Excellent service station, it’s very rare to find a LGBTQ friendly station in this part of the country. The owner came out and saw my rainbow flag on my Subaru and offered to make love to me in the restroom. Naturally, I accepted and he was a firm but generous lover. 10/10 experience

Clean. Fancy gas pumps. Friendly cashier. I am a hat freak… I noticed all of the hats on the wall from the gas pumps before I even walked in. as I was paying for my beverage and my gummy bears, I asked the cashier how much the hats were and he respond “I don’t know off the top of my head”…. I don’t know if that meant they were all different prices or if he just didn’t know how much they were. If I had been given a different answer I likely would’ve bought several, Two for sure based on what I saw when I quickly glanced. Oh well, I’ll be back by in a few days, knowing me I’ll stop again, and try to find out again. Maybe I’ll do more probing on my end… I guess we cant expect everyone to be a salesman.

I came in the store the other night and a young man named Johnathan was so nice and helpful to me..he was very nice and made me feel at home even though I'm from Alabama...he really made my experience at the chug chug really great..if I ever come back that way I hope that young man is still there

I would have given no stars, but that's not an option. The store is not open 24 hrs. This driver came in about 12 a.m., there was no way to pay for parking. So when driver wakes up, he will have to pay $50, to have the boot removed. When I asked the cashier about it, he asked if it was my truck? I said no, but we are drivers and that is wrong. He said I shouldn't worry about it, since it's not my truck. Drivers beware of this stop.

Very clean nice friendly fuel station. I don't usually leave reviews but this is the first place out-of many in the road trip that I am happy spending money at. Clean well stocked, friendly. Will do business with again happily anytime I'm coming through.

We were on fumes and I gas tank and we actually ran out of gas as we were coasting into their driveway! So nice little gas station and it could actually be way more expensive than it currently is.

I grew up coming to Chugwater every summer I love it here. I have been by here twice since they reopened and it's great. Are you guys planning to sell cooked chili again?? I love all the owner responses on here I think we would get along great! Everyone I have done business with at this station has been extremely respectful and helpful. My favorite part I saw a sign on the door that had a gun on it, being from Denver (sorry i wish i wasn't) usually the gun on the door means no concealed carry so I thought I was going to have to wait in the truck, after looking closer it was encouraging me to express my rights in there store. Will definitely return. Keep up the good work

On our way home after a 6,000 mile trip, we stopped at Chug Chug Gas and Go in Chugwater, WY. While my husband fueled up, I walked to the top of a hill by this little oasis, and took a few photos. I either dropped my set of keys to our truck and RV or laid them down, and drove off without them. We were a couple of hundred miles up the highway when I missed them.That was over a month ago. Much to my delight, Alex of Chug Chug called me a few days ago to inform me he had my keys, and would ship them to me right away. I have no idea how he tracked me down, but he sent me the tracking number today, so they should arrive in a few days. Alex refused to let me reimburse him for the shipping expenses. We travel this highway periodically, and we will make sure that a fuel stop at Chug Chug Gas and Go is always on our itinerary. Thank you, Alex!

PSA - Gas here was $1 or more per gallon more expensive than stops in either direction on the highway. I paid $4.80 ($4.7999) per gallon of 87 octane. The gas station sign at the next exit south showed, if I remember correctly, ~$3.84. I will be avoiding the Chugwater stop in future trips along 25.

Nice little gas station with friendly people. I don't know why people are so mad about having to pay for using the restrooms when there's a free rest stop across the street. Chug Chug has clean facilities, good selection of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices and a nice new atmosphere. I read that they are famous for their chili and didn't look for or get it when I went but next time I am in the area, I would love to go back and see if they have it. If you are looking for a laugh, read all the reviews and answers by the owners, they provided many laughs during the trip with their honesty.

What is up with the pumps and not reading cards? Twice I have tried to get gas here because I want to support small businesses. I have tried multiple debit and credit cards, each time it says card not read. I tried the tap to pay and inserting the card. I tried touching debit/credit first and putting the card in first. Soooo frustrating!

Was concerned about possibly getting “booted”, after coming after they were closed. A phone call alleviated that. The nice lady said that was a previous owner and they don’t do that. 🙏❤️☺️

Do not use your bank card here! Shopped there a month ago and yesterday 2 separate charges have been taken from my account on a day i wasnt even in Wyoming. As previously stated in other reviews someone here is doing something shady, hopefully the owner will hold employees accountable. But thankfully my bank will fully investigate with the fraud department. Be warned!! Cash only or keep driving!!

Great little stop! I’m a OTR truck driver, I stopped over at the rest area across the street for the night walked over here and got some drinks and snacks for the road the next morning, the cashier which I’m assuming is the owner how she talked. Was so very nice! Very informative of the little town! Told they even offer truck parking, of course it’s not free which is perfectly fine by me! They have earned my parking business because of the great service I received! I will definitely be parking here next time I’m in town! Great little stop!

