Staff are incredibly rude and are never available. I’ve been in there twice. The first time I was picking up a few items. I went up to the register and there was no one in sight. There was a line of 4 people behind me and the lady behind me yelled “is there anyone who can check us out?” Then finally someone came up to the register. The second time there were employees available, but they kept watching me and “putting things away” near me as if I was going to take something. I had on shorts, tank top and I had my wallet in my cart. I was shopping around and had items in my cart. I went over to the makeup and was looking for the right color and one of the employees comes over and starts pretending to put things away, watching me as if I’m going to steal the makeup. I finally picked out the right color and she’s still standing there blocking me from putting the foundation into my cart. I had to ask her twice to please move because she was blocking me from my cart.

This is the second time I was in this Dollar General. The first time, the manager was helpful. There was a very good selection of Christmas toys which is what I was stopping in for. The second time, a staff member was working the checkout which was very busy. I had come to switch out an item which was all that needed to be done. But the girl didn't know how to do it, so she called the manager. I stood off to the side so people could check out. After a while, I heard her say something about the manager that she doesn't know why he isn't coming up. Now mind you I have a a broken leg and torn legitimates on the ankle and I use a cane. I can stand for a period of time but this was to long. So I walked to the back room and called out. The manager came out talking on his cell phone and he made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. As it turns out, he told the girl to just switch it. Done deal. I could walk out and I was very happy. Not a good experience. The third time I went to the other General Dollar across town and the service was excellent! He found the toy I was looking for. Very friendly

Convenient location, a little disorganized, but 'real' people are working- they are friendly and helpful. Sometimes their super quick, other times lines can get lengthy but majority of the time it's a system/ register issue and they creatively figure out a way to speed things up. 1 of the 2 registers were down and two ladies worked together simultaneously on the same checkout to clear out the line. Took them about 1 minute to scan through my items. They are constantly working to keep things stocked. My preferred DG in Waupaca.

My husband and I needed just afew items and decided to stop into this store. After finding what we needed we went to the checkout. One was open, one had a sign "please use other checkout" . There was a young lady stocking items so we waited. She said" use the other register. I told her the sign said to use this one. She rudely told me to use it anyway. While checking out I had used a debit card and the card reading said " Do not remove card" this girl rather loudly said. "Remove your card" when I told her the screen said Do not remove, she said again Remove your card...I'm the cashier. She was So condescending and rude I could hardly believe it! My husband and I will never go back. There is a Dollar Tree just down the street in Waupaca and we will go there. If Dollar General wants to employ such unpleasant people , we can shop somewhere else.

Checked hours online for Waupaca dollar general it said 10pm. When I got there the lady was locking doors. Luckily she let me get what I needed but she insisted I was quick. When I told her their hours said 10pm online and they should probably change that she told me they have nothing to do with corporates hours... when It specifically said Waupaca dollar general hours. After my visit to the store I requested the time was changed so no one else had this problem.

Can't find anything I actually need, but they have dozens of bins blocking the aisles with clearance items. Shelves are half empty, can't download coupons on their app because internet doesn't work in their store. Not worth it.

Walked back and forth through the whole store 3 times, back and forth, and could not find a single person that worked there. Absolutely ridiculous and I will find elsewhere to shop from now on.

Dollar General is not too bad of a store if you are looking for certain items. You just have to watch what you are buying.

Wonderful helpful employees. Probably 1 of the more dirty dollar generals I've been to but i thin its just because its an older building.

Prices are good on some items but you have to be careful as not everything here is cheaper than a grocery store or retail.
