We have nothing against Broulim's (company/grocery store). ACTUALLY, we love it. Our review is strictly based on THIS particular location. We have used the Broulim's in Afton, Thayne, Alpine in Wyoming, and in Soda Springs and Idaho Falls in Idaho. They have all served a Chinese Buffet Bar, and it is great in all locations except the Thayne location, where it is so bad we couldn't finish it. It was dry and tasteless. They also prepare party platters in their Deli. Others have recommended these in the other locations, but Thayne is the closest to us, so we ordered it here for a Realtor Open House in our house. It was AWFUL. They charged us $60 for a Large Pinwheel Platter, but It was tasteless (no cream cheese or beef when the description said it was supposed to have it), and they were full of mostly air. Eventually, we had to add mayonnaise to eat all the leftovers, that were left from the Open House; and the general consensus at the Open House was that they were not vert good, so they will nit get another opportunity to disappoint us again. It's too bad that the Alpine or Afton stores are not closer to us, or we would shop there instead of at this Thayne store. Mgmt recently hired a new Deli Mgr, but she can't seem to manage her platter preparers. We won't use their Deli or Asian Food Bar again. Going to Alpine or Afton is worth the ride.

First, I have had great experiences with a lot of staff. The pharmacist is the most friendly staff member of all! It's a mix between friendly and those who obviously don't like their job. I hoped when they were acquired by Broullims their produce would get better. If you are a large family and will eat the lunch meat, produce etc. within a couple of days, it will probably work for you. It's usually just my wife and I and I seem to get pushback and attitudes when I ask for fresh produce from the back. Nobody wants to buy food that is bad two days later and feel like they have to eat that for every meal or it will be wasted. I recommend driving to Afton or Alpine for much fresher produce, meats, etc.

Clean and very well organized. In addition the parking Lot is large and there is always sufficient room. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The prices are a little high, but that is to be expected if you're not buying from a farmer.

A convenient place to shop for groceries and such. It’s a clean environment and they try to keep things stocked. If they don’t have a product, you can ask a manager and they’ll try to get it in for you. It’s a tad pricey, but it’s also the area and times we live in. The only bummer is it’s not open on Sunday’s. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. All in all, a great place in the valley.

Better fresher produce is needed. Bought a box of strawberries. Moldy at bottom covered up by other berries. Carrots in bag are really dirty from the supplier. Only close by grocery if had another choice would go. Nice staff though.

While visiting valley market and shopping as well I had a few questions. Valley market employees are super friendly and very helpful.thank you Star Valley and Star Valley Market.along my way on the highway I took a few pictures of a gorgeous place I would like to stop and visit.

The prices are high but the employees are great. I honestly feel so sorry for the employees having to deal with the snooty customers. Witnessed one such customer yesterday. I wanted to tell her to go back to where she came from but your employee was very professional.

The old lady that works nights need to get her memory checked or learn how to read a Drivers License. She refused to sell me a a six pack even tho 3 nights before she sold me a bottle of whiskey. I am 22 years old next month btw. she aparently doesn't know what customer service is either. She has been completely horrible and rude each time I stop at her line. I have never had problems at other locations or other cashiers except for her. I didn't get her name but she was older and had black hair. And I do get that some of you are going to say respect your elders but that doesn't give them a free pass to be that way. The way I see it respect is earned. Especially in customer service.

Thayne brolims used to pretty a cut above. They were the last store to hand bread their chicken tenders. A small touch of home. The suits in corporate decided that quality food isn't in the profit margin. Brolims is just a lds, store. Closed on Sunday. Focused on $$$$. Id much rather shop at a farmers market, gas station, locally owned, mom pop shop.

Very nice supermarket in a small town. Based on the Western Family brand appears to be part of the Associated chain which is not a bad thing. Produce was okay if maybe not all that fresh but most items in decent shape. Good selection of most things, deli department also offered cooked chicken choices. Meat department was a bit small but the steaks we bought were excellent. Not cheap but is located 4 hours from the nearest large city and pretty much the only game in town so to be expected. We were able to get everything we needed. Also has a drug store inside. Large parking lot. Now selling liquor, not a large selection but all the basics are covered.

The old valley market used to have amazing bakery items but has gone way down hill since Brolims bought them. Bring back the pillow cookies and up your quality!!

This is very good Grocery Outlet with a large variety of Quality Foods at reasonable prices. They have a deli bar that has a good variety of food. Overall the store is nice clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful good shopping experience.

Visited their deli last week, hoping to have a fresh breakfast and coffee. They don't serve breakfast be the most courteous lady helped us and we found their sausage breakfast burritos very good! What a friendly place and great coffee to boot!

Annie made the Most beautiful flower arrangement for my niece for her Birthday She went above and beyond of the arrangement. It came out beautiful and my niece was happy. I will definitely use her again for my flowers

Stopped in for a couple of things and saw the deli had chicken dinners to go. Staff was friendly. Ordered to dinners which were good but they forgot to put in the biscuits and dipping sauces.

A very clean and organized grocery store. I enjoy the layout of the store, and everything is well labeled. It is my favorite grocery store in the valley. The employees are always helpful and friendly, the lines are rare and move quickly when there is a line. They prices are not cheaper than Broulims usually, but I like to support the smaller family owned stores when I can, even if that means I pay a little more.

Nice market with a gas station. I stopped on the way through for a re-supple. Cleans and well stocked. Some prices seemed slightly high but over all it was fine. Got a cheap ish refill on propane up the road!

Being food certified I am overly aware of food handlers habits. We decide to grab a sandwich at the little deli shop. Not only did it take the young lady over 20 minutes to make ONE sandwich.. she never made the second one. Did not witness ANY of the 4 or 5 employees behind the deli counter change their gloves the entire time we sat there waiting. Including the manager who would slice deli meat, serve chicken meals, and collect parents.

Good market glad to have something not owned by Broulims. The remodel helped a bunch with my biggest concern about the old building not having enough space. The store pace is still a bit to laid back for me still but I can imagine some like the low key pace. I am a get in get out with groceries and find waiting on the staff to finish the gossip can be a bit much.

Best market in the valley. They have a little bit of everything, plus a local pharmacist. Good selection for the valley, occasionally lacking in seafood options and fresh fruits and veggies can be a little questionable, but more often than not good stuff. They have a type of Mac n cheese that I can't find anywhere else and is amazing. Helpful staff and great for a rotisserie chicken. Also they make a mean breakfast burrito.

Selling fruit and vegetables by the pound. Orange prices went up from 1.89 to 2.09 in 3 days. Avocados very expensive. Water melons too. Requested they bring in bagged oranges. Was told no. Went to Idaho Falls and got bagged oranges from Walmart for 5 a bag. Want to shop locally but won't and will take majority of business to Jackson Smiths or Idaho Falls. Will use VM only for urgent or emergency items. Too bad bc like the store but prices hike like the oranges just not right and not respectful of customers money.

New self check out.If you go thru the line for the checker, you may have to bag your own.I saw lady that's in charge of the checker pulling a child by the arm away from the check out stand were his mother was checking out. It was appalling the child was crying and trying to get away.

This store is nice, especially for a little local grocery store. It sucks the deli closes at 5, but I know everywhere is short staffed. Prices are a bit high.

I love how their prices are ALWAYS right! Items never ring up as a different price in the register than what is posted. I trust them. The prices are a little high but the store is clean and the employees are wonderful!
