I wish I could give this campground more than 5 stars. Clean, scenic and super helpful! The bath house was squeaky clean every time I went in. The Landry facilities were great! The staff was so helpful. The scenic river was beautiful. The local restaurants were yummy! I highly recommend this campground!Food & drinks: Great local restaurants!

The absolute best KOA ever. For those that want something off the beaten path and wanting to engage in small town life just outside of the Tetons and Yellowstone...this place is a must stay. Beth and Ken are fantastic hosts and take care of their guests. We can't wait, weather permitting, to visit when they re-open for the season in Apr'24.

Great KOA, sites gravel with grassy area and patio, rates very reasonable. Restrooms clean, laundry room, store well stocked (was end of season with great deals). Great views from any of the camp sites. Staff was fantastic, engaging, a joy to talk with. Gas station (for those of you worried regarding fuel) was less than 100 yards from entrance. Only stayed for one night but would stay again.

Lovely KOA located in quiet, shaded area away from the highway and noisy streets but still easy to access. Our trailer site backed up to the Wind River. Grass was everywhere so we could get to the river without having to tread thru mud, weeds or rocks. The sound of the rushing water was very soothing and the river was beautiful. There is ample space between campsites so you have some privacy but the KOA was full so there were trailers, luxury buses etc in each site plus a nice location for tent campers. The people around us were very friendly and quiet at night. There is a covered swimming pool plus miniature golf, lots of walking area, dog friendly. There are picnic tables for each site plus fire pits.

We stayed in a cabin with half bath, it was really clean and office guest were welcoming. I was surprised they offer free coffee. The guy that does the wood carving is very talented and prices are very fair. Please support local vendors. We purchased a bear and it was beautiful.Bathrooms need updating, I was just grateful for having somewhere to shower.Rooms: Clean cabin and half bath.

Traveling the National Parks, as it is difficult to get sites inside the parks, it's nice to have a place with most of the amenities nearby, We traveled into the Tetons and southern Yellowstone from the KOA. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the pool, did my laps for exercise almost everyday after going to the parks. The site we had was ideal and loved walking along the river each evening. Very dog friendly, Zeus loved playing in the dog park area, walking along the river and taking a run through the quaint town.

My second experience at a KOA. Facility was nice, right along the river which made it even better. Did a daily commute to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Took about an hour each way to the Grand Tetons. I rented a tent site #T5. T5 was the largest fit my Chevy Traverse and 8 person tent. No complaints. Bathrooms were clean but could use an update to offer individual room showers.

We had a cabin/lodge that was luxurious. The deck overlooked such a beautiful scene of the mountains where you could have your morning coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet. The staff was friendly, pleasant and helpful. Our stay was comfortable and would reserve again if travelling in this area. The only problem we had was that our stay was short.

Very nice campground. Would recommend getting a spot in the back by the river. They even had some spots that had built in dog kennels and some spots with good sized decks. Most of the spots were far apart and most had a campfire ring. The pool area was awesome. It was enclosed and the pool was big and heated. They even had a pool table and ping pong table in the pool area. Located in a neat rustic town. The camp hosts were very nice and funny as well.

The service at this KOA was exceptional. The lady that we checked in with was so incredibly helpful and even gave us some tips on some scenic drives in the area. Every staff member we interacted with was super friendly. We stayed in a camper cabin with a half bathroom. The cabin was clean and had quite a bit of space. We really enjoyed the porch area which had a view of the mountains. We did have a little bit of trouble with opening and closing the door to the cabin - it got stuck a few times - but that could have been operator error as well! We had a minor issue twice with campers who were checking in blocking the entrance to the road that leads to the camper cabins. They could maybe use a separate space or better direction on where campers should park when checking in - but this was a minor issue and the campers were really nice about moving quickly. The KOA is in a great location in Dubois, and there are a lot of really fun things to do in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful KOA! We stayed in a Kabin, it was quiet and had a beautiful view. Very peaceful location, not far from the Tetons and lots of great hiking, camping or fishing around the KOA. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the bathrooms were so clean, they cleaned them several times a day. The gift shop was awesome, I bought some stuff there. I talked to the lady that worked there, she is also from Indiana, where we are from. Great and affordable laundry room. They had a guy that does wood carving come out and demonstrate how he carves wooden bears. They were beautiful, so we ordered one from him and he will ship it when it's done. Highly recommend this KOA, we stay at a lot of KOA's and this one was one of the best ones ever.

