Wendy puts so much care and effort into her puppies. We purchased a standard poodle from her and had a great experience. When we took him to the groomer for the first time the groomer commented that she can tell we got him from a reputable breeder. Wendy exposes the puppies to many things they'll encounter in life and gives them the best start of life ever! They are truly raised with love!

Wendy called me the morning after we put our application in. She was so nice and answered a lot of questions! We wanted to wait until spring yet we knew there was one puppy that had been brought back but she did not bring this up or push us into purchasing this puppy. However after my original question I ended up and asked her more about him, it became clear she was the person for us to purchase from and work with, and she was happy either having us wait or step up and take on a new pup earlier than expected and would support us. She is someone that I would recommend over and over again, she was so gentle and nice with us. I will definitely go back to Wendy in the future and recommend her to our friends and family. Her place she raised the pups was all perfect for puppies, lots of land and their own special spot to grow into themselves. Last thing to add is she is truly knowledgeable about everything she does and when we asked some more complicated questions, she acknowledged that our vet should be the source for some of our health questions which made me feel like she truly knows what she is doing and won’t also pretend to know things. 10/10 for us, we are forever changed in all the good loving ways from our experience at Moccasin Creek.

Wendy is the the most attentive and responsive breeder I have had the privilege of working with. We had the opportunity to meet Wendy and the puppy we were considering and we knew immediately that we had found a treasure. Wendy is incredible and we fell in love with the mini whoodle puppy we had seen pictures of on the internet. Priscilla, our puppy, is the perfect addition to our family and I have a feeling I will be back in contact with Wendy very soon as my parents are now interested in a whoodle puppy. We decided on this place after researching a variety of non-shedding dogs and finding ethical & professional breeders. Puppy parents were genetically tested prior to having litters & info was available prior to our purchase, parents are lifetime family pets, and puppies grow up in their home with Mom until they go home at 8 weeks old.Socializing our puppy from the start by slowly building in new experiences has been invaluable - and it's great Wendy started them young with things like recorded fireworks and going outside. She normalized what could otherwise be scary things and set us up for success.We've had our mini whoodle since early June and we couldn't have been happier with the process. Watching our spunky pup grow up to give the classic "wheaten greetin" to everyone she is allowed to meet, enthusiastically learn tricks when she knows what's in it her her (treats and toys!), and become confident with daily new experiences from walking on wobbly breakwall rocks to slowly, slowly building up to going happily through street festivals has made for a very fun and busy summer. She has also gotten more cuddly over time.Like all puppies... she jumps, nips, paws, gets random zoomies, and sometimes piddles... but we hired a trainer by 9 weeks old to help us learn how to work with her - and those challenges are minimal now...Here are some key lessons from training that I want to share to possible new puppy parents...Saying "ow!" and flinching after a nip startles them and by completely ignoring them after for 15-30 seconds gets the message across that humans don't want to play like that. We never discouraged licks so she loves giving kisses to say hi and play instead!Practice the "crazy to calm" game to build impulse control. Play to get them amped up and then pretend to be a statue until they calm down - then repeat! It has helped her hyper little self get along with fellow pups who need a break.For jumping, we wait for a sit before engaging. At 6 months she's not perfect, but she really does her best and has shown a lot of improvement.She has been pretty well potty trained since 3.5 months old. Taking her outside immediately after every single accident and taking away the puppy pads within 2 days of coming home has helped her get the message surprisingly quickly. Never sold them for an accident - simply show them where to "go potty" every single time instead.Puppy group classes have been great for socialization, but anyone getting a puppy will find value in hiring a reward-based trainer to get more personalized support.(Original post from 2 months ago, update in Oct. with new photos (2 from her latest groom!))

With so many questionable puppy breeders out there these days, it was refreshing to find such caring, friendly and professional breeders as at Moccasin Creek Whoodles & Doodles. They were very helpful before we picked up our whoodle puppy, nice people to meet, and answered questions after we came home. Wendy was phenomenal to work with in bringing our Lucky (Ronald) home. We reached out to her and the very next day she responded. We met both Lucky and his sister a day later and were able to tale him home that same day! He adjusted so well to our home and city life. I cannot say enough about how great Wendy is at Moccasin Creek Whoodles and Doodles. She handles her responsibility as a breeder with integrity, compassion, and care for both her animals and her owners. I have been researching a responsible, ethical, and quality breeder of a Standard Poodle for Hospice and end of life visitation since 2020. When I found Moccasin Creek's webpage, I immediately contacted Wendy and I knew I found my breeder.Once the litter was born, she invited me to see the four boys when it was safe for them and "Lady" the mommy. I joined her in her home to play with all four puppies and got to sit with Lady and see her disposition. Over the next 4 weeks she allowed me to come and play with the boys often so I could see their personalities and growth both physical and mental.As the puppies developed, I could see how much time Wendy and her family spent socializing the puppies. By 8-weeks when I picked up Waylon James I could touch his ears, tail, all four paws, and teeth. The first night at home he slept just fine with one potty and play break and the next day he was already going to the door to go outside. Cannot say enough what a great experience this was! I found Moccasin Creek Whoodles just by Googling and had never met a Whoodle in real life. My gut was right! Picking up our 8 week old puppy and meeting the Wendy (the breeder) in person along with the Pansy (the mother dog) was delightful! I highly recommend Moccasin Creek Farm for anyone who wants a sweet memory for your kiddos! The family is incredible & take time with you. If I was looking for a Whoodle it would be my place to go.
