Not very often you get to visit a mercantile anymore. Everybody was very nice, friendly, super helpful... makes me proud to be from Wyoming. I looked forward to our trips down the mountain from camping to visit this little shop.

I loved showing my kids the” old gas pumps “!! I love supporting locally owned and operated businesses!! Excellent service, very friendly! I loved the men in front” keeping the peace “ .. very clean and cheaper ($4.50a g gallon) than the corporate owned gas station just down the road !! I could trust my 13&16 year old in the car, I’m the middle of nowhere Wyoming!! Thanks so much! Keep it up!

Elaine and Paul were incredibly nice, and the prices were so friendly I had to stock up on dry goods. Has the selection a neighborhood corner store. Price of Gas was 50¢ cheaper than the next town over. They say it’s under new ownership as of November of 2021. Seems to be called Sunburst Mercantile now?

The lady was real nice to me! I just bought some water and had a little conversation. I go back and forth to Laramie working on getting my new artificial leg so she's really nice to me her husband went through something similar.

For the love of God doze it and put any other convenience store there. Outrageously high prices on everything can't take a card if it's under $5 can't break a 20 if the items you are attempting to purchase are under $15. And it takes about 10 minutes for the guy working behind the counter to check out one customer.

I stay across the street at the lodge for a week every year for work. I come in to the store daily and the owner is always up for a friendly conversation. Kind and helpful staff, laundry, fuel, food; neat little place.

I run out of gas on I-80 indicated only 40 miles to drive, I drove to this gas station got there about 9:30 pm DARK ghost town the gas station was closed I had 3 children in the car they were terrified. couple cars drove by tried to stop them and ask them for help no one stopped. finally a friendly young guy stopped and told him I am run out of gas he tried to find me some gas but couldn't then he took me to gas station owner's house I knocked door explained my situation he came to the gas station opened the store for me I refueled for $60 I gave him $100 told him to keep the change. thanked him A LOT. thank you

The man at the counter was extremely cordial/jolly at first, but then when we bought some items, he randomly started openly spewing the N-word repeatedly. Out of nowhere. I very much regret having entered this place of business. I know he grew up in a different time and place, but it's just not acceptable.

The gas was not overly priced for a small town in the mountains. The general store had everything you would need to restock your camper or coolers. Clean restroom!

The one and only service station in Rock River. The staff are friendly and they have plenty of snack options. You will pay a premium for food and beverages due the location of this store and the fact that it's the only one in town.

They got one old guy working there. This store is overpriced and the number for the hotel across the street is the same as the store. Good luck trying to get anything done at this place. You might be able to fuel up, maybe.

The General Store is the only place around for fuel and supplies in Rock River area. Friendly staff and a little of everything. Expect to pay a premium since it's a remote location. Gasoline was $0.75 more per gallon than Rawlins or Wheatland.

Way overpriced. Gas price was $3.49 . Elsewhere was low $2. We were from out of town and wore a mask in and we were immediately yelled at and lectured on why we don't need them. Drive by and go the 15 miles to Medicine Bow

When I'm in Rock River, passing through, usually towing, I always try to stop, get a drink and chat with the owner (bad with names) Its a great place to stop!!

Roy he is old school if you have a coffee mug coffee it is free and cans of pop are reasonable. if you tired and need a shot of caffeine stop in.
