Best part of the stay was breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls in a cast iron skillet and breakfast burritos. Listen, I'm still thinking about these breakfast burritos. I have stayed here multiple times but my most recent stay was for my mom's funeral, I hadn't been eating much because if the grief but those burritos were a delicious comfort during that time. Everyone was very kind and welcoming.

We stayed one night, but I would not hesitate to stay more a this motel. The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. Our room wasn't fancy, but it was clean. There was a bar/restaurant close by that served good food. Like every place we visited or stayed, everyone is short staffed. All the people we encountered had a smile on their face even though their eyes showed tiredness. The host helped us to find the Oregon Trail wagon tracks and pointed out other areas of interest. Loved this place. Stay here for no other reason than the WONDERFUL HOMEMADE breakfast. Great VALUE.If you are traveling with kids ask the owner to show them his mounted rattlesnake. I HATE snakes, but it was interesting to touch one and see it rattles.

I really enjoyed my stay here. From the lovely lady who checked me in to the really nice gentleman who was there to greet me at breakfast. Hardcore small town locally owned place. The motel was quaint and cozy, the room was clean... Spotless in fact. The location is great to get to Fort Laramie and it is located in a very walkable part of town. (I imagine the entire town is walkable to be fair). I felt safe here, and the entire experience was unexpectedly great.

This is a wonderful place, full of good service for a great price. My wife, daughter, and I stayed here on December 23, 2022. Rhonda checked us in. She was super friendly and helpful. Gordon, the owner, was there in the morning. He's so friendly as well. Nice people. Room was comfortable, quiet, clean, and there was easy access with parking in front of the door. They serviced a homemade breakfast burritos, cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy. So yummy. There was also cereal, fruit, yogurt, hot coffee, and other items. It was a great deal for only $89. The decor is western style with cool decorations. Highly recommended. Thank you Gordon and Rhonda.

Quiet, quaint motel. Very clean, had a comfortable bed. Outstanding breakfast, we had homemade breakfast burritos and cinnamon buns. We had some engine trouble, and the owner Gordon gave us rags and jugs of water to take along the road if needed. EXCELLENT small town service, you won't get that kind of help from an expensive chain hotel!! Highly recommend!!Rooms: Old style decorations from the 70's and probably earlierFood & drinks: Great breakfast, homemade items plus fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals.

The owner is a very genuinely kind, attentive and accommodating person. The motel is family owned and you can tell they take great pride in their business. The rooms are clean and the home made breakfast burritos and cinnamon rolls are delicious. The main lobby was decorated festively for the holidays and the motel overall has a rustic cozy feel. If you’re through the area and have a chance to support this business you should!

Cute little motel for one night. The bed was comfy, although the linens were a bit dated. The room could definitely use a good deep cleaning including dusting. The bathroom could also use a bit of updating. The service was great, the front desk associates both in the evening and morning were very friendly and polite. The breakfast lacked a bit for me and my kids though, we are not fans of biscuits and gravy so we had a yogurt and cinnamon roll which was good but would have been better warm (I guess we were there too late for the fresh ones.)

Wonderful motel, definitely one of the finest and cleanest motels I've ever had the pleasure of staying. Totally lucked out, because of a blizzard- road closure... Staff was extremely helpful and kind... The young lady who was managing, was super helpful and a great Cook!!! The biscuits and gravy was Awesome, and so was the breakfast barreto's 😋 home cooked I might add! I would highly recommend this motel to any traveler! I'm going to go back, just to hangout, there is a super nice bar and grill not 100 feet away.

If your looking for fancy, we'll this may not be for you. But if you want clean rustic rooms, then I think you'll like this place. The owner comes around and visits with his guests. We had several good conversations the two days we stayed there. Fort Laramie was just 10 miles south and that was why we made a trip through here. There's lots of other things in the area to do. The maids were friendly and didn't hesitate to visit with you and the kept the rooms clean. . If we ever get back this way, this is where we will stay!

The rooms are very simple but they have all the basics. This is a country motel, so don't expect spas and bellhops. The breakfast had few choices but they were all decent. All that said, the front desk was extremely helpful with loads of knowledge and suggestions for local sightseeing and activities. A solid choice if you're going to Guernsey State Park and want more than a yurt.

Adorable!!! This was the cutest and most charming little motel we have seen in years. Our family was driving from San Diego Ca and needed a place to rest up before heading in to the black hills of South Dakota. The rooms are decorated perfectly in the cutest western design. EXTREMELY clean and cozy!! But by far our favorite part was the HOMEMADE breakfast of cinnamon rolls, biscuits (all homemade too) and gravy and the famous burritos! 10/10 on my food ranking scale. And I'm from San Diego! Absolutely would love to stay here again. The staff was super helpful and very friendly!

While traveling on business, I found myself in Guernsey, WY. Looking for a place to stay, I stumbled across the Bunkhouse Motel and I am so glad I did. A very charming motel with a cowboy motif that won me over in a New York minutes. The kind man welcomed me and I got me checked in right away. He informed me that the was a complimentary breakfast in the morning, which rocked. He also gave me a couple of of breakfast burritos in case I got hungry later. You can't put a price on that. The rooms were warm and welcoming. A very quiet neighborhood that had me sleeping like a baby. I'm not a hundred percent sure when I'll find myself back in Guernsey, WY., but I absolutely know where I'll be staying when I do.

This was a fun place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. But the staff really made the experience special. What great people! Everyone that works there is super nice and helpful. Their complimentary breakfast includes homemade breakfast burritos and fresh cinnamon rolls. Places like this are why we never stay at chain motels. These people do it right.
