Signal Mountain Lodge was a wonderful, fun and cozy first stop on our vacation through the area. The cabins are rustic and comfortable with minimal but tasteful updates (like a very nice bathroom) and we had plenty of space for our family of three. There a tons of activities available, some of our group went kayaking on the lake, others went swimming. We drove up to the top of Signal Mountain for a great view of Jackson Hole valley and the entire Grand Teton mountain range. The restaurant had decent food and great service and there is a little store/gas station. In the lodge there is ice and a water station as well as a library. Great views of the mountains can be found from many places.

Traveling with two dogs in the National Park System can be challenging. They made it easy and were most helpful to us.So, why only four stars? I have a challenge with $400 per night for a cabin that has more history and quaint than features and comfort. Yes, I know that we were within 30 yards of Jackson Lake, but we weren't allowed to walk to the shore with our furry friends and couldn't (nor would we) leave them in the room unattended. Just troubled by the price to value relationship.Did I mention that the staff was so very helpful and supportive?

Our family stayed here recently for two nights and had a great experience. We were in a two-room cabin a short walk from the lobby and restaurant buildings. The two-room setup was perfect for us. We loved the quick walk to the lake for strolling and swimming and getting sunrise views of the Tetons was a bonus for our stay. The highlight of our stay was the float trip on the Snake River with our guide Joe. He was knowledgeable and kept both the adults and the kids informed and entertained. We will definitely stay at Signal Mountain again when we return to Grand Teton National Park.

Man the water is just WAY to cold to even THINK about getting in. There are ferocious beasts everywhere so you should definetly skip this location on your road trip. All these pictures are photoshopped theres actually no mountains or lake. Do not go there trust me.

The most beautiful place to stay in the Tetons. Period. Johanna at the front desk is amazing -- thank you so much for making our stays fantastic!! Yes, stays, plural. We stayed for almost two weeks, split between stays in Yellowstone. Why five stars? Because it's a fantastic location with stunning views of both Jackson lake and the Grand Tetons with sunrise and sunset views so gorgeous we were awed. In fact, we practically didn't need to leave the property to enjoy the best of the Tetons!!A few side notes before I continue... #1 You'll note reviews of the property are mixed and this is because Signal Mountain has campground/RV sites, a lodge, cabins, and waterfront cottages. #2 The experience at each of the available locations is different, as you'd expect. #3 The campground/RV sites are what you make of them and inexpensive considering you are at an amazing location on the lake. Extras like showers and laundry do cost a bit more but are important to have on site. #4 The cabins are stated as rustic and they are, but they also are in nice, quiet locations and priced appropriately. #5 The waterfront cottages are very nice, with upper and lower apartments (my word as they have a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom as well as an outdoor porch with chairs). In the lower units you will hear people moving around above you and sometimes in the upper units you will too.We stayed in a lower unit in the waterfront cottages once and several times in upper units. Both are good, and our preference for the future are the upper units (which can be up to $100 more than the lower units). Both unit types are the most expensive options at Signal Mountain. The property itself is worth the price regardless of where you stay. There's a general store and gas station, a laundromat, a restaurant and lounge as well as the main lodge itself. The restaurant was fairly reasonable for lunch and dinner, with good food and one certainly doesn't need to drive all the way into Jackson to have a good meal. The property has a marina with two long piers and boat rentals, everything from kayaks to fishing boats to pontoon boats for families. Prices are by the hour, half day and such. Recommended!Enjoyed walking around the waterfront, marina and beach! Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the morning was a nice touch, even if we had coffee pods and machine in our cottage.Definitely my highest recommendation and a great place to stay in the Tetons! Oh, and don't feed the foxes!!!Rooms: From camping to cabins to waterfront cottages, lots of choices.Nearby activities: Centrally located, on Jackson lake in the middle of Grand Teton National Park.Safety: Wildlife roams the property from foxes to bears to elk so always be on the lookout when walking around or driving in/out.Walkability: Lots of places to walk, especially along the waterfront, beach and marina.Noteworthy details: Rains and snowpack this year are helping to bring the water level in the lake higher than it's been in a while. This is good news!