We stayed 3 nights on a river site, really nice except we had neighborswith at least 4 dogs that barked constantly that made our stay not so enjoyable also would be nice if you had a specific area for dog walking. Campers walking through our river front site every day without poo bags.Had to pick up poo when we arrived.About an hour drive to both Tetons and Yellowstone. Also would like to know what your protocol is on campers leaving the 4 dogs inside all day while they were gone.I feel sorry for these dogs...no wonder they bark all the time.I'm an animal lover we travel with 2 cats.

We stayed in one of the cabins that had the full bathroom. It worked great for our purposes. 4 guys traveling to Sturgis on motorcycles. It says it sleeps 4-6, that does mean a couple have to double up. We put some cots on the floor instead … it was comfortable enough and dry.The chainsaw carver was more entertaining than we expected, and the grizzly bear paw cookies were a nice surprise. This is a good place to stay near enough to the Grand Tetons. We’ll be back with the families next time.Rooms: The cabin with the full bathroom (shower only, no tub) is not wheelchair accessible. The price was right, as the hotel in town wanted $300+ a night. We paid about $54 per person.

This KOA is fantastic! We stayed here on a multi-family trip, as a basecamp for visiting the Grand Tetons, and found this KOA so clean, fun, accommodating, and overall wonderful! The kids LOVED the huge pool/game house and the gem mining! The cozy cabins with half bathrooms were amazing...we felt SO spoiled!! The gift shop was awesome and had everything we might have forgotten. Amazing KOA!

I was asked to take a survey but noticed that my review wasn't posted on the KOA website. The campground was really pretty and the staff was nice. The bathrooms were clean and the fire wood was great! However, apparently, the campsite is directly across the street from a fire department and they use a very LOUD and jarring alarm system to call their staff members back to the station. This happened after 1:00 am. My kids woke up crying and I felt like an air raid was taking place - and having a heart attack. It was unforgivably loud and scary and we did not fall back to sleep. This should be posted on the website as an alert before booking. I paid almost $100 for one night. This is way too expensive for this type of experience. Probably the worst camping/sleeping experience we have had. When I signed in, the lady did mention that the fire department may have a small alert but nothing to worry about. This was not small.Come prepared as my ear plugs failed.

There are very few tent sites (lots of rv sites and cabins), and they were closer together than what we're accustomed to, but that didn't bother us in the least. Site was level, had a fire ring, picnic table, round "cable spool" table, and built-in counter/ shelves next to water spout—perfect for setting up the camp stove and kitchen area. The site was plenty big enough for our 8-person tent and the large "front porch" tarp area (big enough for our 3 camp chairs and camp table for playing cards or dominoes) and our dogs to hang out on.I believe there were several bathrooms, but we only used the two right near our tent site. They were each a private bathroom containing a sink, toilet, and shower, and they were clean and comfortable.I'm sad I didn't have time to enjoy the pool (heated or indoor, I think) of the mini golf, but our boy sure enjoyed the wifi and the general store, and he and the dogs enjoyed the dog park. The staff were friendly and solicitous, and the entire place was well-kept and family-friendly.

Lovely campsite, extremely well maintained. Right in town so super handy location but on a back road so away from all the noise. Great facilities, laundry room has a dining table and microwave. Also outdoor seating under the porch. Good value, would absolutely stay again when visiting Dubois.Walkability: Right in town, easy walk to everything.

The sign says “Presidents Award” at the entry. I can see why. First, location, location, location! We stopped off here for the night before heading to the Great Tetons. The views around Dubois are wonderful. This KOA has a creek running through it with sites right on the banks. Clean is an understatement. Accommodating staff. We are wondering if we could come back for a month next year! The town of Dubois is charming. We walked to town from camp for pizza. Not bad camping if I may say so. Highly recommend a visit here.

Paid for a site with water and electric. Had electric not water. Had to use the tents. The man told us he forgot to put it on the site. We are from the East Coast no idea about the wind here. Knowing we have a tent we were put in a wind tunnel. Almost lost the tent. Luckily had extra support straps The next morning I am taking the trash out and the man who lives above the office comes out of his way to approach me. He tells me where the trash is ok that's nice. Then he starts laughing about the wind to which I replied yes glad we didn't loose the tent being put in a wind tunnel. His response you won't loose it if you are in it. Well maybe not but my husband about lost it putting it up. Odd situation there. My husband shared the lady inside said putt putt is no charge. I went in there was the morning manager on the phone. I politely waited. I told her what I just stated and she yelled at me. My daughter backed up said it would be 5. No problem would have paid but after being yelled at walked out. Never set foot in the office again husband did. Obviously there was a miscommunication with the putt putt between people and what could have been handled professionally was not. The experience was ok not horrible hence the 3 stars. We loved the indoor pool. It was so refreshing and the kids enjoyed the playground as well. My goal in writing these reviews is to share an honest experience and help others.

