Petco in West Bend does a really wonderful job grooming. This is a photo of my dog with his complimentary gingerbread bandana that he got after his appointment. He came home that day so happy, smelling like gingerbread cookies with the softest fur!

My young children wanted to get fish, a process I am wholly unfamiliar with. I went in 3 times: first to talk to someone about what I would need, how it works, what it would cost. Then to buy all the stuff. Lastly to buy the fish themselves once my water was ready. Every time I worked with a different person who was impressively knowledgeable and helpful! The level of expertise, not to mention just friendly and great with my kids- It was exceptional. Thank you to the whole team!

I came into the store because my pick up in store order had canceled. I was sick so I couldn’t come pick it up. I went to the register to see if they could find the items for me. I wasn’t able to speak due to a medical condition. The cashier called someone to come and help me. They were both really patient as I had to write what I wanted to say. They gladly retrieved the items and brought them to the register. I then checked out. Wrote thank you and left. I just wanted the manager to know what wonderful employees are at the west bend Wisconsin store

We go here for all our pet supplies mainly fish stuff. Built most of my tank using Petco stuff. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are whatever. Everything is expensive these days. EVERYTHING.

We’ve had horrible customer service in the past and rarely shop here anymore, but now I’m especially upset considering I drove all the way over here from another city just to have no access to the store during business hours. Needed a beta fish for my beta fish vase via instructions that came with vase. It had instructions to put a live air plant in water and a beta. She said she couldn't sell me a fish cause it was against there policy to put a beta in a container with no air flow bubbling system. Then why is it legal for stores to.sell a vase with instructions on how to set up a beta bowl? Downright stupid!

Staff is great. The dog and cat selection is excellent, but their bugs are always dead (for our lizards) or not in stock, and that is really frustrating!

Friendly staff but completely messed up my pickup order. Wrong size food 16 vs 50lb., wrong flavors and sizes of milk bones. Picked the items off the website and brought in a print out. Will return because usually they’re right on.

I dont think it is right that they want to charge for bags for the items that I purchased in their store. I will pay more at competitors stores because of this. This is very rude and will only go to Petco when I need things that other stores dont have.

Online order pick up. Pick up was clunky and took longer than it should have. Not sure if the cashier was new. Someone else ended up grabbing my order for me to ease the process. Waited for 10 min for 2 items to be purchased by another patron prior to the same. Likely wont return but its the only location that had the size for my little monster's sweater.

I went there to stock my 29 gallon freshwater fish tank and Nancy was very helpful picking out a variety of fish. She was knowledgeable and a delight to work with. The store was very clean and well stocked. My 4 yo grandson had a blast looking at all the different animals they carry.

I give them a one star now due to the fact I have never since going their had any problems going in with an of my animals. I have diffrent type of animals from pets, animals i rehab, or ones which are N.R. (non-releasable). I go to diffrent stores depending on what I need and what the stores carry and I at times bring them in. Unfortunately for the first time I was kicked out for bring one on my N.R.s in which I have done with this one many times and she is very popular with everyone including staff yet this time one staff member told me I had to leave. So much for having a friendly animals acceptance. Yes she was on a leash. No more going their from now on for any of my needed items. I'll keep going to the others as management love her coming around.

Store was a bit messy and lacking on a lot of product. I know the individual stores don't determine price but they have become way over priced recently. A coat for a 18 pound dog was $56.

Its nice having a full service pet store in West Bend, WI. My visit today was to redeem a free treat $4.00 value for Pal Members and this month my cat is having a birthday. If your looking for Purina or Friskies type brand foods for either wet or dry. You will be out of luck. Petco carries more gourmet/specialty foods. Also have a good selection of treats and toys for cats. My visit was for my cat but Petco has many more departments for other family pets.

Had to ask for assistance 4 times before one of the staff came out from the back to help. Poor cashier was left alone tending to her duties and tend to all of the other guest while 3 other employees were hanging out in the back. The cashier was super kind and very composed under the pressure she was in dealing with all the customers alone.

We took our dog in to find a harness but no one helped us try to figure out which one would be best. She's a big dog and we're having a hard time finding the right one. There was a group of employees talking to each other by the fish but none were helping other either. We left with nothing

I rarely end up making a purchase here. Prices are higher than competitors. Staff is indifferent to customers. Store seems a bit dirty, not sure if it's just the lighting or if it's unkept but needs work.