Couple of weeks ago traveling back to the Mount Rushmore state, we (7 of us) stopped to gas up and the kids dashed to the store while I gassed up. The young lady and her dog were very awesome and the store was clean and warm. Great selection of snacks , specially my choke cherry jelly in which my daughter has yet to return. Overall the clerks smile and kindness left with a warm feeling!

New pumps don’t recognize any of my cards and nobody is inside to take my card. This is a useless stop. The place is open. Nobody home. There was another couple in front of me at the counter that said the same thing.

These people are just mean. You can tell from the unprofessional and argumentative replies to these reviews that they have the mindsets and personalities of bullies. The older woman that owns this store gives extremely hostile and threatening energy. By no means is this store a family-friendly place. I work at a gas station, and I know how to provide excellent customer service. Even when I have crazy drunks coming in causing trouble, I deal with them in a calm and mature manner, even if it means simply calling the police. But the people at "Chug Water" like to take matters into their own hands. For example, literally throwing BIODEGRADABLE sunflower seeds from the ground back into the car at a minor. The people here need to get off their high horse and realize they're just another ugly, middle-of-nowhere, country bumpkin gas station. Which they can't even make up for in decent service. Tragic.

Bought $5 worth of things in the store and had a $125 hold put on my card, it's been 6 days and it still hasn't come off yet. If you absolutely need to stop here don't use your bank card.

This female owner was the rudest person I have come across in forever. My family and I have been traveling all day and our electronics had died, as they often do when traveling long distances. I needed to complete a work project by a deadline so we stopped by to see if we could use an outlet to plug in my computer. My husband asked the clerk first if this was okay and as I proceeded to enter the building, the owner blocked the doorway asking me what I was doing in a very rude way. Once, I explained what I needed and that my husband already was told it was okay, she made me call her husband to see if it was okay. Her husband was incredibly kind and understanding and had no problem with allowing this. She let me enter and use the outlet, but not without a ton of attitude. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t get my computer to cooperate in what was a fast enough response time for her, so she approached me again letting me know how she felt about the situation. She then stated that I hadn’t even purchased anything from her yet and said, “what the hell”. Of course, I had every intention of buying something from her once I was able to complete my work project (as I mentioned I was under a very tight deadline and the clock was ticking), but she didn’t even give me the chance. Come in lady! If I was trying to hack your system, I wouldn’t have brought in my big computer to draw attention to myself and I explained that I wasn’t even using her internet (had my own jet pack). She was absolutely AWFUL! I will never stop here and give them any of my money. If you had such a problem with it, then kindly say so from the beginning let me know that I can’t do it, but don’t be so freaking rude and be on top of me the entire time I am in your building. She treated me like I was a criminal!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Stopped here with my husband, my baby and 2 foster children. We weren’t allowed inside to get snacks change the baby and use the restroom because the foster children were Native American. They told us to go use the rest stop bathrooms.We were paying customers.EXTREMELY RUDE AND RACIST

Traveling with my family of 7 in one vehicle and being on the road for 5 hours we stopped at Chug Chug Go for a fill up/potty break, we were all exhausted and crabby and as soon as we walked into the store we were greeted by a very nice and generous owner( Forgot her name) and her beautiful dog who my niece fell in love with! It was a memory we will share as a family, and for the lady I don’t know if you heard me but my dad is single ;)

I was riding from Deadwood SD to phoenix when I got caught in a pretty cold rainstorm. I stopped the the gas station asking about a hotel in town. The lady was super sweet and when above and beyond to help me out. I ended up buying a pair of warmer gloves and continued on to Cheyenne. I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember her name but that lady was super nice and very helpful and kind to a complete stranger. Thanks

Last winter I bought a winter hat from here, I absolutely loved it. It was nice and warm, and the only one I have found that truly fit. Do you happen to know the brand it was so I can buy another one as I have lost mine? Friendly staff, great little store. Absolute must to stop!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. The owner was extremely rude to myself and my daughter and my fiancé from the moment we stepped into the place. He yelled at my daughter as she was heading to the restroom. I had forgot my wallet in my car. He yelled at myself, telling me that the restrooms are for paying customers. Told him ok I have to go get my wallet. He was watching myself through the window. Giving me dirty looks. Chase my daughter(who is 8years old) around my car as he was in a verbal argument with my fiancé. Called me a liberal because of Colorado plates. My fiancé moved from the one side of the front of the vehicle to the other side and the guy almost pulled a weapon on my unarmed fiancé. He called the cops on us for waiting 5 mins until her father showed up. I would not recommend coming here. I will never step foot in this place again.

Last week my wife and I were riding motorcycles on a cross-country trip. Got caught in a severe hail and lightning storm. Luckily found refuge here at Chug Chug. The staff welcomed us in to get out of the weather & have some coffee and then talked with us for about 30 minutes until the storm passed. I have read the negative reviews and they are laughable at best. I guess you will never make some people happy. Thank you again for the hospitality. Will make a point to stop and support this small business if I am ever in the area.
