The staff was nice and did their best. Our unit was clean. There were so many shortcomings that all we could do was laugh. The wifi was only available at the office or just outside and because of a narrow band with it was only available late at night. It was so slow it brought memories of dial up. They advertise a grocery store but while we were there it was never open. The windows would not open and we had no A/C. I heard others talking and some units had A/C. No coffee pot in the room. We knew there would be no microwave or refrigerator. The toilet was jammed up against the sink so it was a very tight fit. No shelves in the bathroom either. Our room was dark and the lighting was dim making it difficult to read. You could see that they had done work on the place but they either cut corners or did not understand what is helpful for people. The restaurant was mixed. Breakfast was cooked in much grease but other than that was fine. Most the issues were owner or management issues not staff issues.

This was one of the most charming experiences of my history in traveling. Everything was spectacular, even when we booked last min on a holiday weekend. The ambiance of the property, the genuinely friendly staff, the 'rustic' cabins, the history of the area, and even the soft comfy sheets are worth raving about...I have not a single complaint about this resort. Rustic yet accommodating, charming, and secluded. Absolutely the best lodging experience in Wyoming!Rooms: Rustic cabins without TVs, coffee.maker, clock and updated/upgraded bathroomsNearby activities: YellowstoneSafety: Doing your part in using safety helps immensely!!

Haven't stayed here but based on the service in the Restaurant I wouldn't hesitate. We didn't arrive until 9-930 at night on our way out of Yellowstone, were greeted and seated by the friendliest and most welcoming staff I've ever had. Didn't hesitate to feed us and stay late to give us directions and help us keep on the move.Nearby activities: Entire region is wonderfulFood & drinks: Fantastic food.

We stayed in cabin 25 and ate at the restaurant. Restaurant had delicious food.Nice off the grid cabin, clean and pretty views. No TV/microwave/fridge/wifi/coffee maker. House keeping was by request. However we were kept up all night by mice in the room, including them running on our bed.

This place is conveniently right outside the east entrance of Yellowstone which is long, you almost feel as though you'll never exit the park. First the cons, the room does not supply air condition (although when we went, the nights are a cool high 30's - low 40's), there is no service out there, phone or anything else. The restaurant has wifi but it is weak at best. So be ready to be fully disconnected when staying. The rooms are a reasonable size but not large but not small. They are clean but have no fridge, microwave, stove, or television (again no service). They had a landline in your room but it didn't seem to work when we tried it. Also note that bears are common in the area although they say they hardly see one, so ALL food, scented items, etc must be removed from your vehicle and taken to your room. Some cabins are upstairs and downstairs so it's possible you'll hear your neighbors. Now the pros, the bathrooms were clean, and a nice touch to the cabins. Linen a little outdated but not to the point you worried. Now besides there restaurant, there is no where else to eat, the nearest town, Cody is a good hour drive from there. They do have a small grocery store, but I didn't go in to see what they had but again, no where to cook. It is the first lodge you come up to exiting the east entrance of Yellowstone, so nearby. The restaurant stays open to 9:30 I believe. The food is good, homemade cooking. I had the steak with potatoes and asparagus, my husband had the meatloaf and kids had the cheeseburger. Everything looked and tasted homemade. For breakfast we had the eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast, my husband had the skillet. So a hot meal is available if you pay. The staff from the moment you check in, order, etc are extremely nice. Oh and they have an onsite bar but the hours vary depending on the bar tender, for instance she had something to do in the morning so closed at 10 but I am told it's usually open until 11.

Worst stay I’ve ever had, very creepy vibes. Management was extremely rude. It’s over a hour away from Cody Wyoming. No wifi, no tv, no coffee maker, no fridge. No service from AT&Tk or Verizon. The “grocery store” was very empty had a couple sodas and some cereal that’s about it. Our cabin was riddled with mice. Refused a refund when asked and proceeded to yell at us for asking. Then followed us into the restaurant and then again when we went outside. So we left a day early gonna look into a refund through our credit card company.

