My cat was so anxious. As soon as the vet held she calmed right down. He taught me how to clip her claws. She didn't even notice getting her shots. He was just so kind to both of us. Took his time. Highly recommend. Drove from Casper to Douglas based on friend's recommendation. Glad I did!

Thank you so much to Dr. Smylie for being such a good and caring vet. We had to put our babygirl down this morning and it was the hardest thing to do as a pet owner. Dr. Smylie and everyone that works there is so caring and actually want to help your animals and not do it for the money. When we got the news this morning that she had cancer, Dr. Smylie remained in the room and just made us feel like someone cared. He was able to determine the cause of the issue which was going to be inevitable at some point. Thank you guys for truly caring and actually giving us pet owners a chance to help our animals by being affordable for us.

This is a vet that is in business for the animal and not the money. My dog Baby literally tore her toe nail to where she couldn't even walk on that paw ( poor little girl, my heart shattered ). I called up Advance Animal Care and Dr. Smylie's wife was working and got us right in as soon as we arrived. She examined Baby's toe nail and said, " No worries, I will take her in the back, and we'll be right back." Not only was she gentle with Baby ( while being pregnant, no the less " ), but she was able to cut her nail off, trim her other toe nails, but also prescribed Baby pain pills, oh, and gave her the booster shot that she ( Baby ) was due for, but the bill was way less then I had anticipated. Roughly $55.00. Every time I have went to Dr Smylie, their entire staff ( from the gals at the counter to the doctors themselves ) are ABSOLUTELY wonderful and amazing. I am going to have a very hard time finding another vet for Baby as good as these folks are. I will definitely & highly recommend Dr. Smylie to anyone.Thanks, Advance Animal Care, for caring about our fur babies the way you all do.

A Great Big Thank You to this facility! You saved my precious fur baby!! We’re from Texas but had to come to Casper due to a death in the family. My dog had an open palmetra (?) my vet had put her on meds for infection but wouldn’t spay her because it was Friday & he was about to close & they’re not open on the weekends. Fast forward one week & my poor baby was going downhill fast! Called the emergency vet & literally no one would see her on the July 4th holiday but Advanced Animal Care. Dr Smylie met me at the office, clearly flustered by her condition. He got her on meds and scheduled her surgery for the very next morning. I’m proud to say that one day after her surgery, my girl is back to her old self. Thank you so much for caring enough to come in on a holiday to check on my baby. I wish my vet in Texas was as thorough as you are. Be blessed!

We brought our German Shepherd down for her yearly check up and she gets some of her favorite treats. All the girls that we ever deal with are super nice and friendly and you don’t have to wait long from the time you walk through the door to the time you are leaving. Our German Shepherd likes all the girls, but for some reason she does not like the vet at all, which I don’t understand because he’s a nice friendly gentleman as well. He did great work when he’s spayed and chipped our girl a little over a year ago. Overall, it’s well worth the hundred mile round-trip to bring our German Shepherd down for her yearly things.

Had an emergency and the doctor called back right away. He was extremely thorough, went through everything we were dealing with our 6 month old puppy who was very painful and worked out a plan with us. We love Dr. Smylie and all his staff! We've been using them for all of our animals for 18+ years. We travel an hour one way to take our babies to them. Okay, so I've never yet taken any "babies" to AAC, but we DO have cats. Without going into insufferable detail, I will tell you that Dr. Smylie managed, with his surgical team, to save Valeria's leg and therefore her life. He responded personally to an emergency call the previous night and was ready for her in the morning. Once inside the clinic, Dean said (after X-rays and an examination) that, "you brought me a challenge" (because of the nature of the break), yet he rose to that challenge with alacrity, wisdom, and consummate skill. The cost was nominal. This was only one remarkable episode in our (now 5-year) history with this accomplished vet. I'm a little envious of a man that so many people admire for his goodness and innumerable contributions to his own community (it will be a sad day when he retires), yet Dr. Smylie and his capable staff deserve every ounce of respect they have gleaned from their local township and beyond (no one gets a 4.9 rating on Google by accident). Such sacrifice and dedication to duty (and to one's craft), not to mention grace towards the animals and beloved pets who are the direct recipients of their kindness, are rare qualities which we hope will not entirely disappear from the world. Absolutely the best vet in the region. EXTREMELY affordable, and knowledgeable. They got my dog in for a teeth cleaning within 1 week, and charged me 1/10th of what I was quoted. I highly recommend them for any of your vet needs. Give them a call. They were fast and responsive. Very friendly staff. My dog was in safe hands the whole time.

Took my oldest dog in because she has been incessantly licking a spot on her leg. He told me it's not worrisome and gave me some stuff to put on it to stop her from licking. He listened and was compassionate. We will be returning!
