The young woman there are disrespectful, and always try to overcharge from shelf price. They turned this store into the dumps. Take pics of shelf price. They will not tell you of the overcharge.

Prices are much higher at this location on Bridge Street than the same Family Dollar on Grand Ave., Also much friendlier and welcoming employees at the one on Grand Ave. Today a young male employee who wore glasses was very rude when addressing my 3yr old. Which he could've asked me and I would've handled it. So my 3yr old was, while i was checking out, he stood on the shelf where the candy bars and gum are at so he could see what was going on, not a big deal, not like he weighs something to break it. Other than that, the other employees are cool. A couple however you can tell are higher than kites while at work. On a different day, myself along with another customer were just standing there watching the particular employee nod off...I mean they were bent over at the waist, head down, full blown nodding. The other customer coughed after a couple of minutes and that woke the employee up.. Who then proceeded to go very very slowly almost like they were in a trance or as if bagging a few items in slow motion.Ughh*Update* New employees, seems like a high turnover rate at this store..due to wages.. But other than that... No complaints. No drugged up employees either.. Or at least that I'm aware.*Update* This is the only Family Dollar now in Wausau/Weston. The bathroom is now closed to the public due to people stealing. So I'd suggest if you need to use the bathroom, stop at a gas station before going to Family Dollar. Other than that, good customer service but still. High turn over rate.

When I was checking out I had to listen to this lady I believe her name was Nikki I overheard him say her name and the gentleman that was checking me out both of them was complain about management or the owner saying that the world doesn't revolve around a million air then on top of that I didn't have enough money I was paying with a food card wasn't aware that breath spray I couldn't get an I heard her making a negative comment same as she go shopping she makes sure she always has enough money for everything then the gentleman that was checking me out told me he would have to put the whole order back and I said okay that's fine as he sat there for like a whole minute wasting my time when I told him Yes again like he was ignoring me and I told him that it was the breath spray and he said no it's the coffee when I was right just arguing good thing there was only one person it's just a little things like that to where assertive assertiveness and being mindful of others as a store cashier for experience would be wonderful.

I love this place. Great location, great deals on products (there are definitely quite a few items where they're less expensive than Walmart on the exact same name brand products), & the employees are incredibly helpful & nice. 🙂

Very nice and very clean! Nice selection of products ranging from name brand to generic! Another reviewer said this posting is wrong but that is incorrect; it used to be Family Video but is now a Family Video/Family Dollar so it is indeed correct that the store is here.

This setting is wrong family video is the only store there family Dollar is not. Please correct the fly error thank you PS I live in this town. PS before this post I did this post during this post I should say the store was still Family Video now as of November 2020 to it is now dollar General time Diamond dollar or whatever it's called Dollar Store so sorry

This place was a total mess, couldn't even push a cart through the aisle. Shelfs all torn apart laying all over, boxes and shopping carts blocking merchandise all the while the girl working had her nose in her cellphone behind the front counter

I don't know who manages this store but it is filthy dirty inside the outside has broken windows and it's a disgrace to the city of wausau. Very disappointed in this family Dollar

I have work there and yes some of the employees are very nice and some of them don't care who they yell at infront of a customer and they take long smoke brakes and complain about when we ask for help when there a long line or if we need something from them that a cashier can't do

Nice to have a dollar store on the east side of town. Inexpensive frozen foods, nice variety of housewares, hardware, greeting cards, etc.