Once we pulled up we knew chose the right place, cute cabins were nestled into the mountain of the resort. There was a restaurant, bar, shop, little store (for snacks) and even horseback riding available to us. Burgers were very good. Ice is free, 1 bag per day. Staff was really nice and even upgraded our room. IF YOU ARE NOT THERE TO CHECK IN BEFORE 22:30 YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR ROOM. (Saw this happen many times sadly, people arriving late and having to find somewhere else.) Biggest problem is lack of wifi, the cabins don't have wifi at all but the restaurant and bar have it. Cabin was cosy and simple, got a little stuffy during the night and there was a mouse jumping into the garbages in the room at night. Other than that had a really nice time, would definitely go back. About 30 minutes away from Yellowstone Parks and lots of hikes available on the way down (Avalanche Peak hike.)Nearby activities: Horseback riding (offered at Pahaska), Hiking is everywhere,

Can't tell you about the rooms but the service in the restaurant and bar was horrible. Was ignored for over 10 minutes from the waitstaff sitting in the bar area. Wasn't that busy either during the time. Was not handed a menu or asked what I wanted to drink. So after sitting in a table for that long I'm usually a patient person but during this time I said not worth it and left. Also the other issue is the wifi. You seriously are gonna have it for hotel guests only? Some people wanna just eat and use it you could say it's for customers only, certain people don't have service in the area this place is at so wifi is a good way to communicate and let someone like idk family. They said it's for guests only I believe being a customer at the restaurant or bar should qualify as that. I know that's a lil nitpicking but in this day and age it's needed. Don't think I'll stop here again

I was in a group of five who stayed on the second floor of a 3 unit cabin in late October. There was a wonderful mountain atmosphere. Overall I would describe the place as adequate. However, it failed in the most important aspect of a hotel - that is to provide a good nights rest. While the late fall nights were refreshing crisp, the cabin interior was too warm for comfortable sleeping, even with the two windows open. Sadly the small window air conditioner was too noisy to use at night. There was a thermostat that did nothing so the heat was on all night, making sleeping even with just a sheet covering too warm. Other trivial features that could easily be implemented that would have made our stay better would be 3 way bedside lamps. The lamps provided were too dim for old folks to read by. In contrast the bathroom fixture was so bright I'm sure it was visible from outer space. And annoyingly, there was nowhere to hang a coat, or hat, or wet towel; easily fixed with some wall hooks.

I was nervous about our stay because I read some reviews that the rooms were not clean upon arrival. While our room decor and finishes were dated, it was clean (and we needed a dog friendly place for 2 nights). Checkin was easy and the restaurant onsite was pretty good! There are not a lot of amenities on site but it was exactly what we needed - midway between Yellowstone and Cody for activities in each, and the key draw for us was the dog friendly room options.

This is a restaurant review: we stopped for dinner on the way out of Yellowstone. We enjoyed the food and it was worth the stop. I tried the elk medallions and enjoyed the flavor and doneness of the largest one, but the two smaller pieces were overcooked and tough. The tortilla soup had nice flavor. It could have tasted fresher with some avocado and/or cilantro.

The rooms in the A Frame cabins are tiny & very drab. It was advertised as a queen with daily cleaning. Not so...the bed was a double at most & extremely uncomfortable. Pillows were awful. Towels, sheets & shower curtains were old & ripped. Thankfully we had garbage bags to empty our trash daily. Unfortunately we were there for 6 nights & don't think we had 1 good nights sleep. On the positive....the area is beautiful, close yo Yellowstone East Entrance, they are quick to supply clean towels, ice on a daily basis & the restaurant & staff our excellent. For $200+ a night I feel they can afford to update some.

Location to Yellowstone is really what you are paying for with this place. We stayed in Cabin 1 which is right next to the bar patio and right in front of the parking lot. Initially, I asked to be moved to another cabin, but apparently, Cabin #1 was one of the only cabins that did not have a neighboring cabin unit. So we stayed in that one. You don't really get a good sense of privacy. At night sitting on the porch, people would drive up to pick up orders from the bar/restaurant and leave their lights on. So we constantly had lights in our face, which was insanely annoying. As for the cabin itself, it was fine. Not having a fridge was a bit of a bummer as we had to just use our cooler with ice inside. The restaurant was good, but you'll spend some money for sure.No working fire pits or grills at this place. If you have to spend time there during the day in the summer, your cabin will be hot. Really it's only ideal for those that are spending the full day at the park and only using it for sleeping accommodations. They do offer horseback riding which we didn't have time for and they do have a convenience store on site which is nice. So while I can't give this place a 4 or 5, it's not a 1 or 2 either. A few evergreen trees to block the parking lot would be nice, fridges in the cabins, and at least a fan in each room would make this place much better.

