A great value. It was awesome to have a bar / restaurant attached to this hotel. Nobody had to drive, everybody was safe. And we got food and drinks. We did not use the pool so I cannot speak to that. But the room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortableRooms: They have made some recent renovations and really put some good details into the place. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Thank you for having us!

The room was dirty but the main issue was the front desk staff at this facility were HELL to deal with - they were rude, inconsiderate, dishonest and shaaaaady. The morning of checkout i was told over the phone that i needed to immediately sign additional paperwork in order to stay another night. This wouldn't normally seem like a big issue except that i was experiencing vertigo from a migraine which made it impossible for me to walk, crawling to answer the room phone left me retching. Even after informing the staff that i couldn't walk because i was ill they kept repeatedly calling to harass me about it. Oh and this urgent task they claim is required is NOT even corporate policy. The front desk ended up calling the police to "assist" me. So i ended up being taken to the ER when i really didn't want or need to be. The front desk staff was inconsiderate and extremely disrespectful throughout this encounter. Even worse - the motel threw my belongings OUT into the dumpster when i was at the hospital. I lost jewelry, clothing and irreplaceable keepsakes. These people are cruel and as the saying goes "will kick a person when they are down". Stay away from this retched place.Safety: I felt very unsafe at the motel. Warning to all - STAY AWAY!

The man working the front desk was not very friendly and curt. We checked in about 8pm so it wasn't because of the time. The room we rented was smoke free but reeked like pot when we entered. We did report it but if we desired a new room we would have to go upstairs which we declined.Overall the room was adequate and price was cheap so you get what you pay for.Food & drinks: Next to A&W, Culver's and a cheese outlet.

Rooms are ok. Clean, needs some updating. All Super 8 motels have some type of breakfast included. This location does NOT. Packets of oatmeal with no hot water or bowels . Too cheap for to spring for toast or pastries! I feel sorry for families that I have children they want just a little something. Or the construction people that would like from to grab a cuppa coffee in like a doughnut to go with it too cheap to spring for that.

Old run down hotel. Carpet was slick nasty in the room. The good thing was oir was cheap. Took several hours for ac to cool off room. Right by interstate so it's pretty loud road noise

I read many of the reviews before reserving a room at this motel. Please read this before you reserve. There are quality Super 8s. This is not one.Your online profile needs to be updated, as does the motel. I was displeased to be informed that you no longer provide anything other than coffee and juice in the morning. Your "light breakfast" as mentioned online does not qualify. We travel with fruit and instant oatmeal, but I did not even have the hot water near the coffee to prepare the oatmeal. The container which held water was barely noticeably warm to the touch. The carpeting in the hallway is highly stained. Your motel is very damp and has the odor. The "no smoking" expectation is not only a welcomed ordinance, but a necessity for an asthmatic as such as me. It was evident that smoking was done in our room as the smell lingered and the smoke detector was covered by a plastic bag and help on by a rubber band or woman's scrunchy. Cigarette smoke could be smelled walking down the hallway. Someone needs to monitor if it is expected that smoking need be done outside.Please inform parents that this motel is attractive to the road crews that use the facilities. I did work construction and understand the need for low-cost places. A clause in your advertisement "road workers welcome" may give parents the heads up. We were not looking for an "affordable" motel. I expected a comfortable motel. Perhaps your misleading information is what you wish, but you should be upfront with people, so you get happy clientele.

We only booked this hotel BECAUSE it mentioned online that there was breakfast included online, that was a lie there was no breakfast whatsoever. The ice box in out room was sticky and gross, and we had no coffee pot or shower products in our room. Definitely not worth it at all based on the fact that they charge higher saying they include breakfast, and they do not. Upon further inspection of our coffee machine in our room, which we could not use due to the lack of pot. There was a soggy coffee bag left in the machine, clearly showing it was never properly cleaned, and is probably covered in mold. Overall, we recommend you go somewhere else and save your money. Avoid this place.

