As I passed though town I stopped here. I was excited because it's been on my list of things to do/see for some time after reading about it somewhere. I bought 3 truffles and 3 pastries. I asked the gentleman about the fancy chocolate chips he has for sale. Wanted to find out which was his favorite. Cause I like making chocolates too. He stated that he wouldn't sell it if it wasn't good. I definitely understand that however I wished he went in to more detail on each or say something about them so I could get a better feel on them other than the flavor profile displayed. Especially, because they are a bit pricy for a quarter pound of chocolate. I was the only customer in the store so I didn't think I was putting him out but after the silence I decided to just get what I did and nothing more. The truffles were ok. I did enjoy the Peanut Butter one the best. The Coconut and Irish Cream had just a hint of those flavors. Nothing special. The pastries were good. Unfortunately, I don't remember which ones were what but the cinnamon and sugar encrusted muffin shaped one was excellent.

The chocolates here are good. My Mango Habanero truffle was pretty mild in the spicy element. I was looking forward to more tingling spice. I'm sure the makers have to keep it tame to appeal to the general public.While man behind the counter (probably the owner and maker) was dressed nice, smiled, and was friendly, he sure eyed me closely upon my exit from the bathroom as if I might've stolen something.

The chocolate truffles are wonderful, if a bit pricey ($3.25 each). They are freshly made every day, and the sign says to eat them the same day or at least within 5 days. They are made without preservatives of any kind. The chocolate itself easily scores a 5 star rating. I only gave 4 stars because of the packaging. We bought 5 truffles of different flavors, and they were packaged safely in a box with tissue paper. But which truffle was which flavor? Yes, I could bite into one, but what does prickly pear taste like? Suppose that I wanted to save the Wyoming whiskey flavor for a friend. It would be helpful to have the truffles labeled in the box.

I am sitting in a park licking the paper my truffles were in. Incredible flavor blends. His pastries are also worth sampling and have their own hidden flavor bombs. Yum.

Wow! You haven't imagined heaven until you've had one of these truffles. I am in love with the Focaccia Truffle... you can taste the olive oil, herbs and salt.The custom 8 packs are the way to go plus a bag of bark!Advice: Order early because you have to get them over night delivery and prices go up

We were directed here by the Chamber of Commerce in Casper as we headed for Cody. They asked what we liked and my first thought was chocolate so the person then said you must go through Meeteetse and stop at the Cowboy Chocolatier . We contacted them by phone to make sure they would be open and the lady stayed a few minutes past closing to help us and another couple of tourists who drove up to the store just after we arrived. The chocolate was well worth the long drive, plus we got to see Thermopolis which we would have missed on our original route to Cody. This was five years ago and everyone we have encouraged to stop there since has thanked us for the suggestion.

So excited to get my shipment of Easter eggs from Meeteetse today! Shipping was fast and everything was in perfect condition. So gorgeous and delicious. I only wish I could post a photo! I love the handkerchief wrapping paper and the hand written note in my order. They really care about providing the best chocolate as well as customer service! Exceeded my expectations!

A friend recommended we stop by when they found out we were traveling in this direction, and we are glad that they did. It is amazing to find a chocolatier of this caliber in this small town. The chocolate is some of the best I have ever tasted! It literally melts in your mouth, the flavors are subtle yet satisfying and leaves you wanting more. Go early, they sell quickly, and you have to eat them within a few days…no preservatives. If you are anywhere close, stop here and enjoy!!

My kiddo and I love stopping here. I hate when ppl leave rude reviews for stupid things.... There are signs clearly posted not to touch the glass. We respect those signs and have never had any issues. I'm a millennial and my kiddo is a zoomer. The brownies are absolutely exuisite and the flavors of the truffles make it hard to only pick one or two. This is a standard stop whenever we are remotely close. It's a treasure in a state and a town so sparsely populated and we enjoy finding those! We've always had excellent customer service.

