My experiences go very back and forth at this location. My experience, however, isn't very good. I spent well well over 6 hours, between two days, trying to obtain a new tablet that was covered under my total tech. Something that should not have taken that long took FOREVER. The one associate I was working with spent more time talking and screwing around with other workers. They certainly like to waste your time, that's for sure. The Geek Squad services, however, have been completely different. I've been wowed and serviced EXTREMELY fast

I've been a total member here for the last 4 months and it is hands down the best investment that I have ever made. I have purchased all of my electronics there and have had to return 2 different phones 3 times and have gotten replacements on the same day.. It's definitely worth being a member here..

The store is in a convenient and easy to access location. It is central Wisconsin's only large electronics store that offers a nice selection at reasonable prices. That being said it is woefully understaffed. There were some departments that were cluttered and unkempt. Waited 10 minutes at the cellphone counter for help. A sales associate from another department came by apologizing for our wait and said he would get the associate who would help us but it may be another 10 minutes. We just gave up and left. This is not a reflection on the staff there. The few that were there seemed to be very engaged and helpful with the customers they were serving. It was the fact that there were people waiting for their turn to speak to that helpful associate that turned a few people off.

Wyatt was exceptional..answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns...and a special thumbs up to the gal that located the unit that I bought (her name escapes me right now). I am very pleased with my visit to the store, and if I need anymore help with anything computer related, Best Buy Wausau is the first place I will go.

On Wednesday, I visited the store to kick off my early Black Friday shopping. While most of the deals seemed to mirror what they offered earlier in the year, there were a few exceptions. The staff warmly greeted me upon arrival, offered assistance, and efficiently guided me to the items I was seeking. Despite some technical glitches, the cashier remained prompt and responsive. Although the sales didn't quite match previous years' standards, the exceptional service truly stood out on that day!

Arrived at the store for a pickup order around 11:30a. Locations are labeled and the location for pickup is near the front anyway. Upon entering I made my way to the pickup counter after indicating via the website that I was at the store. I approached the agent behind the pickup counter with barcode prepared and was immediately accosted, stopped, and corralled by an employee at the entrance desk.Now, the agent at the pickup counter is likely there because he has a job he is more than capable of doing. I was halfway to the desk. Evidently I was not allowed to go further. Thepushy employee at the entrance helped an older couple who entered before me, almost, though not quite, pushing the pickup agent out of the way to help them. Managed to not get my pickup anyway which made the pickup agent have to walk to the entrance to attempt to go through the steps the employee at the front already did.So look, there are times where expediting a process has value. However, in the time it took for her to slap a leash on me I could easily have spoken with the young gentleman myself and been out the door and not felt as if I had stepped into an unwelcoming environment.Note: Many of my experiences have been fine. But man, I went from relieved to finally get my order to frustrated before ever seeing the thing.

The team in laptops helped find exactly what I needed for a new computer/monitor setup for my parents. A sale Chromebook was out of stock and unavailable for order, but the team helped immensely with finding open box items that more than met our technical needs and ended up bringing us in below our original budget.

We went in looking for a Samsung tablet. First we couldn't find anyone to help. Then they sent us a young girl who knew absolutely nothing about them. Every question we asked she looked at the information written right in front of us on the labels & gave us no more. We might be older but we can read. Very disappointing. We like the quality of the merchandise we've gotten but your people need better training. We left irritated to say the least!!

Very professional geek squad. Made determination within minutes that the hinge repairs on my computer would require it to be shipped out for $90 and probably be $300 or $400 to fix so we opted to get a new computer for that price.

Better off ordering online. Prices are better. The product availability in store has decreased. Its hard to find what your looking for, and the selections are limited in store. Staff has been both friendly and rude. Use to come for gaming needs, and it's just not worth it anymore.

I will never buy anything from BestBuy again. They have very misleading sales tactics that are borderline fraudulent. Try calling the store for information. All calls go to a call center. The man who helped us set up the laptop did a very good job, which was the only positive aspect of our experience.

Wanted to by a 300 dollar microphone. I had a 10 dollar reward certificate to use, but they didn’t let me use it. Seemed like a new employee. I’m going to get it on Amazon. It was 11 dollars cheaper. Best Buy said they weren’t going to price match…. Guess they will have fun in bankruptcy? The customer service is horrible & they treat you like a criminal when you walk in. That’s what you get for having there credit card & spending 30k or more lifetime there. Worse Buy.

I was able to purchase a new LG tv and sound bar from the local 399 Best Buy store and everyone that I felt with was very courteous and helpful in my questions...some of them pretty silly. Even when my tv went on sale a week after getting it I was able to talk to corporate and get the difference off with no issues. I was very impressed this time around.Update: I have ordered several lego sets from this store and each time I am disappointed with the fact a sticker is placed on the box. It might seem small but they are impossible to get off without ruining the box and to me that almost wrecks the whole experience

Unfortunate events that could've been prevented. I had an online order which I "returned" back into the store. A few days later, I get an email and text notification that my order is ready for pick-up. Confused, I logged into my BestBuy account and saw what I had "returned," I was charged for as another order! I tried to call my local BestBuy but ended up speaking to their Online Customer Support, obviously since the "purchase" was made instore, I had to drive all the way back to the store to resolve this mess. I live half an hour away so that was already a hassle driving back and forth. I worked with a different associate this time and he was able to get both my refunds completed but the mess continued. On the drive back home from BestBuy, I wound up hitting a deer coming out full speed from the ditch. I received over $5,000 worth of damage from THAT drive back home. Insurance covered the repair but I'm still down $1,000 along with no car for 2 weeks which led to several cancelled plans all because I had to go into the store to fix what should've been fix with my first visit.

I don't expect much anymore, but the staff experience was bad, even by lowered standards. I wanted an updated security system. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and just as importantly had a specific list of what I didn't want. I don't know if the salesperson got an extra commission on the Ring or Amazon cameras, but that's all he would talk about despite me telling him in the first 3 seconds I had absolutely no interest. Eventually I just told him to get away, because he just kept continually taking about the products I didn't want. I understand using Google and Amazon reviews when you are ordering something online, but I shouldn't have to do that when I'm in store asking the most basic questions.
