Stayed for one night on our way out of Yellowstone. The tipis have everything you need for a cozy night. The fire pit was well maintained and the bathrooms we're immaculate. Highly recommend!!!

A great night of glamping. We stayed for one night in the Deer Tipi by the river. (The river is very close, but no swimming or wading because there's no beach and a swift current.) Beautiful and unique experience. It slept four comfortably and had nice little touches like provided towels and lanterns. The key is to have sensible expectations. Think of it as camping - you're in an upgraded tent, so don't whine about lack of electricity and running water at the tipi. There is an opening at the top - it's a tipi - but you're in a desert area of Wyoming, so rain is not likely to be a problem. The tipi area does get full sun most of the day.The three bathrooms up by the office (about a half-mile, and they're not kidding about the steep and windy road) were clean and nice. Didn't try the ports-potties by the river tipis.

Tipi Stay...I really was looking forward to this stay, but I was let down some. This isn't glamping and it doesn't cost as much as most true glamping spots, but it's still spendy for a tent, 140 after tax. We were greeted by a tent that looked nice, couch, chair, small table with 2 chairs, a queen bed nightstand and propane heater. As we inspected closer, there is a flap over the bed which I am guessing, keeps things from falling on you when you sleep. Well things were definitely kept from falling on us and most likely many visitors before us, hundreds of dead bugs. We didn't have anything to get rid of them so we just didn't bother them. When night came, there were 4 battery operated led lanterns which is a good idea, but only if you change the batteries often enough for them to work, out of the 4 only 1 gave out a fair amount of light, the other 3 were far more dim than that 1. Location on the river is great, wonderful noise to go to sleep to and even though it was in the mid 90s during the day, it cooled off enough to be very comfortable. I did sleep well, but for 140 dollar tent, they need to pay more attention to it. I did take some night pictures with the full moon.

Very cool camping experience! No electricity, and no running water in teepee. Basically a high-end tent! The camp does have a separate restroom and shower facility. It was soothing listening to the river as you're going to sleep. This was a very fun camping experience! Highly recommended!

We needed a spot for two nights just before the Cody stampede. They were able to make room without a reservation on short notice. Office staff was very friendly. The trailer spots were in excellent shape. Very level pressed gravel spots with plenty of room to maneuver. The tipis at the rivers edge look amazing. We stayed two nights in a RV spot in a 30 foot trailer and one night in a teepee. The allowed us to keep the trailer on site while we were in the teepee. Amazing management!!!

We are staying here and the owner Damon has gone out of his way (over and above) to accommodate us. The staff has been very friendly and have helped us with our questions. They are very knowledgeable concerning places to eat and visit. There is a really nice fenced in area for dogs to run. Very nice shower and bathroom facilities all in one room. Great view of the mountains each day. Would highly recommend this place.

One of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at. Owner has gone out of his way to be accommodating. Sites are large and well kept, prices are resonable and the people are very nice. Restrooms and laundry are clean. Awesome enclosed dog park too. Tipis were awesome, on the river. You can see the trout in the pound and there is always firewood for the fire pit. You won't be disappointed, we will be staying here again.

We had a great time in Cody and could not have asked for a nicer campground. The parking spots were good and he has a real nice doggie park. Our two dogs love being able get some running time. Damon and his staff were very helpful. Our friend who was traveling with us had his truck break down about 60 miles north of the park and Damon loaned us his trailer to go and bring his truck to the park. I highly recommend his campground and when we are back in Cody we will be staying at the Trout Ranch Campground.

Stayed at the camp very peaceful I have a 41 foot rig pulled easily. Had enough room to do what a family of 6 to camp. Had a fishing spot for boys and girls ,laundromat, full hook up, gun shop, nice and quiet. It is located close to town .make sure you go to the rodeo it was awesome. Staff was helpful and down to earth. If you are from California prolly not the camp for you .Best regardsHappy camper SO.IL.

Positives….The tipis are nice. Big. Plenty of room and comfortable for sleeping. A fun experience. Pretty views. Close to town but not too close.A few negatives… you are right on the river however you cannot get to the river. While it says no swimming which is understandable you can’t even get down to the river to put your feet in or anything. The riverbank is not cleared at all. There is zero shade on the tipis!! NONE! ! Bring an umbrella or some thing! It will be boiling hot in the summertime! Shade would be a great improvement! The bathrooms are small but they work. You can get a shower. Just know that there are zero shelves in there so you will have to put everything on the floor and most of your stuff will get soaking wet.

This was a great stop on our way to Yellowstone. It’s under new ownership as of 01 June 2021 and the folks there are great! We stayed in one of the tipis by the river and it was amazing! The bed was memory foam and super comfortable. I slept so well that I think I want a tipi in my back yard. The wind blew 20 gusting to 30 knots and we were warm and comfortable all night. Great location, convenient to town but far enough out that there is very little if any road noise (there may be some road noise at the RV/trailer sites.) All in all, a great stay!

