Great place to camp if you want to be close to the Devils Tower. We drove in when it was dark and reserved a front spot. The view we had the next morning was stunning! The bathrooms were super clean and the dining area had some delicious choices for breakfast.Nearby activities: You are right at the base of the Devils Tower

Even in the off-season, this place was great! They offered mini golf in place of the pool. We had a stunning view of Devils Tower. We checked in late as we drove from the Omaha Airport with 4 generations of us on the beginning of a road trip, this being the furthest point west. We endured nothing but the best hospitality. The restaurant on site accommodated us at the last minute. The food was great! The bathrooms and the showers were clean.I sincerely appreciate you and your beautiful location!

This place was an incredible experience. My wife and I had the privilege to work here for the summer. The owners are great people who treat all as if they were family. Amazing place for family’s, couples or solo. The park stayed clean and well staffed at all times. This is a great place to enjoy nature, have fun, get what you need, as well as eat good food. The national park is literally next door so you can hangout as close to the tower as possible. I will definitely return!

Such an amazing location, literally at the foot of Devil's tower & with such a cool history! Lots of amenities & extras. Sites were nice. The view is amazing with Devils Tower on one side & a large red rock ridge on the back side. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Lots of room to walk the dogs. We were here only 1 night so only went up to DT & then enjoyed supper at the onsite restaurant. Would love to return. It was much more than we expected!

The Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA was our second time staying at a KOA campground. We reserved a premium, full-hookup site online, which ended up not being what we anticipated upon our arrival to the campground. Staff members were very helpful in changing our site from #59 to #6. The row of back-in sites, including campsite #6, had great views of Devils Tower. We watched climbers on the Tower while enjoying our morning coffee. #6 had water & electric. Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA was so close to the national monument that we easily rode our bicycles to the visitor center (uphill all the way and then a fast downhill ride back to the campground). We also drove to Deadwood for an afternoon. Watching the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the outdoor screen was nostalgic.

We paid for an upgraded view camp sight and we were floored by how truly amazing the view was. There is nothing between your campsite and Devil’s Tower. A complete and unobstructed view. If you can ever get those sites, they are absolutely worth it. Don’t hesitate. They played Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the outdoor screen with the tower in the background. There is also a pool, playgrounds, and mini golf course. I’m going back beyond all doubt. This place was the best!Safety: It felt comfortable and secure. Everyone visiting was friendly and respectful.Food & drinks: Well stocked canteen with restaurants across the street.Noteworthy details: The view camp sights are totally worth it. They said there was a good view, but did not make it clear that it was this good! Splurge! It’s so worth it!

This is our second stay here and it's fantastic. The views of Devil's Tower are incredible, my wife, daughter and I have never had so much fun in a camp store with Autumn, she was fun and super helpful. We had a bit of a robust issue with our camper door and Jeremiah spent no less than 3 hours helping me fix it. Absolute saint and super helpful, we really appreciate him , his knowledge, and his willingness to come help us in the middle of his supper. Cannot rave about these two enough. Thank you so much! We look forward to visiting again soon!

We did the open area tent camping and it was beautiful! We had an amazing view of Devil's Tower with a fire pit, picnic table, and a tree for shade. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Staff works hard to maintain the grounds and facilities. The place has a real family feel. We hope to return one day and try out the new pool.

5 star location for the views. Zero star quality and service. We booked the most expensive sites because we wanted the advertised space and views. Over $230 for 2 nights. We were placed at site V1. I was confused why our site was covered in long dandelions and not mowed like other areas. We found out that it was likely because the ground was too wet to mow. Our second day brought an afternoon storm and we were sitting in a complete puddle. Workers drove by on golf carts and didn’t bat an eye. All of this would have been somewhat acceptable had the place been full, but we were right beside 4 empty spots, 3 of which remained dry.The store did not have white milk so my husband asked the restaurant to purchase some. A worker started to get him some but then said, “wait, let me ask.” She came back and said she couldn’t.Just overall terrible customer service and incredibly overpriced. Judging by their responses to other customer reviews they couldn’t care less about their customers experiences and prefer to price gouge.

Wowza! This KOA was amazing. They posted flashing announcements everywhere that the pool was out of commission and would be replaced with unlimited mini golf. It was great to have the heads up.There are so many great things. The showers were single use - none of that community toilets and showers combined. The grounds were gorgeous and clean with trees throughout. The playground entertained the kids (10 and 12) with swings and a variety of activities. The mini golf was an awesome, fun addition with an all in Cowboys and Aliens theme. It was actually a legit mini golf course - I was impressed. Each night they play a free movie. We had a direct view of Devil’s Tower the entire time - however - the National Park entrance is like 30 yards away from the KOA. The tent camping sites are tucked away against the red rocks and a meadow. There is a little cafe and two HUGE trading post stores with everything you might need including ice cream and fudge.10/10 would return - more expensive but worth it.If you are heading east, I would north through Huelett. The road was empty and the drive was gorgeous. It was a fun, hyper western themed town.

The views were incredible!! Great stay at another KOA! Location was great and the staff were nice. Big campground with lots to do for the kids. Little access to the river through the Teepees and they were beautiful (no swimming). Free golfing and movie nightly. The hayride has a cost, store was stocked with goodies. Drive over to Hulett for groceries. Nice town.

