Received a 5 lb Suzy's Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese frosting as a gift from Nueske for Easter; this cake was beautiful, super decadent and delicious., everyone loved it so much I had to look into this company to see about ordering another one in the future. Found that they do smoked meats, not just treats, so we'll probably try that next.

Was driving from Green Bay to Minneapolis and decided to check out the town of Wittenberg. I'm so glad I got off the highway and headed into town. I drove right by this gem of a place and decided to turn around and check it out, it looked too awesome not too. It is a beautiful store and maintained grounds. The place was packed to the point of having a hard time getting around. I decided to go with some summer sausage as I was travelling. Haven't tried it yet, but I imagine it will be good.

Oh my, oh my!!! This place is heaven 😍. The smell is something I wish they could bottle and make a cologne, it’s smells soooo good. The selection of beef and pork products is overwhelming, in a good way. They have a lot of other local options like popcorn, cheese, maple syrup, pickled everything, jams, baskets for gifts, etc. It is a very cool place outside and inside, a must visit when you are in the area. You can tell there is a lot of history here and the quality of their product and very helpful staff shows in every way. Thank you for a great experience and count on me stopping by everytime in the area.

ALWAYS worth a stop. Some of the best meats I've ever had. I always try to stop whenever I'm passing through. They have an amazing selection of candy and meats. The staff are also always so nice and friendly. It is a very warm and welcoming place. I highly recommend stopping if you are passing through the area.

We did not visit this store but bought a meat package for Christmas which contained corn beef hash, their Applewood smoked bacon and ham and bacon smoked sausage links.Never made bacon in the oven until Neuske's directions were on the package. Best way ever to make bacon. . No mess. And great bacon. Their corn beef hash was so.....good. We have not eaten the sausage yet. Will update when we do. Delivered on time. Well packaged in Styrofoam cooler with ice packs.Exceptional quality.

This place is positioned beautifully in the hill side.Very well maintained inside and out.It is always worth the hour drive to purchase from there establishment.From candy to popcorn to bacon too beef jerky. There's something for everyone.

Service at both the Schoolhouse and the meat market is excellent! I bought a pair of alpaca wool mittens and a pair of alpaca wool socks. My hands and feet have never stayed warmer!! Definitely recommend!!

Love the family atmosphere! We purchased a bunch of meat and some cheese curds. I was amazed to find that they sell 5lbs of thick bacon in a single bag!! Quality meat at a great price! We also went into the antique store which was full of treasures.

Just go. The smell inside the store is enough, but seriously, the bacon, ham, hot dogs... the meat sticks, cheese, cheese curds - yum. They also have a beautiful gift shop that is separate from the meat shop.

Swing in here whenever I’m in town. Every few years. First, ample parking. Never have to worry about that. Friendly staff as you walk in. Place is very clean. First thing I noticed is how the beef jerky is $36 a pound! I did notice how the their prices have been going up but this is a little crazy. For what you can get around here, there’s too many other butcher shops that don’t charge as much. At this point, you’re paying for the name, not so much the product. Also, they had a deal that if you spend $90 you get free Bacon. I spent almost $300 and said I’ll be driving when I leave there (and I don’t eat bacon for other reasons) so I asked to substitute it for something/anything that was cheaper??Was rudely told I could not….I just spent $300!!! and wasn’t allowed to sub $9 Bacon for even a $2 horseradish LMAOWill NOT be coming back ever again. Was on the fence coming back with the insanely high prices but after spending $300 and not being able to do a simple substitution…this establishment places profit over customer service!

It was 2002 at the food and wine expo in Minneapolis where We first tried a mind blowing applewood smoked bacon! Wow!That night changed my tastebuds for quality bacon forever. Fast forward...,Finally for the first time due to a magnitude of curveballs in life, my wife and I made it to your store, beautiful grounds, factory, super helpful and friendly staff and even caught some much needed sweet deals on bacon, ham and pork chops!Even though COVID has made life so ugly, this visit was on the bucket list. Thank you so much for making bacon like no other and fulfilling a wish.Oh, did I mention we had bacon for breakfast LOL

My grandma had ordered from Payton at Nueske’s on Monday 11/20 and it arrived in Florida, Wednesday 11/22! Right in time for Thanksgiving. Everything was packaged great, arrived quickly, AND included a free bacon for how much she ordered. Great stopping place when traveling to or from Green Bay on Hwy 29. Unique barn style touristy store with great meats and other food products. We bought uncured cherry smoked bacon, apple wood smoked ham and apple wood smoked duck breast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices appear less at store than mail order catalog prices. Could see savings by stopping in person to buy.

It's a meat market and has a small gift shop.Great selection of Applewood smoked meats.Price is good, service is grand, selection is big for a small town.Lot of people coming and going all the time.Seems everyone around knows this place.I was there on a Thursday and was surprised at the amount of people coming in.Shool house gifts are priced kinda high.But very Unique gifts.

Mmmmmmm... Bacon. Nueske's apple wood smoked bacon is the best bacon, hands down. Even better when you get it direct from the farm. I've been stopping here for years every time I drive from Minneapolis to Michigan. I'm only disappointed if I get through too late in the day and they're already closed. They've got all kinds of smoked meats, but it's the bacon that made them famous. There's also an old school house that's been converted to an antiques shop, a nice big dog run area and food truck serving up a delicious lunch on holiday weekends.

This is another MUST pass go and collect 200 dollars. I always stop on my way through town and grab a couple brats from the crock pot and pickup all the sausages that I can. Make sure you try the free samples of Sprechers Root Beer as well.

It was a swing and a miss for us. Got a $70 ham delivered for $107 with shipping. I think these guys must be poor logistics negotiators or they have turned shipping into a profit center. I suspect the latter is the case. The ham did arrive on time and was very well packaged. We were excited to serve it the following Sunday, but our dinner was a disappointment. This ham was so salty and weirdly smoky that we could only nibble at it a little bit. Sadly we had to throw it out. We hoped for a special treat, but it didn't quite work out. Will go back to the Cure 81 which is always predictably good. I definitely do want to try the bacon - but only if I can find it in a store somewhere.

We have been buying Nueske's bacon for many years. It is also a wonderful gift. I recently made a mistake on an online order, and they were very very quick to help me resolve it. That kind of customer service makes me a loyal customer. They are wonderful people with delicious bacon!!!
