For Pete's Sake is the hidden gem of Evanston if your looking for bite to eat and great coffee with fast friendly service.1/13/2024- Another Excellent experience at For Pete's Sake. The kitchen sink omelet was absolutely delectable as was my whole meal. Rachel my server was friendly and on point with not only her service but her demeanor. If your passing through Evanston and want the hottest freshest coffee or a delicious bite to eat For Pete's Sake has it. Clean, warm inviting atmosphere !!!! Thank You Mr. Bass.

We passed through Evanston on our way to Colorado and picked this cafe because of the name (lol) and also the food looked incredible in the photos.We got breakfast sandwich bagles and they were incredible! Fresh and very clearly made from scratch to order.The space reminded me of a cafe you'd find in Venice, CA. There is a yoga studio upstairs and art made by local artists for sale all around. The cafe has loads of space so we didn't feel like we were in anyone's business while we ate. The coffee was smooth and easy to drink.But the gold star is really for the service!! I love to talk to people and get to know about the local life when we travel and this cafe in Evanston was easily one off the friendliest and most open places I've been too. If you're not sure where to go, choose For Pete's Sake.

Had two different coffees and the egg and cheese bagel on sourdough. Super good. The coffees were perfect. Sourdough bagel really good. Homemade? Great, friendly people. Highly recommend.

Pete's is a great little coffee shop I love the atmosphere love that it's Christian based. Lots of choices for coffee, teas and more they have lots of good choices as well. The specialty coffees are not really my style only because they're not sweet enough for me personally. That's just me though. The food is good I have had a lot of items off the menu and everything has been good so far that I've triedDietary restrictions: They do have dairy free options for coffee witch makes me very happy 😄

Wow, this place is the best! We were traveling through and decided to check it out. So glad we did! The coffee is fresh, hot, tasty. We got bagel breakfast sandwiches for the road. Excellent. We met “Pete” and he is a character! Friendly and loaded with puns.

Enjoyed the coffee. The batch brew was a dark roast that I normally don’t like but it was very good. Also had scrambled eggs and bacon. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich. Both were very tasty and hit the spot for lunch. Recommend at stop there if you’re in the area.

The variety in coffee is so nice and I haven't tried anything I don't love! I'm also obsessed with their breakfast bagel sandwiches 🤩 plus they have fun gifts from local businesses!Kid-friendliness: My little kids have always been welcome and treated so well. There are toys and books for them to play with too!

Best coffee shop in town. The building itself is huge with lots of open space. There is plenty of seating and even a play area for kids. They also serve breakfast and lunch. The food is great, and the owner Pete is very kind and attentive to everyone that walks in the door. Highly recommended to anyone in the area!

Came here because we are truckers and this place wasn't to far from where we parked.I got a Banana Latte and a Chocolate cookie dough Latte and they was both delicious 😋 I also got the Rancher bagel which was also really good. Staff was friendly as well. I'll be back the next time I come through.

Seems to be great place to hang out with friends. Great (community) feeling. Only issue: a bit expensive (I just got a coffee). Coffee (white chocolate mocha with peppermint) was burned.Barista was very friendly and shared a but about Evanston which was greatly appreciated.

I love this place. Pete is a friendly and good-natured fellow and Jen is one of my favorite people in town. She's always coming up with great pastries. All the staff are most pleasant. I like the large open space and variety of tables and chairs. Free internet of course.If you just want coffee there's plain coffee and the lattes and stuff. If you want breakfast or sandwiches there's a decent menu.Two nice features are the display of local art work and shelves of books that people contribute. If you want one of the books you pay what you think it's worth.It's right downtown across from the county government offices and four blocks from the old restored roundhouse where they're also restoring an old steam engine. Serious railroad action there.Lots of parking and about seven blocks from one interstate exchange.

I don't drink coffee but this place makes me wish I did. It does have a nice selection of hot tea. Such a great vibe, an awesome place to socialize or sit and read a book. They even have toys for little kids to play with. Most importantly they have the best bagels I have had since moving out of New York. I will be driving the almost 2 hours every couple of months to get my bagel fix!

The friendliest and most pleasant staff I’ve ever encountered, anywhere! I’m from across the country and this little place blew me away. Delicious sandwiches, delicious coffee, so many bagel options, and the staff has meaningful conversation with you! Best stop ever!
