Beware! Was given an almost $600 bill for services that cost $275 only months prior. Its sad, because the staff is truly wonderful, and its clean and safe and I always enjoyed the experience. But, it was recently bought out by a large corporation who jacked the prices sky high without disclosing that to patients at time of scheduling. Classic bate and switch, will be taking by business elseware.

absolutely never again. we brought my dog there many times and every time they left us so disappointed and overcharged us. the last time i went there for my dog, we went to get a tumor removed and a teeth cleaning but ended up spending around 1.4k on 14 teeth being removed causing my dog to not be able to eat properly and didn't remove the tumor well. after this we decided to go to randolph (100x better anytime) and asked for waupun to send over my dogs papers in which they never did. i'm only writing this review now because i was genuinely worried if i did while my pup was alive and we went there they'd mess him up even more. they also deleted my last review lol. wimps.

They took us in an emergency for a mill cat that was attacked by something wild. They were very competent. He seems to be doing well and we love him. He's getting neutered on Monday. I have confidence in them.

The office and veterinary staff were nice and most of all accommodating. We had to get one of our dogs in for an unexpected appointment and they were the only ones out of 15 offices that I called that would see him. Hats off to them and keep up the great work.

They just leave me confused. When I call to ask questions for clarity, I get passed from person to person. The explanation for requiring me to bring in my young kitten every 2 weeks for 1 injection at a time (+ also a mandatory “exam” ~$45 tacked on.) doesn’t make sense. They didn’t do ANY injections at his first appointment which is what I asked for. It doesn’t make sense and nobody can explain it because it isn’t necessary. Have been rescuing kittens my whole life, never have I had to do one shot at a time so that they could conveniently get in another exam fee out of me.It’s not only the feeling that they’re trying to literally drain my pockets, but I don’t want to bring my poor kitten out of the house into the car and to the vet so often. I have a busy schedule, not to mention he hates the car. It’s traumatizing to him and I’d like to keep it at a minimum. They treated his ear mites… those are back. The tx didn’t work. I’m afraid to even mention it because I know they’ll just charge me an arm and a leg again. I’ve had to just handle everything myself. They’ve never offered to clip his nails, I do that myself too. I’m just so upset that I can not get clear answers out of them.I am not concerned about leukemia, heart murmur, etc in my kitten. They keep mentioning these things trying to get me to run more tests, or as explanation for the additional exams. I just want him to have his shots, please! It is that simple!

Very friendly, very helpful & so very caring! The rooms are a little small but that was the only "con". The place is a little hard to find off the street as they are in the backside of a business center if anyone has a problem finding it. 😉

My dog swallowed a lethal dose of medication and they told me they couldn't help her until later in the afternoon. I reiterated that it was a lethal dose for a dog 5 times her size, and afternoon would be too late. In an incredibly unkind tone the receptionist said I would need to call an emergency vet. I called the vet in beaver dam, who is also not an emergency vet, and they had her in within the hour. I get that your busy, but maybe leave someone open for emergency services if you're the only vet in town. Also, if you're going to be a receptionist... Be kindI would've paid whatever to save her life.I would not recommend.

When we had first moved to the area, we hadn't even had time to establish a vet before an emergency came up with one of our pets. I immediately searched for ER vets and Maple Knoll was the first to pop up. I called right away just to be turned down because I wasn't an already "existing customer".. If you are going to label yourself an emergency vet, then you are to cater to all, as you should anyways. This last winter we had our elderly ferret take a turn for the worst and the best thing to do for her was put her down. She was about 8 years old and lived her life out pretty well. Instead of watching her suffer, I decided to call maple knoll and give one last shot. I called them up explaining my elderly ferret lost the use of her back legs and was urinating on herself, that she was 8 years old and I needed to put her down. Surprisingly they said they would but wanted to examine her first... Basically find a reason to charge me for nothing.. there was no helping her. I explained that she didn't need an exam because our prior vet stated this would most likely happen and she would need to be put down. They wanted to argue the fact but finally ended up agreeing that an exam was pointless. My daughter and I took the ferret in, we were brought to a room where they gave the first shot to put her to sleep. She didn't end up being fully asleep before the vet came in. The vet just grabbed herKama said "this is going to hurt if she isn't fully asleep", plunged it into her stomach making her scream because as I said before she wasn't fully asleep. Then shoved the tissue box across the table and said " Here if ya wanna cry some more".. and walked out of the room. That was one of the most traumatizing things my child had witnessed and some of the worst bedside manner I've ever seen come from a vet. Because of my personal experiences, I definitely would not recommend to anyone. I should have listened to all the complaints and stories when people recommend me not to go there. They try any way possible to get as much money from you as they can. Doing unneeded testing and exams when you don't actually need them and then charging you for them saying it was a "need". While sitting waiting to have my pet put down, I overheard them arguing with a customer because they were charging the customer for a test they didn't ask for or know was being done, that didn't actually "need" to be done .. They care more about money then the animals.