Our dog was diagnosed with kennel cough last night at the emergency vet. We tried to cancel our tent site for tonight and they will not make an exception for a refund. We offered to provide documentation so they knew we weren't lying. We didn't want our dog around other dogs as she is contagious and to be coughing and keeping other campers up all night. This was something out of our control and were hoping they would recognize that. We were trying to do the right thing. They are not. It's a tent site. It was just one night. They are to busy worrying about the money than being a decent human being.

We cannot explain in words how great the staff was. They went above and beyond what was required to make us happy. The service was second to none; the facilities were super clean; the location of the camp was gorgeous. Empty gas bottles were picked up from my site, and returned; a huge kennel was moved to my site for my dogs; and much more out-of-this-world stuff one wouldn’t expect. The staff was knowledgeable about the area, and send us where we could best experience what we wanted. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank the staff for a great experience! We hope to see you again next year!

Had an issue with RV and the managers went out of their way to try to get it resolved so we could safely continue our trip. The campground is clean and well run and they even rent Jeeps and UTVs. Have stayed at many campgrounds that aren't remembered since they were just a stop on the way to a destinaion but this one will be remembered as it was like staying with friends.

My review is pertaining to the biker/ hiker crowd. When I arrived 10 minutes prior to close, I paid and was told that I had 10 minutes to get a shower and return the towel. No worries. The next day, I left my gear (it was neatly packed up) under the shed we were told to camp around, and left my electronics plugged inside while I ran my chores around town. When I returned, I was told that since it was after checkout, I would need to pay for a 2nd night. I asked the employee when checkout was, and I was informed, after the fact, that it was actuallt at 11am, I paid. I was told by the employee that she had made all bikers/ hikers who had done a similar thing pay for a 2nd night. I asked the other bikers/hikers about the situation and they were similarly ignorant about the checkout time (implying that we likely hadn't been told on check-in). Honestly, this was my first stay at a KOA, and I was ignorant regarding the strict policies. Had I been informed about the checkout time, I would've honored it. As I, nor the others that were staying here as bikers/ hikers were informed of the policy, it seemed like we were being strong armed into paying for a 2nd night when we had no intentions to stay.I've stayed in hotels in my travels, and am well aware of checkout times. That being said, typically the custom on these routes and trails when staying at a hiker/biker campground, is as long as your gear is up and you arent taking up too much space, you're fine to leave your gear while you take care of town chores.Once again, had they advertised checkout times when I had paid, this likely would've been a positive review as the facilities were clean, etc. But unfortunately, I left this place with a bad taste in my mouth feeling that I'd been ripped off. After talking to more people on my route, I was told that they now no longer have a biker/hiker section due to misbehavior on our (bikers and hikers) part. I can only assume someone had a stronger negative reaction than we did and this likely could've been avoided with better communication on the KOAs part concerning their policies.*Edit*I stated that I "was told that I had 10 minutes to get a shower and return the towel.", as I was, in fact told that verbatim. Concerning the map, I was never given a map of the property, nor a checkout time. It was very possible the employee forgot to give me one, as like I've already stated, it was 10 minutes before close. I've got a witness to the first event. They were equally confused concerning the 10 minutes to return the towel. The same individual checked in at the same time as me, and was never given a map. It's unfortunate that people mistreat your employees. That being said, if you ensured your employees followed your policies of informing these customers of your regulations upon check-in, I'm sure you would see a reduced number of these issues. Once again, I would like you to understand; when I asked the other bikers and hikers, they were similarly ignorant concerning checkout times, etc. I don't believe they simply ignored the clerk, I believe it is more likely that they weren't told in the first place. As stated previously, this review would've been positive had this issue not occurred. I've brought to your attention an issue that needs to be addressed with your employees. No matter what time an individual checks in, they need to be made aware of your rules. Also, maybe ask your closing employees why they are imploring individuals to return the rented towels prior to close.