My first stay at a KOA. As a tent camper, I usually wouldn’t consider KOA since it’s on the expensive side compared to most tent camping options, and I usually prefer camping away from crowds. However, I’m currently on a two-week car camping road trip and finding it’s worth the extra $$ to book KOA for the creature comfort amenities.First, I got to pick my site, which I’m not used to at other campgrounds. Found a large lovely corner site with an unobstructed view of Devils Tower. Also, great little store up front. Was fun to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind here, a nice little perk. Bathrooms are clean and the private locking showers are AWESOME. Laundry facilities on-site too if needed. Can’t beat the location if you’re visiting Devils Tower. Would definitely stay here again and will keep KOA in the rotation for my future road trips!

Quiet night right outside the park, nice laundry and shower rooms, mini golf was sweet. Big gift shop with lots of itemsIce cream shop inside gift store. Cafe serves good food and is convenient for the national park. Big spaces for camper. Staff super friendly. I booked 2 nights exspecting to come in very early in the morning to spend the day in the park, but due to traffic didn't get in till late in the day. The staff didn't charge for the day we missed, I didn't ask them to do it, they just did it.Nearby activities: Right next to National ParkFood & drinks: Nice cafe

Devil's Tower is a beautiful national monument in Wyoming. I encourage everyone to see. At the base of the hills is a rough looking campground named the KOA Campground. It appears they have put more effort and money into their overpriced gift shop full of souvenirs than their camp sites. If you are looking for a place with 10 projects, all of them being unfinished and in different states of mess, then this is the place for you. The two days we stayed, absolutely nothing was being worked on.No grass to speak of. Mainly dandelions.I visited a bathroom. Floors were covered in dirt and grass. Not to mention wet toilet paper.Pool out of service. Mini golf in lieu the pool but can only use during certain hours and the mini golf park is in really rough shape. Worried about kiddos getting hurt. See pictures of random cow wrapped in moving packaging.Mowing and trimming seem to be optional here as well.Camp sites were extremely overpriced. But that's a KOA thing. Avoid at all costs unless you just need a place to park for the night then it's ok. View is stunning could do so much better. Bummed.

Fantastic to camp almost in the shadow of Devils Tower. The meal at the restaurant was very good and the service was great. The store staff was very friendly, the fudge was yummy. On the not so good side was the fact that the whole week we were there nothing was done as far as working on the pool to get it up and running. The dog park was out of commission. The 5 mph speed limit was a joke. Many times cars/trucks would go by our site at 17 to 20 mph. The employees out and about couldn't bother to wave or even make eye contact. Not at all the friendly welcoming staff we are accustomed to in other KOA's we've stayed at. Even the escot in was not welcoming at all. You cannot beat the location or the view of the Tower from the campground.

This site is perfect if you want to see the tower. Full hookups, amazing showers, laundry facilities, a restaurant, shops, mini golf, and a movie every night. (Close Encounters was filmed there and they show it - rain or shine- every night). The pool was closed for remodeling, which was a big bummer. But we made the most of it. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Wish we would have stayed longer.

I can't say enough great things about this KOA!#1 beautiful sites, we had a gorgeous lawn, a tree, gorgeous views.#2 clean and beautifully maintained with gardens all over the place, really lovely.#3 the best part was the service, we couldn't get electricity hooked to our RV, Pat was an angel and not only helped us trouble shoot but helped us identify what we needed and where to go; thank you Pat, you made our day!We absolutely love this campground!Walkability: Devil's Tower, a store, post office, restaurant all in walking distanceFood & drinks: Nice restaurantNoteworthy details: Devil's Tower is right there!

Great spot. However out of 7 showers only three were unlocked and one of the three the water wouldn't come on. In the toilets there's no paper towels or anything to dry your hands. The children's playground was full of bugs that would crawl all over us, could use pest control, it was unbearable. Overall it was a good spot and we plan on visiting again.

We only spent 1 night. The staff was very helpful. The campground was very clean with campsites wide enough that you don't feel like you are sitting on top of your neighbor. With the campground right at the entrance to Devils Tower National Monument, there is an excellent view of the tower. The showers were spacious and clean. If we are in the neighborhood again, we will stay. They also show "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" every night. Nice touch.

Nice campground with a great view of Devils Tower Monument. We ate at the restaurant and both enjoyed our hamburger and chicken sandwiches. 10% discount when you show your koa receipt. I see some work being done around the cg that show they continue to maintain it's quality. Very quiet at night.

The location is unbelievable It is just a few steps from the entrance of the devil's Tower national monument. You can see the tower from some of the campsites. "Close encounters of the third kind"is the movie that plays every night. We enjoyed seeing it, I hadn't seen it in decades and seeing it on the screen with the actual devil's Tower visible behind it is enchanting. However if I was staying longer than one night I don't think I would have enjoyed hearing it night after night It's pretty loud. There is an okay cafe and gift shop and a bigger gift shop across the street. Miniature golf. And the bathrooms/showers are ok. Most spots are back in not drive through especially the primo ones with the view of devil's Tower. Plenty of trees for shade and nice picnic tables. Pricey but the location is worth it because devil's Tower Access is very difficult between 10:00 and 3 you have to park it the visitor center to access the trails unless you want to walk an extra 3 mi... And you can wait on the road to park for over an hour during peak times so if you're staying at the campground go early or late avoid between 10:00 and 3:00 trying to go to the tower and any of the hikes

Amazing location at the base of Bear Lodge! We stayed in one of the Tipis and had a great time. It rained really hard for about an hour and some water did come in under the fabric but we used our beach towels to sop it up and continued on with our stay. Also the pool was being renovated so anyone staying was able to play mini golf for free which we took advantage of. We will for sure stay again in the future!
