Well stocked garden supply store. Plenty of vegetable, flowers, roses, trees and decorative plants. Seeds, fertilizer, lawn and garden chemicals. The store also has a variety of decorative items both inside and outside. Nice selection of houseplants. Stein's has been in business for decades and they know what to do.

Taking on your own landscaping project? You can do it with Steins! I’ve never undertaken such a task. I did do my research on perennials good for my area, but definitely an amateur. I walked in with my plans on a Sunday without an appointment not really knowing what to expect. I had the pleasure of dealing with Nick, a manager and a very friendly, informative young man. He took all the time I needed and talked with me thoroughly. He walked my cart through the aisles, explaining the pros and cons of each plant. He really went into full detail, curious about my soil, and what was planted there before. Also, my ideas of space, color, maintenance, and of course the deer issue in my neighborhood. Within 90 minutes I had my new front yard. I got some great deals on 2/for plants such as Hydrangea, which comes with a 2-year warranty (as does many other plants and shrubs). He advised that in order to keep my flowers their color, such as hybrid Hydrangea, I’d need sulfur and lime. I can’t believe this all happened on a Sunday afternoon whim after battling my project for nearly 3 years. Greta, another manager was also amazing! She was very helpful, informative and was quick to help Nick load my car. Dennis, you have some amazing employees right there. I have a whole new perspective on Steins. I feared franchise businesses might not be the same, but I was wrong. The fact I get a warranty on many of my products is so reassuring. I can also bring a plant to them if it’s not doing well and they will help me diagnose the problem. So happy with my new front yard. And it didn’t cost me thousands like a landscaper would. Thank you.

In a town where everyone is pretty nice and very helpful, this store is full of people who raise the bar! They are incredibly nice and super helpful!On a format where there are so many paid-for and planted reviews, this is a real one.

So many choices of plants to choose from. Many older tomato plants had shribbled leaves and broken stalks that you have to check for. Went to look for Cherry trees to replace the one that died on us and they only had apple trees. My husband said it was because it was too late to plant the other fruit bearing trees? I guess I will take his word for it. Did come home with an assortment of Chicks and hens as well as a tomato plant and some cucumbers. Would have liked some pickles but they didn't have any. We also got watermelon that we will try to grow. Hard for me because of my back and being disabled but look at the pictures.

EDIT on 7/6/23:I emailed this review to corporate Stein's and they sent this to the District Manager. I did hear from the District Manager who told me what action steps he took in training certain management & employees after this incident. He expressed his sincere apologies & disgust for what happened and asked how he could make things better. I said we were fine but he asked if we ended up with the hydrangea. I said no and he said he would gladly honor the $25.00 price we were quoted. He was very helpful and when I see a company reach out, offer sincere apologies, offer to remedy the situation in some way and let me know how they handled the situation, I like to make sure that I note that!Such a horrible experience today. Was shopping with my husband and we had a hydrangea that had no tag or price on it. Long story short- staff did not handle it well nor were they working as they should be.Areas to improve:+ Don't have 2 girls not working in the hydrangea section & goofing around+ Don't have said girls lie about conversation with my husband and I+ Don't have a checkout person named Lori who is consistently rude whenever I go in+ Don't have said checkout person on their phone playing games on the job+ Don't have said checkout person tell us we are lying that the barcode has a price.+ Don't have Greta trust employees goofing off over customers.+ Don't have said manager tell us we are lying that the barcode has a price.+ and not once- did anyone apologize for their mistakes.

The guy that helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable. Store was well stocked with a lot of nice things. We were shopping for an artificial Christmas tree, and found theirs to be higher quality than any of the other stores we looked.

My family has been shopping at Stein's stores since the 1960's. The West Bend Stein's is always clean and well organized and the store staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful people you could ever meet. The quality of the plants is excellent and the other products they sell are are well made and reasonably priced. I also love their Holiday and Home sections as well.

They have a decent store with lots of selection for gardening. Lots of plants and good service. We had stopped there to look for a large Fountain but so many of them were let run dry and you could hear the pump screaming to get water. I asked someone to add some water to some of these so we could see how they function and they kind of shrugged their shoulders yeah we'll look into it.Many of the items are quite overpriced. We can get better prices online somewhere else. Didn't need to be more competitive.

I purchased a tree from Stein's in 2012 and this year a section didn't light up. One store told me they would fix a tree after 5 yrs. I was referred to the West Bend store and to ask for Scott. He came out to the car and took my tree in the store. Scott asked if I had time to wait around to see if he could figure out the problem. About 15 mins later my tree was fixed. Scott was knowledgeable and so helpful. I didn't think I'd walk out with my tree but I did. So thankful my tree is up and the lights are shining bright!

Love to walk around. They have a great selection of annuals and perennials. I always find something for the garden when I stop. The gift shop is also fun to shop. Great variety. They have a great 'rewards' program!

The customer service here was excellent! I asked one staff person where an item was as she was putting something away. Rather than point me to an aisle, she walked me directly to the spot (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name today). When Sharon checked me out, she told me of a free pet snack sample, explaining the options as I took time to choose one. When I left, she cheerfully stated she hoped I would return! This type of customer service isn't seen much these days. At many places, it's often saying thank you, have a nice day with no feeling. I appreciate the eye contact, smiles, & talking to me like I am an appreciated customer.

I love Stein's and at the West Bend store everyone is always so friendly. Last night I was disappointed though because almost the entire store was already decorated for Christmas. Everywhere you looked. I went in looking for birthday & found almost all holiday.

Cashier was very polite and courteous. Bought 3 rose bushes a little dry and tiny but like the tag says if you can dig a hole it will grow. Also bought rose food soil to get them growing. Was nice to get a 2 year guarantee as well. Always go to steins.

Well my wife had to use the bathroom to change my 10 month old daughter. They said they won't let her use the bathroom because they would have to clean the entire thing due to Covid19. My daughter wiggles around a lot so she won't be able to change my daughter in the car and tries to get away which is to dangerous for her to change her in the car. Especially when my wife went out shopping with just the baby. She was very whiny when she had a dirty diaper. So she had to drive 20 minutes to go home to change her diaper with a crying baby. Due to that she now has a pretty big diaper rash. Thanks Stein's! I could see that falling in the book of Child Endangerment. Also, a lot of the plants in the indoor greenhouses were very, very dry and some looked like they were dying.

They have hard to find stuff for your garden, specialty items, and staff with all sorts of knowledge about plants. It's great seeing their seasonal decorations too.

Very helpful staff, I noticed an error on my receipt 6 days after the purchase. I went to the store and the staff worked with me and fixed the problem( $75) worth. Very friendly and understanding I will go back to buy more!

Stein's doesn't seem to care about protecting me from COVID-19 or obeying the law. Although I'm sure the woman who checked me out just now is quite comfortable, the small plastic face shield she is wearing does not meet the requirements of the Wisconsin Emergency Order. Worse yet, it does virtually nothing to prevent her from spewing the virus into the air if she is infected

The Black Hills Spruce trees you sold on Black Friday were awful. I have never had a tree lose that many needles. Half of the tree was bald before Christmas. How can you sell such a fire hazard. I will never buy another tree from you and neither will our family. There is no way that was a fresh cut tree. You should be ashamed of your self

Generally competitive prices, but there are deals at local green houses that will beat them from time to time. But, it's hard to beat the convenience of "one stop shop" here. Employees always helpful.
