Great spot for t-shirts (epic nature & indigenous images or humorous) and gifts. They offer a wife variety of beaded items, jewelry, and accessories. Lots of Pendleton items as well. They also sell fabric by the yard and gift wrap.

Was really disappointed with this shop. I was expecting to find something locally made to take home but no. Every item I grabbed was made in Dominican republic, Pakistan or elsewhere. The museum was cool.

Much of the merchandise isn’t locally made, but the museum area in the back was wonderful and there were some keychains and a few other items made by local indigenous artists in the same room as the museum. The selection of books was good. I ended up purchasing a stuffed Sasquatch, which I had not seen before anywhere else. There were also some really nice metal Marine and Army items.

Support this nice shop. I love their T-shirt saying: Fighting terrorisme since 1492. Landscapes around are beautiful, as får as the eye can see.

Was looking for some moderately priced, artisan crafted souvenir earrings. Was disappointed. While I am willing to pay exceptional prices for exceptional work what I saw in the moderate price range was, in my opinion, not exceptional. I collect bangles but the ones I was shown were of lesser quality to what I've seen at Renfests. There were some very expensive pieces of jewelry which looked to be of good quality in some specialty cases but I wanted something more moderately priced. However, it has lots of other stuff so it was a pleasant way to window shop for a half hour or so and things appeared to be authentic native made so not a cultural rip off. Staff was attentive without being pushy.

This store is an absolute must-see if you are anywhere in the area, there is nothing else like it around. Full of truly beautiful and unique one of a kind pieces made by local Arapaho artisans, everything from beaded jewelry, turquoise and silver, flutes, woven baskets rugs, the most beautiful wool jacket I've ever seen, local rocks (jade!) Unique furniture, and a full selection of men, women's, and children's clothes. There are informative books and with a full museum-quality display of tribal artifacts in the back room. There are no photos allowed in the store, but i HIGHLY encourage everyone to give this store and the people of the Wind River Reservation your money directly.

Very cool place. The gift shop was ok but the museum was outstanding! Nice folks in the place, we spent some money and killed an hour.

This is not a native owned company and they look to be taking advantage of operating on native land within the wind river reservation taking advantage of native workers and exploiting some native made products. Please spend your money where it will actually benefit native lives. This company is operated by the hines family and management was egregiously demeaning to the native staff while we were there. Not only this but 90% of the products were cheap and not authentic to say the least. I hope they do not profit further.

Very big place to shop Native American items that are authentic. Funny and pretty shirts, gorgeous jewelry, and tons of other items. A little pricey but worth it when it is authentic and going to the community. Very nice ladies at the checkout counter. Went during COVID and felt safe. Masks required. :) I got a beautiful dreamcatcher I can't wait to hang up.

This was a great surprise in the middle of a Reservation. The merchandise was well made, although not all made by Native Americans, and a great selection. The price ranges make it so anyone should be able to find something. There's also a wonderful display of original historical items. The two ladies really took the time to try and find the perfect gifts for my grandkids.

This place is simply amazing. We we were on a family trip going from Teton NP to Devil's Tower and looking for somewhere to see some Native American culture. So glad that I read about this place! The store is large and very well kept and sells quality souvenirs and crafts. But more significantly, it features an amazing collection of Indian artwork and historic artifacts. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated the collection of 19th century firearms. Both my sons and I greatly enjoyed it and also learned a lot about the reservation and the culture it.Date of experience: August 2021

We went to see the eclipse and stopped here. Sweet employees and beautiful crafts for sale! We felt it was way worth the stop! Some items were over-priced, but it's a reservation craft shop, I feel that's to be expected.

Great place for beading and other products. We've visited other stores in Fremont county and Wind River Trading Post definitely had the best prices and selection. The service was helpful and friendly. I also liked the lay out of the store. Well organized and tidy.

Great shop to buy just about anything souvenir related. I bought a hoodie. My friend bought one also and a pair of earrings. Prices on most items are good deals.

Beautiful store and lovely staff. Not only can you buy Minnetonka moccasins, but you can get all of the supplies (leather, sinew, beads) to make your own. This reminded me of our friend Will teaching me to make squaw boots.

We drove through Fort Washakie, WY, with no prior knowledge of the store, and we had no idea how wonderful this trading post is! The staff was welcoming and helpful, and we wound up not only buying jewelry for my daughter and I, we bought all the Christmas gifts we needed for our family!

I really enjoyed conversing with the shopkeepers and I was incredibly impressed with the quality of their goods as well as their pricing. For example, I purchased the small Native American flute for $26 which in every other place that I looked was over 70 and my son had his dream come true and was able to finally purchase an authentic obsidian knife for a reasonable price I would definitely recommend stopping in to the Wind River Trading Outpost

The store has an interesting layout, sort of like a vendor boutique fair. While there are many Native American made products, there are also imports. Unfortunately, they don't offer any local artists work. That's a shame because Fort Washakie has many great artists and crafts people.

This was an interesting place! Most of the merchandice is "foreign"! Made in china. There are some local artists and local crafts. But mostly a "tourist" store....

Overall neat stuff just wished there were more hand made items from the Shoshone tribe to purchase rather than generic made native themed stuff. We really wanted to contribute more to the natives.
