Good view point from the back porch however this place is only open seasonally. It was closed when I went at the beginning of November. You can still go onto the back porch to take photos though.

Stopped here on our way out of devil's tower. They had a great store with quality souvenirs and food.The staff was very friendly. The ice cream was great.If you're looking for a keepsake item, tshirt or something to mark your devil's tower trip I'd highly recommend this spot.And if you like fudge, OMG. It is amazing. 😍😍

The store is pretty expensive, but considering that it is in a tourist location, it is expected. There is plenty of good stuff sold, and the employees are pretty nice.

Excellent place to find souvenirs, gifts, foods, drinks and beverages. Parking lot has a good amount of space. Just be aware that if the lot is full, the place will be shoulder to shoulder. It is a bit tight inside if there is over 10+ cars in the lot. The view is amazing from the location as well. The bathrooms are good if you need to use it. Not the cleanest but still good to use. The employees are nice. The store has many gifts to choose from. Overall, a nice place to buy Devil's Tower gifts.

If you want to save the time or the cost of entering the park, this is a nice close place to stop for photos. The trading post is large and contains a good selection of drinks, snacks, clothing, souvenirs, and gifts. Parking is very ample.

It's a cool store. They have a gift shop, small counter service ice cream and sandwich place and snacks. They also have some cool taxidermy including a huge rattlesnake probably 6' long. I shall name him "Tiny"

Devils Tower is a magical place.1) Check the weather for optimum fun.2) Bring some good warn in hiking shoes, a large insulated cold water backpack and an easy carry snack.3) Don't forget a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen up to 45spf.4) Take the outer loop, a map, and a small compass.5) Last but not least.Take a camera to remember and share your own Beautiful story at the Tower and take out all that you carry in.Have fun and be safe.

Super amazing monument. Get there early or else you're waiting in line to park. We got there about 11am, and had to wait about 45mins. Once you park, there are a few amazing hikes, beautiful views, and interesting history.

The famous area of the movie shooting encounters of the 3rd kind. Great little pit stop to grab a snack and a alien souvenir! You will sure be checking this out if your headed to Devils Tower.

If you love playing with you mashed potatoes because you watched E.T. a million times and then go see the real Devils Tower- it’s just so amazing. No picture no mound of potatoes can equal;) make a road trip and go!!!

A must see. We did not go into the park but we could see the tower from the gift shop. We did go to the gift shop. They have some food and drinks. Lots of gifts. There is plenty of motels and such in the area.

We decided to make a small side trip to Devil's Tower from Deadwood. Instead of waiting for parking closer up we stopped here. What a great choice! Perfect views and photos ops out back. A wonderful selection of unique gifts and souvenirs. We grabbed some delicious ice cream and ate as we relaxed on the front porch. Later that evening we realized our son had misplaced his wallet. I called the next day and spoke with Tom, the general manager. He said he had it and I asked if he would just mail the money, using some to pay for the stamp. He said he would cover it, no problem. Well we got home to Iowa today and found his wallet and money in the mail!! He went above and beyond and we are SO thankful! Will definitely try and go back someday!

Really enjoyed our trip here. The gift shop is really nice. I have to say that the lady who rang us up was fantastic. I went to the post office also and the lady there was really sweet, I liked the post mark they had there so she stamped my post cards with the Devil's Tower mark!!

Very cool shop with plenty of souvenirs of Devils Tower and other local monuments. There is ice cream and a small counter that sells sandwiches.

Easy parking. Had the penny press machine and cashier there let me trade up a penny so I could get the best results. Deck is a great place to see the monument.

We came all the way from Calgary Alberta Canada to see Devils Tower. We stopped at the Trading Post for some gifts for the grandkids. Great souvenirs and ice cream!!

Giant gift shop, right at the edge of the National Monument. The store sells items representing places from throughout the Black Hills region -- in case you forgot to buy souvenirs at other stops, you'll find them here. There's also quite a bit of tacky alien merchandise here. Close Encounters of the Third Kind is not forgotten!

I love this shopping area, and it brings that old school vibe to the current Era. I brought my kids this year and they were excited and in awe of the place and we will be back during our next visit to South Dakota

Loved it. Hiked around base of monument for 1.3 miles, all paved. Fascinating watching climbers on the Tower.
