The rooms were pretty comfortable (especially for the price range), everything was very clean and all the staff were wonderful. The pool and hot tub were lovely. Another thing that really shined was the breakfast. I have never had a breakfast as good at this type of hotel. We stayed a few nights and each morning the breakfast was just as good, and even had some variation in the items offered from day to day. During stays in other places I have wished for a breakfast like the ones provided here. I will definitely stay here any time I am in the area and recommend it highly!

Wonderful place to stay for the area. Cozy lounge area with fireplace and seating. My room had loads of space and the bedding was very nice.Breakfast options were fabulous, all kinds of choices each day.Nearby activities: Fun fact, nearby Kemmerer has the Mother Store for JC Penny.

They would get 10 stars if that was an option. There are zero cons to this hotel, so here's all the pros:Front Desk:Sweet people, fulfilled my room request, called when I left items, but message didn't ring through until 11pm, after I'd left town, so they mailed it back to me.Breakfast:REAL eggs!!! And hands-down the best hotel breakfast we've ever had. So many options and everything was so good. Cherry on top was the sweetest breakfast lady who was so personable and helpful.Rooms:Clean, comfortable, and a nice size.Noise:Our two nights there were advertising nice and quiet. A very welcome reprieve from pretty much every hotel I've stayed in.I will also never complain about afternoon cookies 😜 Not sure we'll get to Kemmerer again, but if we do, we're definitely staying here.

There was some discrepancy between housekeeping and the front desk. After a failure to program the keys correctly we were given a room that had not been cleared. Front desk took care of us upgrading is to a King Suite and walking us to our room to ensure we had no further problems.Thank you!!Had a great time down at the pool and our room had tons of space! I cannot say enough about the breakfast offerings, really amazing!Would stay here again for sure!😃

Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and had a rotating menu.Plus they had andys mints at breakfast and lobby cookies in the afternoon.The pool and hot tub were a nice way to relax in the afternoons.Rooms: Super clean and quietWalkability: You can walk to pizza hut or artic circle for dinner but that's about itFood & drinks: Daily breakfast with a rotating menu.Morning drink options include. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, several juices, and a few types of milk.

My husband was born and raised in Kemmerer, WY, and we come here to visit with his Mum. Consequently, we have stayed at the Best Western Plus Fossil Country Inn & Suites on many occasions, and absolutely love it. We have traveled extensively, the world over, and have stayed in many many hotels, both Best Western hotels and other notable brands. The Best Western Plus Fossil Country Inn & Suites is not only the very best Best Western I have ever stayed at, but it ranks up there with the best hotels we have ever enjoyed. The hotel is always immaculately clean, inviting, and comfortable. The rooms are wonderful and the staff and always very friendly and welcoming. Today in Thanksgiving and the evening manager, Kim, brought in home made potato soup, home made biscuits, and pumpkin pie with cream, for everyone to enjoy. It was absolutely delicious, and such a kind and thoughtful gesture. In the two days we have been here so far, Kim has been so welcoming and friendly, and has treated us like family. What a pleasure it is to be here again. My husband and I both wish we could pack this hotel and its staff up and take it on our travels with us :-). Thank you, Kim, and to the hotel’s management.

Great rooms. Wonderful options for hot or cold breakfast with the sweetest waitress! No complaints other than you can’t walk anywhere really except to the gas station or Arctic Freeze?! I think was the name of the fast food restaurant-think Dairy Queen).Watched a huge antelope graze right across from the parking lot for hours. It’s right off the interstate but the town is further in so it takes about 5 minutes to Diamondville and 12 to Kemmerer. There’s a Ridley’s grocery in Kemmerer.

An amazing hotel. Very happily surprised, especially considering it's location. Loved everything about it. Very clean and well maintained. It looked brand new, though I was told it is 14 years old. Affordable. Great architecture, furniture, lighting, artwork (in the hallways even) and staff. My wife got tired of me raving about it.

One of the best hotels in their category (limited service) in which I have ever stayed. This is a gem in Wyoming. The hotel looks and feels brand new. The staff, from check-in, to Housekeeping to Breakfast (Eric), were all smiles and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, (eggs, omelettes, bacon, biscuits & gravy, waffles, and much much more. My room was large, clean, quiet and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful place to stay. To start, I made a mistake when making reservations and they were very gracious to accommodate me. The place is sparkling clean inside and out. Room has a nice size fridge, microwave and in-room coffee. I didn't see a safe. A free, hot breakfast is offered as well as various vending machine snacks and drinks. The staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommend!

Possibly one of my favorite Best Western Hotels. Breakfast is great. The staff is amazing and the pool is 24 hours. It is right off the highway making it is to access when traveling. It is always clean and they have a place to clean your dirty boots if they get gross.

If you have anything in your room that absolutely anyone could possibly be allergic to, you will be charged a fee. Staff states "this is the way the owners want our hotel to be run"EDIT : Allergies are not a sufficient reason to upcharge guests for a "pet friendly" room. ALL rooms should be cleaned sufficiently; Some guests enjoy peanuts, another allergen, so unless we are vetting what each individual guest brings into the room and cleaning accordingly, probably should eliminate the sign altogether.We have reached the end of companies justifying unethical practices with their "policies". Paying customers have policies too.

Great hotel! Perfect if you're traveling with pets too. Very clean and well maintained. We had our dog, which is only 20$ pet fee, but the pet room we had was super clean. They do a really good job here of cleaning after each pet. They vaccumm, wash all the sheets and comforters, etc. The breakfast each morning is also delicious. One morning was ham and eggs, another sausage and eggs, waffles, yogurt...the standard hotel breakfast but they had extra stuff like soy milk, fruit cups, etc. Highly recommend.

I’ve been staying here off and on since 2013 for work. On two separate stays and rooms I had encountered bed bugs.* The last was roughly 2017-ish. Haven’t encountered any problems since then. Hotel is ALWAYS clean. I would still recommend staying here. I still stay here.Their breakfast spread is pretty dang good. Staff is always pleasant.*I suppose you should always check each layer of bedding and the mattress to put your mind at ease in that regard (anywhere you stay).

This property appears to be new. Very clean, quiet and presentable. We were moving across the country and were very happy they had a room available as we didn't make a reservation. The staff were helpful. Easily accessible from the freeway. Nice indoor pool and fitness area. The breakfast was a bit slim in the way of choices but the presentation was nice and it was a very clean area. The attendants were very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