Our cabin was infested with mice. We found a dead mouse on the floor at check in and by the next day there were mouse droppings on the phone, and in the bed sheets! The carpet was extremely old and the windows lacked screens. There is no reliable cell signal or Wifi at all so you will be off the grid completely. The positives are that the restaurant food is good and the close proximity to the east entrance to Yellowstone.

The cabins were everything we needed on our trip to Yellowstone. We stayed in the queen standard and the bathroom even came with toiletries, which we were not expecting. It did get a little warm during the late evenings when we returned from our trip but it quickly cooled down with keeping our window open when the sun went behind the mountain. The wait staff was so kind and we had an excellent dinner every night in the Tavern. I recommend them for dinner if you can!!

We enjoyed our stay, the only negative was we had a window unit in our cabin and couldn’t open the window. The window would’ve been cooler than the unit so it was pretty warm in our cabin at night. The restaurant was amazing! We ate 3 different meals there and also dessert there one night! Everything they made was amazing! Our server Ryan was awesome! Such a good waiter, friendly, and on top of it all! We really loved the restaurant! Definitely worth stopping, even if just for a meal!

Everything I wanted in my Yellowstone trip 💛 Unplug from the fast paced life and enjoy time without technology (you can always head to the main lodge if you need to check your phone)The staff and food were a major highlight to this stay. This place has something purely magical about it.The rooms are simple, rustic and comfortable.Highly recommend this stay🤗

Excellent food! Don’t stay In-park as it’s over-priced & the hotels in the park only have microwaveable food ONLY, no internet, all college kids working there who do not know area - unlike Pahaska who live there year round. We rode horses for 2 hours. They are well-trained & a beginner could manage the ride up the mountain with the help of the guide. There’s a nice gift shop too with jewelry made by local Indians. Rooms are all logs & quiet! Grounds are well-kept. Staff are nice & know the area to give great advice.

Wonderful staff and location!! The entire property has normal hours for those traveling early or late! The restaurant and bar have amazing service and an awesome menu, try the Buffalo Bill Mule from the bar!The honeymoon cabin was excellent, with a big jetted tub the was perfect after a long day at Yellowstone! Our second night was in a smaller cabin and although it was cozy it was perfect! We ever got to see grizzly bears from a safe distance while standing in the parking lot, there are close though and be near aware! Would highly recommend Pahaska to anyone traveling near there! Definitely worth the stop!

The room in the A frame was extremely small. My husband and I are not large people and it felt very cramped and claustrophobic. The lighting was dim which made it feel very drab. Maybe some of the other room options are better but I did not see them so I can’t compare them to our room. On a positive note, the restaurant/bar was very nice. The bartender and staff were friendly and accommodating.

I stayed at this wonderful place in the summer of 2019. The cabins were spacious, clean, and right smack dab in the middle of the forest. We had the chance to see wildlife and to enjoy the quietness that the forest offers. We ate at the restaurant on site and spent well over an hour in the gift shop that is also on site. The staff were all warm and welcoming. Please note, there are landlines in each cabin but no WiFi which we loved! It forced us to put our phones down and enjoy each other’s company and the nature that surrounded us. We are planning another trip to Yellowstone next year and will most definitely be staying here again.

Our cabin was nice but the second night we could not get there because of a mudslide so we had to sleep in our car due to no cell service. The next day we called and they would not refund us or comp a night for us. They said they will give us 50% off another night. Trying to make more money off of us. While we were there we ate at the restaurant and first they brought the wrong order. When they brought the correct order it was burnt and they just covered it with gravy so we wouldn’t notice. Will not stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. Also they claim they have Wi-Fi but only if your at the store. Not in any of the cabins.
