deep cleaning and new shower curtain, under the sink was disgusting and no where to put toiletries. Need to either repair or replace furniture in room. Curtains were pretty much see through. Radiators had broken peices hanging off the and the thermastat was falling off the wall. Need some weatherstripping around the door. None of this has to be expensive or fancy but it could at least look like the owners cared more. Not the most expensive place in town but definitely not cheap so I expected better. Thank goodness we had great weather and didn't need to be in the room long.The location is good and close to everything.

This place sucks I wouldn’t recommend staying here, loud noise, people yelling at each other, the furniture is junk, no hot water have a leak in the heaters not enough towels or shampoo, the owners will charge your card and say they didn’t get paid even tho they took the money out of your account and people just barging into your room do not stay here

Oh dear well it was a place to stay and for $60 a room it wasn’t… terrible. I’m trying to stay positive. The room was fairly dirty, with smudge marks on the mirrors, a bed that smelt vaguely of old bologna, and a shower that was full of hair and whatever else. One of the staff had their van almost completely blocking the entrance. The curtains didn’t do much to block people from seeing in. No AC besides a box fan which definitely didn’t help. But, it was relatively quiet, in a decent location, and CHEAP. It was really just kind of gross. I don’t think I’d stay here again if I was in Thermopolis.

I am a travel nurse, I stay at a lot of different hotels and motels. My standards are pretty low, give me a clean bed and a clean room and I’m good to go. I arrived and no one was in the office even though it was in the check in hours. No big deal, they left the key out. Got into the room and noticed it was hot, smelled like smoke and there was trash left from a previous tenant. Ate my dinner and got ready for bed and the room was even hotter then when I got there and the sheets were dirty(semen?) called the staff and they switched me to a different room. The new room had a clean bed but was still too warm and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach down to this end of the hotel. The room was atleast cleaner but still smelled like old smoke. Would not recommend at all, sleep in your vehicle and save whatever money you would spend on this place wants to charge you.

Not what I expected for the price, plus 40$for pet fee.181$for this room. Dirty. Floors, bathroom, rug on towel rack, towels sloppy in the closet. Dog Hair on the couch dirty. Our sheets not clean. We came in late around 11 pm to this. I have stayed in nicer, cleaner pet friendly hotels not motels. For less. I would not recommend. Plus two bottles of open water used. On kitchen counter.

This place has a great location in town. Rooms were very clean. The manager is easiest to contact by phone. We were able to walk to all the attractions and restaurants from our room. These are the rustic hotels that we like to stay in!Walkability: I got up every morning and wet for a walk. Nice location and close to everything.

Loved my stay at Roundtop Mountain Motel! It was my first motel experience, and movies always made me nervous, but WOW! The cabins along the road make the actual motel feel tucked away and private. Very quiet! And it’s in walking distance of both the springs and downtown - basically in the middle of it all.I stayed in Room 2 - the decor & bedding looked newly renovated! The bed was comfy and the pillows were fine. Plenty of towels and space. Popcorn, coffee & water bottles on the table were a nice touch.Sue was very nice and made us feel welcomed. I’d definitely be back!

I don't understand the positive reviews unless the hotel went downhill in a very short time. The outside grounds were overgrown with weeds and most of the outside was in some form of disarray. We only stayed in one of the cabins so I can't review the hotel rooms. We had to sweep mouse droppings off the front porch to avoid stepping in them. I spilled some water on the kitchen floor and wiped it up with a paper towel. The towel was almost black in color after the cleanup. The staff we encountered was friendly and courteous which was one of the few positives. The cabins are backed up next to the main road going through town so the traffic noise is quite loud. The kitchenette consisted of a microwave, refrigerator and a hot plate that was questionable and appeared to be from the 50's. Under the sink was an electric skillet that looked as if something had nested in it. We will not be back.

Great, fun, friendly place. We did the cabins and it was a great experience. I guess it may depend how busy it is when you go. But I have zero complaints. Loads of fun being in the cabin. Slept great, no noise. I did use the sound machine just in case.

I stayed in room 6 and the bed was the best I've ever slept in. There was a nightlight next to the bed that had a white noise component to it. I really liked this because it was so very quiet at night. I live in Denver & I'm used to a certain level of noise. They also allow dogs to stay there at no additional cost. The people who run the motel are very nice. They also have cabins which look cute from the outside but I didn't see the inside of them. Roundtop is located on the north side of the town close to the hot springs park. I'll definitely stay there again on my next trip!

Talk about great bang for your buck! The room was clean and comfortable with tasteful, homey decor. Friendly service made us feel fully accommodated the whole weekend. Location was perfect for getting to the State Park as well as downtown Thermopolis. Can’t say enough great things about this fairly priced motel. Next time we visit Hot Springs County, we know where we will be staying!

They have the most adorable cabins. They lady running it is so nice and accommodating. It's like being home. As soon as we walked in we fell in love. Very close to the hot springs. The rooms are remodeled and beautifully decorated. Love the color concepts that were used and we will definitely be returning. Love, love, love everything about Roundtop!!

This was best stay ever the owners of round top inn fed me my wife for the fourth of July the fireworks were awesome. We stayed here for four months they were always willing help us. It was a quiet and they never bothered us. If I could I would stay here for ever. The cabin stayed was extremely clean and cozy. They're pet friendly and love to help vets anyway they can if you want somewhere nice come to the round top inn.

Cute historical cabins. Very dog friendly. It was the perfect place for a small family of 4 +pup. Kitchenette was fairly well stocked. The heater was amazing! Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Thermopolis.

If you get the opportunity to stay here I promise it’s beyond worth it. Liz and her husband make you feel like family. Liz and Sue work so hard to keep this place super clean. It felt like we were visiting old friends. You can tell they love these cozy little rooms and cabins by the work they put into them. I wish I could give more stars. Thank you for the lovely stay Liz. We will definitely be back. ❤️
