Since living in star valley I’ve adopted all four of my babies from Luckys. And each time has been an amazing experience. Marianne and Jeanette are exceptional!! Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, just volunteer some time or supplies to the shelter. They are so deserving of it.

I drove about two hours to get here but am so glad I did as I absolutely love this place and recently adopted my new best friend, Sylvester here! The owner really cares about all the animals there and puts her heart and soul into taking care of them. My sweet Sylvester was a very shy boy who wasn’t getting adopted because of his shyness and I decided to give him and chance and now I can’t detach him from my hip! I had the pleasure of meeting so many of the other sweet animals up for adoption while I was there and all I gotta say is do yourself and these animals a favor and drive out to luckys to adopt one of their many sweet, loving animals that need a forever home today! And please enjoy all the Sylvester pic spam!!!

This is one of the most amazing shelters I've ever worked with. They take amazing care of their pets, ask for a reasonable adoption fee, give you so much when you pick up your pet to help you get adjusted, and they even allow for trials to make sure it's a good fit. They actually make you agree that if at any time you no longer want the pet, to bring them back to the shelter. They are a no kill shelter working tirelessly to help these lost creatures find their forever homes. Love this place so much 💕

We adopted from here one year ago, it was an amazing experience. We found a dog listed on their site that sounded like a great fit for our family. They approved our application and held the dog for us until we got there (we left Colorado at 3am to go and meet the dog in Thayne.) The dog was a perfect fit with our other dog and they are the best of friends. It has changed our lives in the best way possible. Mary was so sweet and she genuinely loves the animals that come through the shelter and does her best to make sure dogs get placed in their forever homes.

The staff is very kind and friendly. I've adopted a mini horse and dog from the facility. The kennels are always clean, and the dogs get to be outside when the weather is nice.

We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this adoption shelter! My parents, my uncle, my sister, and now I have all found wonderful pets through this shelter. The staff is friendly and sincerely looking to place you with the right pet. They are honest about each dog to try to find the best home for them. They also generously gave me supplies to help my new pet transition well into its new home. I would recommend them to anyone.

I am fostering an Anatolian Shepherd for Lucky's and they are so supportive!When you adopt, they give you enough food to transfer your new companion over to the food you will be using. They also provide a clicker, directions for training, some treats, and an invaluable fleece inside rope toy.These people really love their tenants. They really set adopting parents up for success.

They are amazing unfortunately I adopted a dog from the had her 6 months and she just got aggressive towards my other dog. I called them explained the situation and they took her back with no problems.

I am extremely disappointed in this rescue. I will not name any names. However I will state that after finding a dog I thought would suit my family I reached out to meet her. I drove 2 1/2 hours put of state to meet the dog and family that has her. Things went great. I was promised the dog on a specific date. I was told I had to wait for her to be spayed. The dog was taken off of petfinder. I kept in contact for the 2 weeks I was told to wait. The night before I was supposed to meet and get the dog I emailed. I waited all day the following day. I have emailed the rescue and texted the owner of the dog. Nothing. I am being ghosted after meeting the dog/family and speaking to said owner of this rescue. I should have already picked up the dog today. No one has had the decency to return my texts and or emails. No one. Thank goodness I didn't pay in advance. Absolutely inconsiderate and very unprofessional. I am very disappointed and my family is heartbroken because they have been waiting patently for this dog.

Had to surrender my dog, she was still going and started biting my son and others. They helped me feel better knowing they would.do everything they can to stop the biting and get her in a home that was better for her. I miss her dearly but I know it was for the best for her.

This place is absolutely fantastic! The owners and staff are great people who care about the animals and their placement. A non kill shelter running on donations alone! Please adopt from them if you are looking for a pet.
