I Love this place! I went in last November for supplements to help my dogs mobility and health. My 8 year old Bully dog was falling apart and could barely walk. It broke my heart. I had a conversation with Heidi that I will forever be grateful for!! Her knowledge helped me learn about the importance of nutrition and the benefits of feeding raw food. Sadly I didn't know if I could afford it. But I went home and considered how much I was paying for supplements, and vet bills, and how badly I didn't want to put her on big pharma drugs. So a week later I gave it a try. She has been full raw since 11/22/23 and her health has improved so much. She has lost weight and her mobility has improved so much and continues to improve. And she is so much more playful. I truly believe Heidi's guidance helped extend my dogs life! Thank You so much for taking the time to care and go the extra mile!! Forever Grateful for that life changing conversation 💗

Gotta love the name, Katzenbarkers. Friendly, helpful staff, even gave us a free sample of a treat for our cats to try. A neat shop with more than just pet supplies, they also have coffee mugs and t-shirts.Our cats were very happy with the treats they got, and we will return again when we're in the area.

We have been shopping at katzenbarkers for our pup for years! It is far and away the BEST pet store in the Wausau Area. They are always super friendly to us and our pup and are genuinely friendly and caring. We feel at home at this store and would highly reccomend this to anyone! It can be a bit pricier than other chain stores but as far as I'm concerned it's worth it, everything here is high quality and healthy for your pets!

If you are into organic dog food or all of the top holistic brands for your dog this place is a one stop shop. They also have an awesome selection of chews ,toys,treats, cat food and other select items . Great parking and friendly knowledgeable staff plus you can bring your dog . Very cool.

My wife and I enjoyed our visit here. We were greeted by a friendly dog up for adoption and her friendly caretaker. After hanging out with those two we ventured in and explored all of their great inventory. They have a great selection of unique products for animal lovers, and if you're in the market for a gift this is a great place to check out.We bought some toys for our cats and they loved them. If we ever end up near here again we'll definitely pay them a visit!

Nice little store a little pricey. Wanted a birthday cake for my dogs 1st birthday , but not for $24.99 got him a cupcake instead for $3.99 was very dry and crumbly. Service was top notch. Will check it out again though.

Great selection of "healthy" foods for your pets. There is a difference as we found out way back in 2007 during the Melamine Pet Food Recall. Katzenbarkers was one of the only sources for natural pet foods in this area at the time. Excellent service provided by a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We came in and the store was only open for like another 20 minutes but the associate was super nice and woulda let us stay as long as we wanted. He also gave us a bunch of free cat food samples that were made in Wisconsin. 10/10

Would never spend a dime at this store. Went there to buy 4 bags of acana freshwater dog food and was told i couldnt buy anything inside with out a mask. Please spend your money elsewhere if possible, this is not american values, my health should not be decided by government or any city officials. I get it, its their business, but other businesses will take your money and not treat you like a child. People also have health problems that can be increased by wearing masks, maybe I am one of them.

Great place for natural dog food. They offer a grooming service that is personal and definitely worth checking out. They have stuff for cats, dogs, and maybe other animals. They have food, toys, pet products, and other cool stuff if you're into that.
