I can’t speak to staying at Trail Shop Inn, but I can certainly say, if you’re in the area, the restaurant is outstanding. And our waitress was the best. I wish I could remember her name. She had worked in New Orleans and understood our desire to have sweet tea, and knows dumping granulated sugar in a cold glass of tea is not the way we do it!!

Stayed here for one night on our way to Yellowstone. It was a great room and you could tell they recently tried to do some updates to make it nicer. The restaurant is only open for Dinner, but they did give us a basket in the room fridge with a drink, muffin, fruit and granola bar so we had something for breakfast. Room had DirecTV service which was nice and a mini fridge with Microwave. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone driving to Yellowstone. Will stay here again on next trip up that way.

The photos online show a nice clean cabins but that was not the case in my experience. I found them to be run down, out of date and extremely dirty. There were stains on the bed sheets, carpets and towels with dead bugs in the cabin. What really made the experience bad was that they gave the cabin that I had reserved to someone else and got a lessor one without ac and without the king bed I requested.Beware before booking and would recommend staying elsewhere.

We stayed here for three days while visiting Yellowstone. The cabin room was very cozy, and the view was very scenic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue was we had a hungry mouse in our room.

We stayed here in a our trip through Yellowstone. The Restaurant was amazing. I ordered 2 very nice bottle and they did not have them. So they went across the highway to get some good bottles and it was well worth it. Great people. It was our favorite restaurant on a 2 week trip.

May 2018, We were camping a couple of miles away and went just to Restaurant. It was immaculate with neat decor and a nice view. The staff were so friendly and provided excellent service. We had the Fish n Chips and we both agree, aside from Ireland this was the best Fish and Chips we've ever had. It's a bit pricier than what we were looking for, but the atmosphere, service and food were well worth it.

Best money we spent. Rustic, but comfortable and clean. There is no food or drinks.Cody has a rodeo at 8pm, but it is a half hr drive.Ignore the signs going west on the highway that say "No Thru Trafgic to Yellowstone." The east gate to Yellowstone is wide open.

Very cozy and had a great restaurant. The cabins are clean yet rustic, but be prepared to kill a few spiders and catch a mouse or two. Keep your food safe and you'll be fine. The mice are timid and the spiders are small and harmless.

On the side of the road but surrounded by mountains. A river just across the road. We stayed in room 4.2 big beds and a sofa. The place is older but the carpet looks new. Not sticky like alot of old motels. Sheets and towels are clean, no stains. Charming little restaurant on site with burgers steaks and chicken strips. Breakfast is placed in the fridge of your room. Instant oatmeal, fruit, granola bar, muffins, and juice. The internet is sooooo slow. But if you are trying to keep your kids off of their phones, its fine. Apparently verizon is the major service provider. Not much luck with ATT unless you drive toward Cody. Also, if you plan to make the rodeo in Cody, buy tickets early. They sell out and will not let you in even after people leave halfway through the rodeo. I read a review that says no AC. Our room had a very cold AC. The water was hot hot hot for showers. Just the hot/cold handle is on backward. Its about a 30 min drive from the east entrance of Yellowstone with No cell service in between. So if you are going to be late its hard to call. Keep your eyes open for animals on the roads. No laundry. But we drove into a super crowded RV park down the road and did laundry. So many people there, no one knew we werent staying there. LOL.

My daughter and I stopped for dinner in the restaurant. Despite having several food allergies, I had no problem finding things I could eat. I had a filet mignon that was absolutely glorious. My daughter's cheese burger was huge, and so delicious that she was still raving about it when she microwaved left overs, 2 days later. Loved the decor and the staff!!

We stayed down the street, but the Trail Shop in was on the list of places to eat. So glad we chose to eat here! Had dinner 2 nights, the burgers were the best we ever had!! 2nd night had a huge and delicious chicken fried chicken and my daughter had the fettuccini, she loved it. You can tell everything is homemade, we ate on the patio, with beautiful weather and views. Would definitely recommend their restaurant!

location is superb, magnificent view from the room, decent room and amenities, directTV, lovely shared front porch, super clean and updated bathroom. the downs: Wifi is unusable since it's super slow, the size is rather small both for the room and bath, no tubs, lots of insects outside (no insect screen in the door), no attendance at night after the restaurant is closed. overall, love my stay.

Ate here twice during our stay in Cody. 1st, last th, was a perfectly cooked rib-eye, and a terrific server and bartender (brittany & [i forget the 'soninlaw's name]) beautiful view and entertainment by local cottontails.~ now. Last night we went in to finish our stay with good food. Hostess/server was not the same person or attitude. Clearly. And it felt like we were not part of her plan. Not attentive. BTW:we were the ONLY (2) customers. But the food was still good, Thanks to the cook.We would return.

The stay was nice enough. The plumbing here is weak though. Toilets don't want to flush and the shower didnt drain well either. Overall, it was ok.

Room is fine but no wifi service is extremely inconvenient. Extremely quiet and dark too and you need to check in before 10 pm or so.

Quaint and unassuming. The best place to go for dinner in wapiti valley. Call in and take out or dine in. Highly recommended!
