Needed a large rolling tool box. Wausau location had it in stock. At the desired price.The guy working in the tool section was helpful. Even got an assist taking to and into my truck.It's now full and being used. Very happy with the outcome.

Only 1 register was open. It was a long wait to check out. Very few staff were available to help customers. Found a helpful gentleman near the checkout though. A large selection of merchandise. Would have given a higher rating if the location was more customer service oriented.

I visit our local Home Depot, Wausau, WI a couple times a week, especially this time of year. Yesterday, May 3, 2024, a young man named Ethon was in the little glass hut at the entry in the outdoor area. A very nice professional young man that promptly asked me if he could help me as I walked in. This is the first time anyone at that entrance has asked me that in months. Well done, Ethon. Well done Home Depot, good hire.

Bought a washer. Specifically picked the washer because it had an earlier delivery date than the cheaper one. This is the only reason I bought this washer. That washer has now been delayed a week. I picked the delivery day because it was a day I could be available. The day they delayed it to I am out of town and now have to go to the laundromat because I don't have a damn washing machine.

I don’t recommend this store, the prices are high, higher than in other stores, when we bought the tiles at the checkout they said that the price was too cheap and the whole delegation spent 40 minutes checking whether the price for this package really corresponded, despite the fact that all the cash registers were empty, and my husband said that he was in a hurry and this was not the first time he had bought this tile at that price, and after everything the sellers didn’t even apologize!!

Great store and friendly customer service. What’s not so good is if you need help with a Home Depot like question that a male employee should know then ehh not so good I had to get help from another male customer with what size of screws that I needed to get but none of the male employees could understand the directions given on the instructional pamphlet and what the sizes actually were. So like I said great people friendly service but definitely need more employees with Home Depot like based knowledge and experience. I’m giving Home Depot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Store is pretty clean, and most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I mainly stop by the garden center section, and they do have a wonderful selection. Although, sometimes worse for wear for sure. Easy to find a gem in the rough and save it though.

Much of the staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable. I would like to make a personal shout out to the flooring manager for all of their help along the way. Overall the prices are fair and the staff knows how to help you or who to ask. Really loving the new flooring in our house. Everything from flooring to appliances to countertops in our house was purchased through The Home Depot and I love all of it. The trick is to wait for a sale on big ticket items (but that is already known).

Don't buy the 4 gallon jugs of water that are supposed to be exchangeable! They never have any water to exchange with and you can't go to another home depot I tried that and they won't allow you to exchange them because it's different water all of a sudden. There website advertised this a primo water but per there customer service is in fact not. They where no help and obviously is a big scam!

5 stars based on my experience with Linda in the Paint Department. She was so knowledgeable and attentive to be sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, she seemed to know more than I did about what was required for my project. In hindsight, I'd have liked to put the stars on my pallet flags the way they are placed on the American flag. But, all-in-all, I'm really happy with my new lawn decorations! Thanks Linda! The colors are beautifully bright!

Usually when I go into Home Depot it’s during early morning and everyone’s so nice and helpful but today I went in after 6pm and it was terrible service. The kids at the register in back were cocky and rude, I had to ask 3 people for help before getting any help.. fast forward and hour later waiting for something they had to grab with a forklift and they bring the wrong product. I was so irritated I just walked out.

Contacted this location because there was something I wanted that was sold out at all my local stores. They confirmed they had it but couldn't hold it. I told them I was driving from 3 hours away and was willing to pre-pay but they wouldn't let me. Sure enough, when I got there the item was "sold". Sucks for me wasting a whole day, but I could get over that because I was in good company and had a nice drive... the part I didn't care for though is the Customer Service Rep with the smart mouth. Glad I don't live in Wausau.

I usually avoid mega-stores but found this visit to be a very pleasant experience. I need a specialty paint for some interior work and lucked upon an extremely helpful employee who made sure I got what I really needed. She even tested my brush selection to be sure that it would fit into the can I purchased. The finished job looked just like I had visualized!

Good pricing on some tools and equipment. Disappointing in the lack of help and knowledge from employees. I asked 2 different staff members for help finding a leaf blower from a promotion and never got a clear answer on the 2 that were supposed to be in stock. Ended up not purchasing. Wasted about 45 minutes sorting through lumber racks to find 7 boards worth buying, and even those had significant defects, leaving no room for error on my cuts.

The paint dept. Has a great lady that works there. She helped me re tint 2 gallon paints to match what was existing even though it was the same color 5 years earlier it went on near three shades lighter. Just did 2x the tint and it was a near perfect match. Was trying to get this done on my foundation before all my bushes and flowers came up. Got the most important stuff done and will wait till fall to finish whole house. Thank you HD!💝😁

We spent $3500 on a riding lawn mower and set up delivery. It never came the day we scheduled and we got an email saying that someone was not home or there was an issue with loading. We were definitely home so that wasn’t the issue. We called the store to find out more info (which they were not able to provide) so we set up another delivery date. Two days later we found out a group of HD staff were joy riding with lawnmowers in the back of the building which is why we didn’t get our $3500 mower delivered on time.

I’m not 100% sure what is offered to the register clerks as commission to sell those Home Depot cards…But they are relentless. The employee who helped me would not stop. Then they proceeded to fabricate false claims about the turkey fryer I was buying (which was the least expensive and lowest-end fryer I could find in Wausau). It’s just a pot with a burner.I’ll order online next time and avoid the vultures.The store itself, is well stocked and clean. Their website also has easy to follow directions and a map for locating items when you come to the store. Which I found very helpful

Won't shop anywhere else for power tools. We bought a Milwaukee power drill. The sales man, (we don't remember his name,) he has the funny beard, ( he told us that) was so helpful. He educated us on the difference between brushed and brushless tools. He was low pressure, it was fun to shop and learn. We ended up spending $500. Not what we expected when we went in, but it was fun.

We always use the Home Depot over Menards due to one employee - John. He works in appliances in the winter months and lumber in the summer but is very knowledgeable about everything and genuinely someone I'd love to have a beer with. He helped my wife and I pick out a washer dryer when we first moved here and then worked with me to get every piece of lumber for a home project. I'm not a contractor but I had a DIY project for our yard. I was only short only one piece out of nearly 500 pieces for this trellis project and I probably mis-counted. Either way if you go here hunt him down.
