Do not give Murdochs your address for their rewards program. I haven’t seen a store in over 2 years and somehow they’ve managed to mail advertisements to me in Florida and Alaska. I’ve called and spoke to numerous employees who have “taken me off the mailing list.“ I’ve emailed multiple times to have my address removed and somehow my mailbox is still full of flyers. I’m sure this is a terrific store but for the love of God mail it to local customers only.

Stopped here while on vacation to purchase I firearm I literally looked all over Wyoming for. It was a cluster to say the least. One guy had no idea what he was doing and the other guy was a ____hole. After 45 minutes they deleted my background check information and told me I had to do it again. Was a cluster from the word go. Avoid this place at all costs. The location in Rock Springs was no better. What ever you do, don't walk in close to closing time. You will promptly be told that they will not sell you a gun 15 mins before closing time. Extremely unprofessional.

Lori at Murdoch’s in Riverton provided excellent customer service on a pricing issue today. The shelf price did not match the advertised price and she did an outstanding job of getting customer satisfaction by honoring the shelf price that was much lower. Thank you for your assistance.

I was headed in to buy a quick bag of chicken feed, but then I remembered that dogs are welcome so I leashed up my eager Dane/Mastiff and brought her for a much longer stroll to let her greet anyone willing and to let them love on her. The employees were more than welcoming and she got to do her tricks for numerous treats. Thank you for being one of those few stores.

Very nice store. The employees are very friendly and they have great customer service. They sell Carhartt clothing which I really like. Plus they have just about anything you want. They have a real nice little gun and ammunition center in the store also.

My husband has bought ranching items from Big R since the early 80's. When he would enter the store he was greeted by name. We went to Murdock's last week for the first time since the buy out. We purchased items with a check like we always do The cashier was not only rude about it, acting like it was an inconvenience and demanding a driver's license. . We let this go as this is a transition period for them. However, today we needed to exchange two items we purchased. (4 days ago) Everyone was pleasant until it was determined, we were owed eight dollars. Then they did not know what to do and the older cashier was a bit rude in telling me they could not return money from a check. Another younger girl was called to the register and refused to return my $8 due to policy. I forgot to mention that on our first visit one of the items we purchased had no tag on it. I went back and brought up another item to get the correct price. And on this visit I went and got the items I needed exchanged with no help. Customer service is sadly lacking at this store. Treating customers with no respect seems to be a norm. I suggest management needs to look into retraining and realizing they are not located in a big city. This is a ranching community and word spreads fast when you are disrespected. In 10 days I will return my entire purchase. Also, I went to the Coop and purchased the items I needed. It's calving season and there is no time to deal with disrespectful people and policies. Also, I drove 60 miles round trip and $8 was too much for Murdock's to reimburse after having a check for 4 days! I will never come back and will tell everyone I know my experience. Way to go Murdock's. . .great start in a small community!

This store has everything you need for quick shopping. Horse tack and supplies, food for animals, clothing, boots, tools. Even baby chickens.

Excellent selection of pet supplies...but customer service was way lacking as we asked for helping with fencing supplies...simply pointed down the aisle and boxes were scattered along the shelves in no order. Just put it in bag they'll know it up front when we tracked him back down to ask how much it was as it's bulk supply and didn't need the $70+ box that was opened and half gone. Got to register and cashier looked at the bag and said no number? Said nope he said you'd know. A $50 trip left felling like my money didn't matter

This is the place to go for dog food. If you are shopping for clothes, you will find their items a bit overpriced, which is why I am giving four stars instead of five. As far as ranch supplies and other types of home improvement and pet supplies, this is the place to go. Also, there are plenty of people working, and I have never had to stand in line at a register behind more than one person.

They have a large variety of things. I bought a rifle there. Won't do that again. They don't don't keep ammo back for people buying a new rifle. I now have a new rifle with no ammo.
