We stopped and had excellent ice cream served in a cup or on a cone and really enjoyed the good selection, great service and yummy ice cream! Also checked their selection of local canned beers for purchase and found that to be better for microbrews than some of the liquor stores in Casper. So also bought some beer. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We had the best time here. Not as much going on since it was the off season and the ladies in the store were great and very accommodating. They’ve got packed lunches/breakfast available and all sorts of grab and go items. Room was clean and cozy. We will definitely be returning.

Stopped here after a long day of driving through Wyoming. We were met with the warmest welcome. Perfect amenities for us. Part of us stayed in the RV lot behind and part of us stayed in the cabins. They were cute and well kept. Short drive to the reservoir which was beautiful. Perfect place to stop and rest and the people were genuinely the kindest people I’ve ever met.

Always a treat when they're open and we stop to get ice cream. They even have huckleberry ice cream for you huckleberry lovers! The reason for my 4* rating- The only thing that I don't like is that you get charged for using your debit/credit card. I know some places still do this because they are charged but I don't like it. So bring cash when you stop here.It's a small little convenience store. No fountain drinks and a very small selection. They do of course sell bait and tackle. They also have restrooms for customers but access to them is outside. No biggy. They have a nice sitting area outside for you to eat your ice cream or whatever.

Delightful! Clean and quiet and cozy. Spacious and well equipped. Remember where you are and you will be pleased with your stay at the Cabins. Exceptional service. Very reasonable price, very comfortable bed. We were very happy with our stay.

Went to the north platte on a fishing trip and needed to buy a fishing license. Little did I know I would be treated awfully for such a simple task. I am a resident of Wyoming for the past 6 months and all I needed was a fishing license. I ended up being interrogated and scrutinized by the owner of the store and had the game and fish called on me because the owner thought she knew the law on becoming a resident in Wyoming. For any that are curious on that same question, you are a resident to the game and fish if you have spent ONE whole year in Wyoming. THAT IS IT! If you live in Wyoming for one year than have fun hunting and fishing as a resident. This store is uniformed and should not be allowed to sell license for hunting and fishing. I was forced to buy a non-resident fishing license which cost me over 2/3 of what an annual resident fishing license costs. Shortly after finally getting a NON RESIDENT license I was greeted by a game warden, that she had called on us, and was checked. Jokes on the owner of the store because I am a resident! Thank you game and fish for at least doing your job and being nice. If you need a license or fishing supplies I HIGHLY recommend just going to the ACTUAL fly store. Head east 1/2 a mile past Sloanes and its on the right, they will treat you a lot better.

Wonderful stay! My family and I held our combination family reunion/solar eclipse party here. We were very lucky indeed to have found this place! Each cabin has it's own theme - i.e. tree, deer, hawk. Very clean and well stocked with every kind of kitchen item you could need. The staff was excellent - always checking in with us to see if we needed anything. Wifi doesn't extend to every cabin consistently, but who's there for the wifi?

Be sure to read the other reviews. I know of a lot of people who are banning and boycott this store. Way over priced. Most products on shelves are expired or close to expired bought bread that was almost a 2 weeks past use by date. They freeze bread etc then place on shelves as need so breads are very dry and crumbly milk I have bought has always been close to expire date. Cabins especially over priced.gas outrageous. Best if you fill up in casper and book a cabin at air bnb the owners can and will be rude to people also to their employees they think they know the laws.they have called game and fish a couple of times on visitors and were wrong about the law. Essentially they are disrespectful and rude to the community. They also break the law regarding private property rights of others. Be sure to read the other reviews.

Was interrogated and reported to the game and fish when trying to buy a license here. Employee swore up and down she knew the law. Not 5 minutes after I left I was stopped by the game and fish and everything was in perfect order. This shop will have 0 of my friends and my business in the future of our many fishing trips to the area. To put into perspective of how disrespectful the employee was, I would rather run out of fuel than stop here again.

Got extracted by search in rescue after being caught in #bombcyclone19 Sheriff's dropped us off at Sloanes and Brian and his wife were incredible. The rooms were very nice with all the amenities of a hotel and more! Full kitchen!!! Lg bed + bunk beds + pull out couch. I wouldn't honey moon here but its basically a luxury stay for the Flyfishing Type who get caught up in snow storms.... try the pizza & ice cream... Brian drove us up to the truck 3 days after the storm & made sure we got out safe. Highly recommend

Very clean room. Had everything one would need. Super friendly. Very good price. And although you are supposed to be enjoying nature they had super fast wifi speeds. Will go back again and again.

Nice lodge in a great area for sportsmen. They have around a dozen rooms, two per building. The rooms have a small equipped kitchen with combined living room area. The bedroom is in a separate room. Friendly staff and there's a general store and tackle/fly shop onsite.

Sloane's General Store is a great place to get gas, food, and even ice cream. There are no other general stores in the area. If you are headed to fish the Miracle Mile, this is the last store you will pass.

We only stopped for gas, they had diesel, 91 no ethanol and 85. Prices were reasonable. Will be back.

Good place to stay if you are in Alcova to fish the North Platte or hunt in the area. The lodge is connected to a very good convenience store and the whole facility is run by people who are competent and very nice.