I decided after the first mouse that I'd figure out my review by starting with a non-mouse rating, and then subtract a star for each mouse we found in our room(s). That left me with (4 minus 3) a single star.In short, we had three incidents of finding mice in our rooms in just three and a half days.In our first room, a mouse appeared on the second full day, we moved (at 11PM) from that room to another -- in which we found another live mouse the next morning. (Important: that second mouse's droppings were not cleaned up by daytime housekeeping, even after we specifically asked for it to be done. The night cleaning crew handled that for us.)We decided to stick it out, but three mornings later we woke to find a dead mouse in that second room, caught in a trap.We left. We cannot recommend this place until they get their mouse problems under control.** Review, Minus the Mice **The good:- The security team and the night cleaning person were both fantastic.- The view is astounding.- Most of the front desk crew, including the manager, were great, which is why we tried sticking it out after mouse #2.- The on-site gas station and convenience store were really useful.- The rooms both showed signs of recent improvements (esp. modernizations).- The beds were very comfortable. The meh:- We ate three times at the one restaurant they still have open. Dishes ranged from respectable to awful.- One front desk clerk should learn that smiling when giving the guest a verbal shrug *while smiling* is probably not a good idea. We let it go, but it's a thing that's not going to bring desired results.- The sofa bed (in each room) looked very old.- I didn't like the smell of either room. The bad:- Day cleaning crew missed the one thing we specifically asked for.

My family and I booked 2 nights at this awesome lodge in the 2-bedroom cabin. It was absolutely wonderful.. the service was always friendly, the food as the restaurant was delicious, and the cabin was spacious, clean and very well appointed. They provided plenty of towels and extra blankets and pillows. Everything was nicely updated and in good working condition. Since the Tetons is fairly small (appx 35 minutes from North to South entrance), the location was wonderful, quiet and convenient to everything. We loved the small touches like a lounge overlooking Jackson Lake with coffee and hot cocoa in the mornings. I highly recommend this place!!Food & drinks: The breakfast at the Lodge restaurant was very good with great, friendly service. We didn't eat any other meals there, but I would definitely recommend it!

Wife and I spent 4 nights in the Lakefront Retreat room at the Lodge. The view from the rooms was spectacular. Each day except for our last one (rain), we had coffee out on the porch and watched the Tetons which were awesome. We had our breakfast inside each day and due to the large windows the view was equally magnificent. The rooms were on the modern side containing the amenities you need and expect for this price point. We choose the Lodge as we wanted to be based inside the Park for easier access to hiking trails and sightseeing after our daily hikes. This worked out well as the parking at the trailheads at Taggert Lake and Jenny Lake filled up. Our stay was in September after the start of school, but still there was a large demand for parking. This was my 5th time visiting Jackson Hole area, but my first time staying in the park. I would recommend staying in the park and at the Lodge for anyone with similar focus of their trip (hiking, sightseeing, critter watching, etc.). From the Lodge we could drive to Jackson, as we needed but being based in the park made it so more convenient.

Would like to leave a 5 star review, but this place is really showing its age.The good:The view is amazing. The people working here are doing a good job.The bad:The sofa bed is pretty much unusable as is...we took the mattress and put it on the floor so it could be used. The room was musty.

Let me share what made this a good experience at a property I have visited over the years to a 5 star review. We booked a guided fishing trip through Signal and had the pleasure of getting Damian who was AMAZING!! Such a good person and full of great stories!! The restaurant is going through some transitions and are not currently cooking the fish you catch (I hope this changes). The manager Gabriel made an exception for us and THAT is what makes a good experience GREAT. 5 stars to a wonderful guide and restaurant manager!!! This place is beautiful. Don’t hesitate to book!

We loved our stay at Signal Mountain Lodge. We had a lakefront room and it was perfect!! Plenty of space for our family of 4, and gorgeous views! There is even a resident elk you can spot around the property occasionally.Nearby activities: We did the half day charter fishing trip with Damien as our captain and it was amazing!! He engaged all of us throughout the trip, ensured the teenagers got on as many fish as they wanted and was entertaining with local stories. We got 13 fish to the boat, kept 3 for dinner and Damien even pointed out a few day use picnic spots where we could cook our fish over a campfire for dinner. Definitely do this trip if you like fishing!!