We stayed here for 2 nites with our 28’ Class C RV and a trailer with 2 motorcycles. Because of the trailer, I’m pretty sure I requested a pull thru, when I made the reservation, so we didn’t have to back up. When we arrived, we were told we had a “back in” site and it wouldn’t be long enough for RV and trailer. We were allowed to park our trailer near the laundry, unloaded the bikes, unhooked the trailer and proceeded to our site. We arrived to find our back in site was barely long enough, and after backing in to get the nose of RV off drive, we found the entire rear of our RV was hanging out over a drop off, preventing us from accessing anything in the rear or side compartments. We pulled forward, blocking the drive and unloaded our grill, chairs and folding table. Then backed up enough to connect sewer hose. Finished backing up and connected power and water. Sites along “drop off” very close together. It is pretty much a large gravel parking lot with no shade. The water there is super hard so there was no chance I was going to try to catch up on laundry. I can say there were 2 positive aspects. The dog park was very large and nice and the RV park is very close to Cody which is a super cool town. We probably would not choose to stay here again.

Very pleasant experience. Erica was very personable and helpful. So was Abby. The park itself was not too large, VERY well kept, the absolute BEST bathhouses ANY where!!! I'd stay again just for this reason! Beautiful views. The only con was the 1st thing you see when you walk out of your rig is your neighbors sewer hose. An easy remedy with some plants. Other than that PERFECT. I'd definitely stay again.

We stayed in one of the topics by the river. Great place, very comfortable beds. Very nice shower facilities. Family loved the trout fishing. I'm giving 4 stars only because the employee didn't seem to know how to answer all of the questions about the campground amenities and we had to figure out some things on our own by asking other campers.

We loved our stay here. Very nice staff, clean bathrooms, beautiful area with nice views. Great dog park. Thick grass and big enough for my large Weimaraner that needs to run. Highly recommend.

The pull-thru spots are flat but very close and little shade. Trees are growing though which will help in the future. The trout pond is very, very small and there is no access to the river for RV campers. The laundry is closed to campers from 11am to 5pm which is very inconvenient. Dog park is very nice, though.

My wife and I stayed here on our way to Yellowstone. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The teepee and all the facilities were clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. My wife says this was her best night of sleep on our 2 week vacation. We would highly recommend staying here as a jumping off point for Yellowstone.

Just gravel spots, but there is plenty of room for slides on both sides and sites long enough for most rigs. A little close to the highway but quiets down at night. Wifi is pretty good can stream some with only a few skips. Fishing pond is pretty small. Laundry is 2 washers and 2 dryers but clean. Showers are a 3/4 bath style. Pretty compact but lockable. About an hour from Yellowstone NP entrance, and about half the price of other places. 41$ a night after good Sam discount and including taxes.

So, I love the concept. The fields next to the campground smelled amazing. The bathrooms were clean and wonderful. I wish the area between sites was a couple feet larger & grass not gravel. Fishing pond was mossy & yucky, a way to access the river and ability to see the trout raising area (while observing proper bio-security for the fish) would change my rating to a 5. The front desk gal leaves a lot to be desired for customer service. Our truck broke down & when we spoke with her about that issue & if we could stay another night or would have to tow the camper some place else, she just said that they were full (which I understand) & we'd have to move, no empathy or suggestions for mechanical or towing assistance, etc."Not my problem, check out is at 11" was her attitude. To be fair when I made our original reservation & spoke with the owner on the phone he was very pleasant. In the end, I have mixed feelings.

New owners at the Cody Trout Ranch that are FANTASTIC! Damen runs a great campground that looks right at Heart Mountain. There is a trout pond to fish, clean showers, inexpensive laundry, and the nicest staff ever! Baily will never forget your name and always has a smile. I stayed a month and wished I could have stayed more! Very level sites with breathtaking views - don't miss this site!I stayed with a 30ft Class A Winnebago towing my Honda

Great staff, located on the river. Teepees to stay in on the edge of the river for a great family adventure! Clean restrooms and a nice complimentary coffee bar. Easy to get in and out of and convenient to Cody and Yellowstone. New owners are working on improving it more. Would recommend this one . P.s. 2 trout ponds stocked for a fishing experience too.

We stayed at an RV site for 8 nights. We are full time RVers therefore have stayed at many RV parks. This park is new and has large enough sites to accommodate big rigs. The bathroom and laundry facilities are adequate. They need to add gravel to sites and roads. They are very dusty when no rain and very muddy after rain. They advertise they pick up your trash but do not. The main reason I gave only 3 stars the park offers very little compared to their premium charge. Park in town of Cody is less money and has nicer sites and amenities.

Park is ok for big rigs but has no shade or grass but has a lot of gravel. Driveway was mud when we arrived but lucky for us the dump trucks and bobcat and road compactor showed up and fixed them why we where trying to relax on vacation if I had been informed I would have picked a differentcampground. The compactor shook the RV for 2 afternoon's and shook the power cord to my RV loose. I would only recommend this campground for a overnight stay.

First class staff. Edie and I enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and the site was great. Penny at the front desk gave us some info and recommendations of things to see and do in and around Cody. Our Golden Retriever loved the huge and very grassy dog run (it even had a built in sprinkler system that made it look better than lots of front yards I have seen). Just a short drive from Cody and all the it's local attractions. Bathroom/showers were clean and laundry fit our needs. Would highly recommend this campground. You gotta try the swing! Oh yea, very little road noise!