Night front desk clerk was not very friendly, lobby dimly lit and dirty looking, carpets throughout the halls, stairs and our room looked like they hadn't been vacuumed for ages. Room was small and cramped, not very clean -- I wiped dust and grime off the toilet paper holder. Free coffee and breakfast item was listed on website -- there was coffee, but that was it. When I asked the day front desk clerk (who was much friendlier than the night one), he said they don't do that anymore and have asked Wyndham to take that off the website. (Don't know if that's true or if he's just trying to keep his job). We will definitely not stay at this place again -- if we paid $60, I would figure that you get what you paid for. But the room was over $100 -- not worth the cost.

My mother and I only stayed there 1 hour before needing to leave. The room had flies from the window being open, the window could not be locked so anyone from outside could come in, the bathroom ceiling had water damage and was caving in, it was hard to breath in the room because the carpet had an awful smell to it; not sure what else to even say because we didn't stay. The man at the front desk was nice about us leaving and said because we didn't stay over 2 hours that his boss would contact me the next day and talk about perhaps getting a refund on the room since we didn't stay the night. They took my number but I never received a call back. Personally they can keep the $85 but I knew I had to write a review. Go somewhere else. I don't recommend this place at all. I honestly think the other higher reviews are fakes from the workers.

Don't stay there. The place is a dump.Travel advisor rating of 3.5 is a joke. Rating was based on pre-covid. All recent ratings are one star. Charge me 90 bucks. A big ripoff.Rooms: The hot water in the shower work in reverse twisting left gave you cold water and right gave you hot. Very dangerous.

Ended up in the $120 king bed room because nothing else was available. The room smelled like smoke and it is above a bar which had loud music until well after midnight. You could hear everything from the bar, hallways and even lobby in that room all night. The light switch in the room was grimy. When we complained at leaving, they said they couldn’t offer a discount.Not even worth half the price, recommend avoiding this hotel entirely.

Rude, arrogant night clerk. Madison was very full due to Badger game the next day so reserved here for two rooms. When we got to area, I had errands to prepare for my Mother's funeral the next day so my wife went with our son to check in. Clerk initially demanded that I come in person before he would check us in; eventually relented after a couple of phone calls to me but DEMANDED that I when I got to hotel I stop and see him before anything else. He quoted 'corporate policy' as the reason so I called Wyndham and they said not us, transferred me back to hotel. The rude clerk began lecturing me when he came back on the line. Found out when I did get to the hotel that he assigned us a room that was already occupied. Good Job! As others noted, the website lies. The light breakfast now consists of instant oatmeal and coffee...no hot water for oatmeal though. Carpet is stained, rooms stink, bed was OK. While I understand that Super 8 is generally not a Super hotel, this hotel doesn't even come close to meeting the already very low standards of the chain. Highly suggest that Wyndham do an inspection, and pull their affiliation.

Do not stay here. It’s dirty. I can look past that the dressers are old and damaged and the linens are past their wear life. But there was crusty brown & red spots on our blanket. Then an oily stain on the coverlet. So I checked the sheets. And sure enough, there was a red spot the size of a quarter on it. And not a washed stain, but a stain with the debris still on it. I called for new sheets and a blanket. They brought them but somehow the fitted sheet was too small. I had to call for another sheet. They brought it. Then I was going into bed and saw more crusty brown stains on the blanket they just gave me. I called the desk and they said they had no more blankets. So I asked for a discount and he said, “no, this isn’t Expedia. You just checked in today.”Other issues: the window does not lock and the screen has obviously been tampered with. I had to wedge the curtain adjuster stick in there so it can’t be opened without my knowledge.The toilet is obviously only very quickly cleaned. There’s lots of urine residue around the toilet lid attachment bolts and the lid itself in the crevices. There’s brown stains on the walls by the toilet paper.The towels that were in the bathroom were lightly moist, as if they didn’t go through the dryer long enough.There is no bathtub drain and they won’t give you one. I called and was told that too many times, people overflowed the bathtubs so they aren’t allowing baths anymore.The accent chair is quite stained. If it was in the thrift store, I wouldn’t have touched it, even if it only cost $1.Under the mattress pad, the mattress is stained and there’s a lot of crumbly debris and pubic hair. I only looked because I was checking for bedbugs (I didn’t see any evidence of any).The room isn’t great but I don’t need a state of the art room, just a clean one. The clerk who checked me in was nice. They accept dogs with only a $15 charge.

