Y’all don’t even understand how great this barbecue is. The brisket is smoked to perfection, the fries, Mac and cheese, and corn muffins are incredible. You can cut the brisket with a plastic fork. That’s WILD.Also, the huckleberry margarita and the strawberry rhubarb fried pie will make any bad day 1000x better. The staff and owners are incredibly kind and thoughtful. Truly a wonderful place to grab lunch and hang out!

My mom, husband, and I shared a smoked turkey leg and the BBQ Combo, with mac n cheese, fries, beans, and fresh pickles as sides. It was WAY more food than we needed but it was a hungry summer afternoon and we wanted to try everything. The turkey leg was a special that day and we were so glad it was, perfect smoked flavor that transported me to Disneyland or a Faire. We washed everything down with some spectacular frozen huckleberry margaritas. The view on the well-behaved dog friendly deck was absolutely top notch. It is wonderful enjoying a feast surrounded by Cottonwood trees and the sound of the Wind River. When you first arrive, there may be a line, but it moves rapidly and our food was delivered to our numbered table in a timely fashion. The staff was very accommodating and available to assist with our special requests. It was truly a cozy and delicious experience.Parking: Parking is shared with the ACE hardware but there was plenty of it when we arrived during a busy weekend lunch hour.

Came in last minute it was almost closing time, cashier was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the brisket, ribs and side of potatoes salad. We were so surprised that portions were large and brisket and ribs were juicy and very tasty. Homemade cornbread was delicious. After a long trip from California it was very comforting to find some good barbecue.

So I promised the employees, I would leave an honest review. Being from Texas, I was very skeptical about BBQ in Wyoming. So here goes, the brisket was very good. Not the best I've ever had, but would absolutely eat it again. The Elk sausage was not impressive. It had a bland taste to it, but not awful. The BBQ sauce is vinegar based, so if you're used to sauce in the south, it will be very different for you. Now, the beans....were probably the BEST I've ever had! Absolutely delicious! Must order them if you go! The pie and ice cream were also phenomenal. Overall, I would absolutely return to this place.

Made a pit stop @ 2Z’s on the way back from Texas. Funny thing is, this hidden BBQ joint was better BBQ than we had all over the Lone star State. The BBQ (pulled pork, ribs) was so good and all made from scratch but - for me - the sides ( also made from scratch) were the breakout stars. I could swim in those beans, the coleslaw complimented the pulled pork so well, and the cornbread!!!!!!!Beyond all that, the staff were so friendly, accommodating, and non-assuming. Some of them have been around for seven generations! This is a must-stop if you’re in the area.

An absolute must stop if in the area. This place is the best BBQ I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is beautiful. Nice creek running next to the outdoor dining area. Highly recommend. This will be my go to anytime I am in the area. Stop in and try it for yourself you will not be disappointed regardless what you order.

Dog friendly patio made us stop for this place but man oh man, we did not expect it to be as delicious as it was. Hubs had brisket, I had pulled pork. Sides we had were beans, potato salad and coleslaw. Delicious. The scenery was epic with being right on the creek and the service was incredibly kind. Lovely place to eat in Dubois, would definitely come back!

Great food, service, and atmosphere! Traveling with our dog this place has a pet friendly patio right on a creek. Husband and son got the brisket, delicious! I had the pulled pork. BBQ sauce was great, as was the coleslaw. The two guys running it were hoppin busy and still had smiles and were polite to the customers. Thank you for a great relaxing meal during our travels.

Both the brisket and the pulled pork were poor cuts, exceptionally fatty/greasy, the bark was soggy, and everything tasted overpoweringly of Artificial Smoke. The French fries would have been quite good, but I ordered them dirty. The menu states this is with pulled pork, but it had all kinds of beans (cool) and coleslaw (yuck) which soaked the fries. On the menu the sides state they are big enough to share, which I guess is technically the truth about any size, but the little cup of Mac&Cheese was disappointing. It tasted ok, but felt like it came out a freezer. The outdoor seating on the river was nice. Service was friendly.

Nice little restaurant by the river. Weather permitting the outside seating is really nice. The pork combo for $22 easily feeds 3 or 4 especially if you have some of the sides and was really yummy. I'd definitely eat there again.

Brisket was 50% fat or sinew. No forks. Didn’t tell me this until after they served my food and I went searching. Sides were way too - $5 fries for a small basket.

This is a great BBQ joint hidden in Dubois! The outdoor seating along the river is such a cool spot. The food was awesome and would hold up to most BBQ snobs. The smoke level on the meats was perfect. The elk sausage is a must eat. The cornbread muffins are a treat. If you like flavorful heat ask for the spicy BBQ sauce! The basket of fries is plenty for a few adults to share. The fried pies were amazing. They weren't overly sugary.

We landed in Dubois at lunchtime and went from one end of town to the other twice looking for some place to grab lunch, knowing there would be nothing for over an hour until reaching Lander. Finally popped into the local bar and asked where to find food. The bartender suggested 2Z's. It's tucked behind the buildings on the main drag, next to the Ace Hardware store. We pulled in and twasn't open for business yet, but the aroma emanating from the smoker next to the front door compelled us to wait! Great ribs and pulled pork, bottomless fountain soft drinks served inside or outside on picnic tables under trees next to a lovely stream. But the stars for me were the home made corn muffins with local honey and scrumptious fried cherry or apple pies, served with two scoops of ice cream!

This place really hit the spot after a long day of being outside with the family. We sat in the outdoor area which is nestled next to the Horse creek. It was beautiful and provied a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy our food. The Elk sausage was amazing and the pickles to die for, not to mention the corn bread muffins and honey butter that left us wanting a dozen more. This was an absolute treat on our visit to Dubois and highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty meal.

Nice little place next to Ace Hardware. Follow the yummy smells! Good sammies & muffins. Wonderful pickles. Liked the baked beans. Came home stuffed - but had to get a fried apple pie & ice cream for later. Friendly people made our meal special.