Our experience at Signal Mountain Lodge in Teton Park was nothing short of delightful. Despite the lodge being reasonably full, we had a fantastic time throughout our stay. The food offered at the lodge surpassed our expectations, with a wide variety of options and flavors that left our taste buds satisfied. One of the highlights of our visit was the exceptional boating facilities. We took full advantage of the picturesque surroundings, enjoying memorable moments on the water. The boating experience provided a unique perspective of the park's stunning landscapes and allowed us to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the surrounding nature. The staff at Signal Mountain Lodge were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Their genuine friendliness and helpfulness added a warm touch to our overall experience. From offering recommendations for local activities to ensuring our comfort, their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident.Considering the wonderful time we had, we have no doubt that we will visit Signal Mountain Lodge again in the future if the opportunity arises. Its prime location within Teton Park, combined with the good food, great boating facilities, and friendly staff, make it a highly recommended destination for anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Teton Mountains.Rooms: Very cozy, not flashy but very welcoming.Safety: Seemed very safe. No reason to believe otherwise.Food & drinks: Excellent food

This review is for the restaurant. This restaurant came recommended, so I stopped here during my trip to the Grand Tetons. I asked for patio seating and was told there would be a wait, so being in a hurry, I chose the indoor seating. By the time I was seated, I could see there was an empty table on the patio- guess they didn't want to give it to a single person, as I was a party of 1. I ordered the pasta with brocolini and fennel. It came out quickly, and I noticed immediately that there was no brocolini in it. I hate to waste food, so said they could cook me some brocolini on the side, which they provided chopped, and I added to my pasta. Btw, there wasn't enough fennel in the pasta to taste it- a few shreds at best. The waitress was very nice and provided good service. The manager comped me 10% ($2.10), which I thought was low given that my dining experience had essentially been ruined. Of course they charge inflated prices for providing hospitality to tourists, so when they do not meet the mark, they could have done better in compensation. My impression is that this place is over-rated.

If you enjoy your sleep I would recommend staying away from booking any room that will have a guest above you. You will hear every move they make. After they have checked out (even if it's 8 am) you will then be greeted by cleaning staff that immediately follows. If you have a dog the lodge will force you take one of these lower rooms. The logic behind that is completely lost on me. The guests will make far more noise than my dog ever will. To make things more interesting their restaurant has a limited take-out menu. This is normally fine, but if you have kids who don't eat their extremely limited breakfast menu the staff won't lift a finger to help accommodate you in any way. The manager even confirmed to me that I could take a table, order from their full menu, and then request it all be placed in to go containers. Due to time constraints (the whole reason I needed a take out option) I couldn't take things to this level. However, the point is my kids could have easily gotten a decent breakfast had the staff decided to assist me in some way. If none of that concerns you then you will indeed have a beautiful landscape to enjoy during your stay. I'll credit mother nature for that one though.

Amazing experience staying in the cabins here with my wife and 2 young children. The accommodations are great and they are committed to a national park feel at their business. Large box fan kept the daytime temps nice without air conditioning. The food is fantastic. I think this is a hidden gem and will absolutely return.

Had lunch here one day while wandering through. It was very busy but they were able to seat us in the Bar for immediate service vs a 20 minute plus wait for the Restaurant Dining area (which of course has a very nice view of Jenny Lake). Food was very good and of more than ample portions. The Staff were very attentive despite the crowd and service overall just impeccable.

We love this place! What’s not to love. The Grand Tetons! We actually booked this place this early summer, yet we had to cancel bc they changed their opening date a week later. Plane tickets already purchased, so we planned a differentDestination. We Love the cozy, rustic cabins. The fishing charters have tripled in pricing for some reason. The chefs are Phenomenal, they will cook your fresh catch to perfection. Always is the go to best family vacation. Have to book like almost a year in advance. Great hiking trails. Can’t wait to go back.

Cabins get 3/5 stars. No micro oven, Coffee or even kettle. The fridge was just standing mid room, very few power outlets and the whole cabin creaked.More attention can, and should be given to the cabin surrounding, where there was.dirt instead of grass. With that said, the cabin was clean and tidy. The restaurant was excellent, with amazing food and service.Kids loved the burgers, fish and fries and the excellent desserts. The vegetarian burger and taco salad were great and the soups savoury and tasty.I totally recommend stopping by the restaurant if you are i the area.

We had to do take out because they don’t offer dog friendly dining (bummer). Food was solidly average. Nothing exciting. Prices were higher than expected because of the price. No outside seats or tables so we ate on the curb. We did have a visit from an elk and got to enjoy the sunset in the end.
