Beaver Trap Outfitters and Owner/Guide Ross Adney are a first-class operation. I went on an elk hunt in October of 2023, and we hunted hard for 5 days, and all the while Ross kept hunting hard to help me get the bull that I was waiting for. We were rewarded with a great bull that I am very proud of, the memories that were made on that hunt will last a lifetime. Thanks again to Ross Adney and Beaver Trap Outfitters for a truly great hunt and a great bull elk!

I had the most amazing hunt and trip/adventure of a lifetime. Ross gave my dad and I memories we can never forget. From being in the mountains and just at camp. Ross is an exceptional guide, extremely hard working and is a really good guy. The country that he hunts is absolutely beautiful and he knows it very well. We worked elk every day and I killed my bull on the fourth morning of the hunt amid some of the most amazing elk rut frenzy that a hunter can experience.Everything about this hunt was excellent, I look forward to another hunt with Beaver Trap Outfitters, I would highly recommend them.

I hunted moose with Ross Adney and his crew this year and had my best outfitted experience ever!Ross is extremely knowledgeable about the game and the area! His camp and accommodations were exceptional and even though hunting was hard due to the dry and warm conditions, Ross and his guides never quit trying and in the end I got a very nice, mature bull! My good friend and I booked our elk hunts with Ross Adney and Beaver Trap Outfitters after drawing our Wyoming Elk tag for 2021. It took 8 years to gather the preferrence points to draw the unit so we decided we needed to find a gray outfitter and guide. Our hunt was great. Ross runs a great camp. Clean and well maintained. Food, tents and cots were great as well. The hunting was top notch. We were guided 2 on 1 with Ross as our guide. All the guides in camp were awesome guys and we had a blast relaxing and laughing around camp. Ross stopped at nothing to make sure we had our opportunity at filling our tag. I have hunted elk nearly every year since 2000. This was most certainly one of the most memorable hunts I’ve ever been on. We got two great bulls and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to hunt with Ross again.

I had sent a email to beaver trap Outfiters in early fall I have done this with other Outfiters over the course of 20 years Ross was the frist to email back with the chance of a on call list. He called and said he had a opening his accommodation where excellent clean shower and bathroom good food and clean bedding. Ross did everything he could to get me a lion and he did I tried for 30 years and he made it happen. I have bin on different types on hunts with Outfiters and Ross is in the top 3 that I have bin with and he is very personable and has good hounds. He also won't just tell u what u want to hear he will truly give it his best to get what u are hunting for

The bear hunt with my son was an exceptional experience from the start to finish. The camp, food and friendliness reminded me of good old fashioned Wyoming hospitality. Every morning, lunch and night the food was delicious with great variety and never went away hungry. Such a relaxing and decompressing experience to sit around after a day of hunting on a beautiful mountaintop to be taken care of to the extent we were. Highly recommended. Spent two days with Ross, who took my dad and I out on an antelope hunt and a prairie dog hunt. Within the first few hours of the antelope hunt Ross was able to put me on a mature buck. Within a short time, Ross had him processed and caped and back out to look for another one. Ross’s experience and knowledge of the area put us in an area where my dad was then able to harvest his even though most of the animals were bedded down. Ross’s advice and expertise gave us the confidence to pass on several bucks until we found the right ones. Ross and his guides took me on a lion hunt, they know the area for lions extremely well, use top notch hounds, and will work extremely hard to get you a opportunity at a lion. Ross and his guides are all fun to be around during and after the days hunt, food is excellent and so is the lodging. I’ve DIY OTC elk hunted for 12 years and always said I’d make the most out of any premium once in a lifetime type tag, if I were lucky enough to draw one. So when I drew my area 38-9 tag on a random it was time to start making phone calls. Ultimately I went with BeaverTrap because it was public land and the options to hunt more ground and more days were seemingly endless, not to mention I couldn’t find a bad review no matter where I turned. I was told do my part as the hunter and they’d do all they could to put me on some bulls. 14 miles in on day 1 I arrowed my biggest bull to date. Can’t say enough good things about all the guides and the camp is top notch! These boys all do a great job getting hunters on bulls and it seemed everyone in camp had multiple solid opportunities on bulls. Great experience on my first guided Elk hunt. Thanks Ross!!

Did a Father and son hunt for our first antelope hunt and it was a great experience. Ross is a cool dude! A great hunter and that’s much appreciated by another avid hunter. He’s selective, and all about gettin you on whatever game your there to hunt. We had some fun just cuttin up and hangin out for a day after we tagged out. Would recommend him to others....and the meat....muy bueno!

Our pontoon rental experience was wonderful!!Michael was very friendly and accommodating and allowed us to switch our reservations at a days notice due to weather!!We loved cruising the lake and the views were breathtaking:)Michael helped us find the perfect place to go for a swim and we were able to enjoy a picnic as well.We highly recommend you book a boat with Bear Trap Outfitters.

I have hunted with Beaver Trap Outfitters twice now and have had a great experience each time. Both of the hunts were for Antelope. Our hunting group experienced a 100 percent success rate each tim. There is nothing more exciting than hunting elk in dark timber while they are screaming, glunking and crashing through the timber! Ross Adney and crew at Beaver Trap Outfitters will find them for you and bring them in close. They have a very comfortable wall tent elk camp in elk country with wood stoves and cots in each tent. All the tents are in good shape, the wood stoves operate perfectly, and the tarp flooring keeps the ground dry. You can feel comfortable knowing that wind, snow or rain will not bring down these tents - they are done right. Plus, being located in the heart of elk country, it is not uncommon to hear them bugling all night. These guys know what they are doing.