Amazing melt in your mouth truffles. This isn't like so many other places that just order in their truffles. These are fresh and some of the best you'll find anywhere. I brought a small box home to my wife and they lasted all of ten minutes.

I was driving through town on my way to Cody in June. I had heard about this chocolatier. I knew there was a chance he could be closed due to selling out. But I was extremely happy he had quite a bit of product when the family stopped in. We each got two truffles. We were not disappointed, had to pace my self eating them. If you’re ever in that part of Wyoming do yourselves a favor and give this wonderful shop a try. Also be patient there is only one employee making everything by hand. So there is always a chance he closes early so to being sold out. Don’t take your frustrations out on him or by leaving a nasty-gram or a nasty review.

Seldom do I have the opportunity to consume exquisite and carefully made edibles that are made with love. Such are the decadent chocolates​ that are created here! Dare I say that having a few of the truffles induced a euphoria and Afterglow? These are the best I have ever experienced. In the past, I have made a few types of candies myself, and am aware that to create a great final product, you must start with excellent ingredients, and have a razor-sharp focus on the entire process in order to deliver a candy that is great. I'm humbled by the superior chocolates offered by the Meeteetse Chocolatier. From the friendly staff, I've always received excellent suggestions and information about the various choices, including that which is safe for someone like myself who must do a gluten-free diet. He also offers some unique flavor combinations. If you love chocolate, or know someone who does, you'll be glad that you stopped by.

The candy is of good quality. The lady behind the counter is rude, mean and nasty. I have talked with other people and they say the same. You should be nice to the customer whom spends good money for this expensive candy. I will never go back. As others feel the same. Sad, but this is true..

I stopped in on a Friday afternoon and was warmly greeted by the sales lady there. She explained about the organic ingredients and lack of preservatives that meant consuming the chocolate within 5 days was necessary...mmm, okay! The variety of items to choose from was vast and I was able to make a selection of several items to consume and share with coworkers who gave rave reviews of the cranberry dark chocolate bark and the thin mint milk chocolate bark. My favorite item was the brownie topped with prairie sage infused ganache...a beautiful combination! This was my second visit, and I look forward to stopping in again. By the way, Meeteetse is a charming, unassuming place to visit or spend a night or two in. There are free museums, great eateries (I enjoyed fantastic battered cod and onion rings at The Elkhorn B&G), excellent scenery and outdoor activities, and a ghost town to visit after the creeks go down. Nothing about this area disappoints!

The best chocolate this side of Belgium! (Worth the beautiful side-trip on the motorcycles from Cody to find out!) Melt-in-your-mouth truffles, with very creative blends of SUBTLE flavors (hint to the nay-sayer who complained they didn't see large ungawdly chunks of sea salt like on cheap chocolates!) This Chocolatier knows his stuff! Read the website before you go- they're made fresh each MORNING - SMALL BATCHES - so Don't complain because you got there late in the day, & there wasn't much to choose from! They don't keep long - they're made to remind you to sit down, ENJOY AND SAVOR THE MOMENT & THE CHOCOLATE! As for the lovely silver-haired lady from London behind the counter, she's a kick! LOVED her sass & sense of humor! (And if you don't have a good sense of humor & understand a little sarcasm, you're missing out.) She's a true gem!

Stopped in there today after a drive to Meeteetse especially for the chocolatier only to be met with the most horrible customer service of my life. My son who had been waiting all day to get there rushed up to the display glass and looked at all the beautiful chocolates only to be RUDELY reprimanded by the old shrew of a shopkeeper for getting fingerprints on her clean glass. Are you kidding me? I don't even talk to my kid that way, I'll be damned if I'm going to drop my money and support a business that treats him like that. Turned around and left without buying anything. I won't be back.

Stopped by at 2:05pm. Google, Facebook and store window says the store closes at 3pm. The store was closed with people still inside. Lady inside said they are closed. A customer mentioned she closes every day at 2pm. If that is the case then change the signs. Very unprofessional.
