It was an excellent experience. I wish we would have a little more time with the Camel and Giraffe, but I am sure they limit it for the animals. The Kangaroos were awesome, and you can pet them. The guy who cares for them told us so much about them. He is excellent. The parakeet experience is just that. Had a ton of birds, and I love all birds. It's definitely worth going.

A great place to spend time with friends and family. Expect a more interactive experience than you'll find at most zoos. We had fun feeding the animals and the photo ops are unbeatable! You get up close to the animals. The park is clean and the animals appear to be well taken care of. I recommend the train ride but be sure to have some food for the lamas. I got some amazing pictures of a lama train heist that will be a treasure forever.

Timbavati was a really fun trip! Staff was generally friendly and helpful, the variety of animals was really impressive, and I've never gotten so close to so many animals in one place. It was really fun to feed and pet the animals. The costs were frequent and high, but I understand the price of running a high quality wildlife park with happy and healthy animals.

Best part of going here was the mama kangaroos and their Joey's. U can pet the mama's but not the Joey's witch is OK. We took pics and I even got a picture of the mama and the baby camel in the cage next to the kangaroos kiss each other it was so cute and I was so shocked they did this. I will definitely be going back with my kids, my boyfriend and I got to go for work. Other best part is feeding the sloths and giraffe they really love carrots.

We almost didn't go after reading some of the reviews but decided to and I am so glad we did. I do not understand the bad reviews because I am picky and it was a little pricey but it was worth every penny. You get to touch and feed most of the animals, the pony and camel rides were great and so was the guy running it. We got to pet a kangaroo and there is a bird area you get to go into and they land on you. The train ride was also nice and the place was very clean. We will definitely be going every year. We had a great experience there! It isn't huge but it is good size, I was happy with the size and what we saw. We were there about 3 hours. It was a weekday so wasn't super busy which was great. Was a great experience overall to be able to be that hands on with the animals.

I have mixed feelings about this zoo. We saw a lion, lioness, tiger, giraffe, kangaroo, turtle, flamingo, and other animals. Some of the animals appear to be underweight. The zoo was almost empty, with the exception of maybe 10 to 15 other families. It felt weird and, at times, a little unsafe being with some of the animals. This Wildlife Park was nice. However, the lion and tiger were too close for comfort.

This zoo completely exceeded my expectations! It's a great size, a wide variety of animals, the animal encounters are what really excited me though, we got to feed a giraffe, hold a baby kangaroo, pet adult kangaroos, feed parakeets, llamas, goats and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few! They also offer a sloth encounter, you have the opportunity to go into the sloth enclosure with a keeper. There is also a very nice park for the kids to stop and play at in the zoo and lots of shade and seating areas/benches. I'm 6'2 and was very uncomfortable of the train ride, but the kids enjoyed it! I definitely recommend this zoo to anyone visiting the Dells! I cannot wait to go again 😀

Pricey for what it is , nice little zoo to pass the time but alot of vacant areas where animals should be. They do have a wide variety of animals, you can feed the giraffes, camels , birds , goats etc for about $10 (you'll get a small cup of carrots, 2 sticks with bird food , and half cup of food for camels. Cost me and my family (2 adults 1 child ) about 100$ for entry, food to feed animals , and train ride.Price for entry: $25

don’t go here. don’t spend money it’s just upsetting to see. I normally don’t do reviews but this place is just awful. such SMALL enclosures for animals that need huge spaces because of the size or nature of them. the lions look thin and as if they aren’t being fed properly. there was an albino that just kept pacing as if it was restless and anxious the entire time i was there, every time i passed it, it was pacing. the kangaroos look as if some are injured, along with maybe something having been done to prevent them from jumping as high as they normally can. they barely jump around and it seems almost painful for them when they do. the lions were crying as if in pain or very hungry. the nursery, while I understand they’re in there for a specific reason such as too cold or young, still has such small spaces for the amount of animals they keep in some of them. certain animals are out in the cold when its too cold for them along with others being in areas where its most likely too bright and not dark enough. this place is just so sad and upsetting to see. it felt as if there was NO proper care going on. its just depressing and so so SO upsetting and uncomfortable to be in. i would give it 0 stars if i could.

This zoo is absolutely wonderful! The animals were happy and friendly, great staff, and you get some wonderful interaction with the animals. The place is large and it doesn't feel crowded one bit. One thing I noted right away and really appreciated was how clean and well taken care of you can tell the animals were. I didn't see even the smallest piece of trash anywhere! Some zoos I've been to are dirty and the animals even look unhappy. Not here! I also loved their gardens throughout the zoo! I didn't have to wait to go in and I did buy tickets online as well because I thought there would be a wait. I came on a weekend so I was surprised to see how quickly we came in.

Nice small zoo, lots of walking. Would recommend buying the Lunchbox when you get your tickets. It has carrot sticks, some corn and seed sticks in it because you can feed some of the animals throughout the park. It will tell you on the map what animals eat what. Also recommend getting both zoo and train tickets together. You can actually walk into a kangaroo enclosure and pet them, go into aviary and feed birds, feed goats and pet them thru fence. Also are able to pet and feed giraffe and camels. Maybe bring some wet ones or hand sanitizer too!

Love how clean the park was ! Animals look healthy and place was awesome. I wish the birds have a big enclosure so they can fly freely. We also saw one of the worker at the cafeteria flash her other coworkers which she quickly turned around when she saw us.

Awesome park. Clean and very well maintained. Kangaroo interaction was very nice, the giraffe feeding was amazing and the parakeet enclosure was fun! It's great for a family with kids as there is a play area and it's not too big where the kids will get lost.

This was a nice zoo. It's not a large facility, as for the walking section. Didn't see some of the animals, but apparently you can only see them via the train, which didn't realize until inside. So if you want to see the 🦒 and bigger animals, pay for the train ride. Was nice to be able to get up close to some animals. Was able to pet kangaroos, and had the option to hold a baby (for extra cost). The canary cage was pretty neat, makes a person feel like a bird whisperer.Restrooms: Restroom I used was clean.

This place is amazing! They are constantly making improvements and adding new exhibits so there are some areas that are under construction or where cages are empty. That being said the experience is so wonderful! I went about 14 years ago, when it was still Storybook Gardens too, and went again this year. It was great all those years ago but it's even better now. A zoo-like experience that's interactive is so rare to find. Absolutely will go back.

Such a wonderful experience! Clean restrooms, friendly staff. Wonderful animal habitats, they were huge! The playground was a hit too! Couldn't believe the Rhino!!! And the petting zoo and feeding the parakeets was great! The nursery was adorable. And the train ride was very fun, and a little break from all the walking and the attendant brought the animals right up to the train! The camels are pretty excited to be fed and they will gum your fingers... Lol but my niece and I had a fabulous time. Definitely worth the ticket price.
