Ask for Kyle, he is a great guy. Warm, welcoming, as friendly and helpful as they come. He is an exceptional guide for upland birds with the best pointers and Gordon setter you’ll ever seen. Truly a sight to be seen to watch his phenomenal dogs pin point game in the most beautiful places. It may seem impossible to find birds in these vast terrains but go with Kyle and his dogs and if they are there, you’ll be confident those dogs will find them. Makes the hunting even more pleasurable when the dogs do all the work and they are so cool to watch. You’ll almost wish you had a nice camera instead of a shotgun. I left in awe and very thankful.

The owner Kyle is incredible. Went in to the shop as a novice and Kyle was kind and informative with all my questions. I was able to be set up with everything I needed to start this great new passion and came out under what I had budgeted. I felt so helped and will definitely come back for all my fly fishing needs!!! If you are visiting Lander stop by the shop it is awesome and if you live in Lander and haven't been in, it is definitely worth the stop.

I spent about a week in Lander and I used the Lander Fly Shop as a resource for places to fish and supplies I needed. Kyle, the owner, is an exceptionally helpful and friendly guy. I can't think of anything that was missing from the shop that you'd need and it's really easy to find ( just as you enter town form the east, on Third and Main).In addition, I went on a half-day wading trip with Josh. We visited a couple of 'secret spots' on the Popo Agie river where we floated dries, cast nymphs and he gave me some tips on throwing streamers to large browns. It was a great time which I can really recommend.I'll be seeing them again the next time we go can back and I hope you'll visit them you.

Kyle is a solid character. I had never ever been fly fishing so his never ever package was perfect. I was able to use all of his gear to be sure it was something I was capable of prior to dropping the coin on a full set-up. After a full day of slaying fish on the river with his guide Jeff (also a solid character) I was eager to buy anything he told me I needed. Which, was a perfect opportunity for Kyle to take advantage of my fish slaying high. However, he did exactly the opposite by giving me discounts on everything I purchased and threw in a bunch of schwag to sweeten the deal. Great shop, great owner, great guide. Easiest 5 stars I've ever given! Hi-5..

A great place to pick up the odds and ends before heading out to the water. Knowledgeable staff and great products. The store is a simple and organized retailer, who is obviously avoiding inundating the angler with gadgets. Geoff is very well informed on local conditions as well as fisheries throughout the world. I buy a hand full of flies and end up getting good accurate information, as a bonus. Thanks guys!

My sister and I️ stopped in to pick their brain on the fishing in the area. The gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable and friendly. We are both fly fishing noobs and he didn’t mind me bringing my box into the shop to work through what I️ had versus what I️ need. High fives for this place for sure!

It is end of July 2022. Google this shop google took me to someone’s house. Then google new address took us back to town and closed down. Wasted an hour trying to find it.