Awesome! Dr. Julie and all the staff show that they have their "patients" best interest at heart. So glad my neighbor told me about this place. I totally trust my pets in their care.

My dog, Ellie May, went for her annual check-up. The dental assistant was professional, and knew a lot about Ellie as a guardian dog. I was very pleased with her treatment and conversation with me and Ellie.I knew Ellie's gums were red & swollen. The vet showed me that Ellie had broken off her molars, probably from chewing on a door knob or eating through soup cans! I was able to schedule her dental appointment within days. The staff called during the procedure to keep me updated and get permission for an additional procedure. I feel the vet & staff are knowledgeable, caring and concerned.

I have used this vet for a number of years but when I had an emergency they couldn't make time for me. I called with a very sick cat and wanted to get him looked at. Even after explaining the problem, I was told they did not have time and to drive to Madison or Appleton to emergency vets. I contacted another vet in Beaver Dam who squeezed me in. I got test results back the next morning and the other vet extended their Saturday hours so I could have my buddy put to rest and stop his suffering. What's the point of having a local vet who will not see your pet in an emergency locally. Very unhappy with this type of response.

You are still not allowed to go in with your dog and never actually talk with the vet. Took my dog with a list of written questions and the tech who brought my dog out did not have any answers to my questions. Not going in with my dog I cannot feel that I know what is going on with my dog and can't get answers to my concerns. I might have to change vets.

We know that our kitty is at the end of life. She is 13 years old and has a tumor on her bladder. She has lost almost half her weight and is passing bloody urine. We called a week ago to have pain medication for her. They gave us an anti-inflammatory and a medicine to help with her appetite. I called to have a different pain medication because it seems she is in pain after only 6 hours of getting the medication. Their response was to try a new medication to help her appetite, try their special food, and/or a referral to a cancer specialist. My cat is in pain. We want her comfortable. What the heck?In a hot minute they will try any test, exam, anything. I get they have a business to run but at the expense of our pet’s pain?I do not recommend this place.

Called about are cat being sick and couldn’t even stand said they couldn’t get her in. But with no other options because we had called all over around here and no one else could get her in so instead of continuing to let our cat suffer just showed up to maple knolls to have them look at her. They would not even look at her to see what may be wrong instead told my fiancé to take her to markesan. Long story short ended up going to markesan and then being told to go to Randolph where she ended up having to be put down. So why have a vet clinic if you can’t even take your animal in in an emergency situation. Would not recommend.

Absolute worst vet in the state of Wisconsin. I could list so many problems it’s unreal. Took both my cat and dog there and to say I’ve been dissatisfied is an understatement.

Very cold and unfeeling place. Overpriced also when you ask how much for this or that they always seem to forget about things so you end up with a nice surprise of I asked you how much you told me this and oh well miscommunication. My biggest problem is they don't openly tell you thing you better do your homework b4 you go here as they do not offer info unless you ask specific questions. I would avoid this place just like breeders do.

Not a lot of options in the booming town of Waupun, but this place is top notch. They are so hospitable with great "bedside manner", and they treat my fur babies like their own family and that is priceless to me.

Out of touch when it comes to preventative care. May be small town, but they're out of touch with the needs of the local pet owners.
