Shelves are often bare and entire categories will go unstocked for days or weeks. There’s regularly one cashier at peak hours with a line of 8+ people at self checkout. Shopping baskets are not available for months at a time. Some items are marked up by 25-30% compared to the grocery store a block away. Do better.

This place has always been pretty clean every time I’ve been in and I appreciate that. They do run out of stuff like the milk I usually buy and other popular items but overall it’s a good place for groceries.

Simply the saddest energy bar outdoorsy food section I've ever seen in an outdoorsy town. I would expect this in a small town in say Kansas but Lander is the outdoorsy capital of Wyoming....

Three stars because it's just okay. As far as grocery stores go, this is one of the mill. It is in Lander, so it is more expensive than most stores you may be used to. If you'd like cheaper groceries, you should go to Smith's in Riverton. Mr. D's also has good, cheaper food; however, you won't find better or more variety of produce in Fremont County.

The morning checkers seem to have rude customer service and complaining about their jobs down to an art form. I have shopped here for two years and it is always the same ladies gossiping about each other, their boss, and how much they hate their jobs, while completely ignoring their customers or treating them like an inconvenience. The evening crew does a little better, I'll give them that. On another note, why on earth does the store management insist on stocking the shelves during peak business hours? Who thought it was a good business model to have stockers blocking multiple aisles for 20 minutes or more while people are trying to shop? Finally, customers shouldn't have to sort through multiple containers or bags of produce to find the one that isn't moldy. We have shopped here because Mr. D's is a little more spendy, but I think that is about to change. They at least make an effort and treat their customers with respect.

I enjoy going to Safeway. Most of the employees are very helpful, and nice. I have always found what I need, plus things I did not know I wanted. If you like Sushi you should really try theirs.

I got one of the chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese TV dinners and when I ate it, it had plastic in it so I tried to return it and they laughed at me. I’m definitely NEVER going back… until I run out of toilet paper and milk.

Seems like a great place to get a quick bite of sushi and I have always loved their soup. When self-checkout is opened the lines move pretty quick. Their Bakery used to be a lot better all around in general the store has what you need.

Our cashier Jacque was so very friendly! I would return to this store, just to have her be my cashier again. Other workers were helpful and courteous. Definitely going to be main shopping place.

Found what I needed and store employees were helpful and friendly. When I got to the front register there was a line but a cashier opened another register and took care of me. I live all the goodies from the bakery and the folks in the deli are friendly and attentive. I got some fresh ground beef today and the gent at the meat counter helped me like a pro.

I was super impressed with the produce at this store!! I even purchased Kale to take 340 miles back home! Store was very well stocked, clean and reasonably priced! I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!!

A typical grocery store, except that the staff left much to be desired. Every other aisle had someone stocking shelves, which wouldn’t bother me, except none of them seemed to consider that people needed to use the aisle, and had them blocked. Only one lady was apologetic. The rest seemed to feel I was an inconvenience for shopping at 6:30 in the morning. Only begrudgingly and with poor attitude did they move their blockages. The check-out lanes seemed confused about who was supposed to be working. I was turned away from one of the two attended lanes, only to be directed back to it by the other. Both seemed to think they were closing their lane. Very poor organization. I would have used the automated check-out stands, except they hadn’t yet been activated for the day. Most grocery stores I’ve gone to in the early am hours have the auto lines ready the moment they open, to save on staff at a time of low traffic.

Usually pretty busy, you can catch it at times when shopping is easy. Very nice deli with Sushi and small table area to sit. Starbucks is inside and does a good deal of business. Good selection.

Nice, clean store. The prices are generally a little bit high, as is to be expected from Safeway or any other higher-end grocery store, but they make up for it with some pretty good sales.I understand that in a low-population neighborhood a 24-hour store wouldn't be economical, but 11pm is a little early to close when there's nothing else around.

I have been going to this Safeway store since they opened the new one many many years ago would someone please explain to the younger employees that walking 2 abreast down the aisles and expecting the customers to move out of the way is not good customer service. I have not shopped at Mr. D's since the new Safeway store opened but if I have one more experience like I had to day and over the last 3 trips I will be patronizing them again.

I have always done my shopping at our local Safeway. The new store is big, bright and very clean. Their meat prizes are a little high but in the time of our economy, what can we expect. Most all of the employees know me by name and will go out of their way to make sure I find what I need. Other than the store having only two check out lines open, when it is very busy, I enjoy shopping here.

This is a great Safeway in the middle of Wyoming. We come to this store often, and it is a great store situated in the middle of Wyoming. It offers excellent selection and competitive prices. I've had nothing but good experiences at this store.

We ordered 2 meals to go of chicken fried rice and chow mein and 2 pics of chicken rolls. The quality was measly and quality was terrible. We paid $5.99 plus tax each. Service was slow. Not a meal you want to order or eat again. The food was tasteless. The food at Panda Express was far superior.

Was disappointed that you couldn't get a vaccine as a walk-in we were traveling and it Was Monday Had only Wed or Sat available it seemed funny that we asked if they had the Pfizer and they said that they did but it would be expired Tues so on Wed it wouldn't be available. Doesn't anyone know there's a epidemic and best to vaccinate period.

I am so disappointed in the rewards program. The free reward item says you can one thing but does not specify what type you can get. For example, a free Signature Select pizza is awarded but does not clarify what KIND to get. They were all out of all the other pizza so I got a 3 meat one and it was NOT free. Again I got free large eggs reward , got the eggs NOT free. Ice cream same thing. No specifications on type. This is hard to navigate.

I was in Lander to visit the cemetery and stopped in the Safeway to buy flowers. As I walked in, there were T-shirts of Red Canyon which my Grandma's family had owned. I bought several but not enough for everyone in the family. I called last week and spoke to Adam, the assistant store manager to see if he could possibly send some shirts to me. He was very helpful and seemed happy to do this for me. I received the shirts today and am so thankful for the assistance provided by Adam and his assistant, Katrina. What great customer service! I definitely will continue to shop there when I'm in Lander!

I waited in a line for fifteen minutes to check out two zucchinis. The checkers showed no sympathy and they did nothing to quicken the experience. The self-checkouts there are also notoriously hard to use and are always crammed. The deli is okay and the new remodel looks nice but the new organization makes it very hard to find anything. There's a Starbucks there but it's always packed and I've waited over ten minutes there before I could even order on a Wednesday. I'd shop at Mr. D's over Safeway any day!