Older property, but reasonably well kept up. Space is used well considering the size of the room. WiFi is fast. The bed is comfortable. Staff, from management to housekeeping, are friendly and very helpful. It is lovely to be out of the city. Groceries and meals can be delivered from Madison -- a nice surprise, since I'm not very mobile. This is one of very few hotels in the area willing to take cats. Most of the ones who bill themselves as "pet friendly" are only friendly to dogs. My complaints are few and small. The room door latch and the drawers stick often, the towels are scratchy, and the bathtub has no way to cover the drain and take a real bath. Overall, I'm very happy.

I've been here 4 nights so far. My rate was 58.00 a night. Service has been good, room was clean. Fridge didn't work and was able to get it swapped out morning after I checked in. Staff has all been friendly. Night guy was a bit weird but he was nice.Only 2 complaints I have.Their breakfast sucks. Cereal, toast, waffle or oatmeal is all I've seen. Pretty disappointing but its something.Gap under door let's cold air in and noise from hallway.

Room was horribly filthy, mold all over the shower and the pillows are super tiny. I complained to management about the mold in the showers and they came in and only scrubbed part of it not all of it. I left a test for housekeeping and I left two pieces of garbage very clearly on the floor and they couldn't even bother to pick those up. No stoppers for the tub so you can't take a bath and there is no free breakfast either like advertised.Then the property owner decided he wanted to argue with me while I was checking out! Do not bother staying here the worst hotel I've ever stayed at!!

Me and my friend came in this hotel on 21 oct night nearabout at 11 pm to check in and the front desk staff said that only my friend has reservation but not me. Even after showing him the confirmation email he didnt care, didnt check twice and started behaving very rude. We were so shocked and confused and tried to calm him down and requested for his assistance but he directly refused to help. We were lucky that his shift ended soon and the next staff came in. The second staff instantly discovered from their system that the first staff handed over the room to another guest under my name and then I also noticed that my credit card has already been charged. I refuse to believe this is a mistake because they check id, names and cards that leave almost zero chance for such a huge mistake. I am in debt to that second staff who helped me until he made sure that I am getting a refund and did whatever needed to be done.I would like to request the higher hotel authority to look into this case seriously and check on this staff. You can track him from the date and time i mentioned above. I really hope this was a mistake and not a scam and please train him to be professional, empathic and ethical with customers if you dont want to spoil your good reputation.

Rooms were relatively clean but smelt like spices, TV did not work. Originally booked rooms for cheaper, ended up having to get king suites for way too much money, over $100 a night, and separated from our group.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating, when we first arrived they were putting in new carpet hotel wide so they are freshening up their appearance.First room we got we had a room someone obviously had been smoking in, it was a non smoking room so I don't count this against the hotel, when I told them they immediately moved us to a room which didn't have any smoke smell.Breakfast was typical of most hotels, waffles yogurt coffee cereal, scheduled to start at 6am but since I was up earlier the hotel staff jumped into action and had everything set up for me by 5:30. I was the only one there so I was quite impressed with their level of service, that above anything else makes me believe that this hotel staff is more interested in serving their guests then just punching a clock for a job.Thumbs up to this place!The cheese house next door also had excellent food, sandwiches for 5.50 so reasonably priced but of excellent quality.

Do yourself a favor and if you're looking for the same price range book the Days Inn across the highway or Holiday Inn/Comfort Inn Deforest . Definitely not worth saving a few dollars. Read the reviews and believe them or you too will be leaving a negative review! Very poor customer service. Not super clean. Shady clientele.First shift dude super untidy and rude.

It's not great, and I definitely saw a cockroach scuttle across the nightstand in my room on my first night here so I slept with the lights on.The carpets are gross everywhere (rooms, hallways, lobby), the place is run down and the door is so loud and hard to open it kind of feels like a prison really. The decor is from 1985. But at least the TV worked... Unless you're really broke and really need a place to stay, look elsewhere. I would not recommend staying here.

This place was like something out of a horror flick. Everything was dirty, the room wreaked of smoke and mold. The screen was broken on the window where someone tried to get in. The night person at the desk was rude and seemed upset that I interrupted his movie. Bedding smelled and had burn holes in it. No bedbugs thank God. I slept with my pistol within arms reach the entire night. The only thing that could help this place is a bulldozer, what a dump.
