To start off, the waitress was AMAZING. So incredibly sweet and friendly with customers coming in, children, and overall just pleasant. First look at the menu, lots has changed. Noticed no more chicken, many of the sides and sandwiches. Prices also went up quite a bit. Food did not take long after ordering which was awesome, however fries were almost too salty to eat, burger was VERY pink throughout, and BLT was swimming in mayo. Food does not taste the same as it did before, quality definitely went down. Very sad.

The food and service at this establishment are excellent. However, I did encounter a minor issue when attempting to purchase ice cream cones to go. Despite being willing to pay for them, the staff informed me that they were not allowed to sell them separately. It would have been appreciated if they could have provided better service by accommodating our request, even if it meant charging a dollar or three bucks per cone. Nonetheless, the overall experience was still enjoyable, thanks to the great food and service provided.with buying a bunch of ice cream we did not want to stop for ice cream cones somewhere else

It's... Okay. Service was pretty slow. I went there with my fiance and no one else was in the shop, there were seven people working, goofing around (probably because it was slow) we ordered the shakes and it took about 15 - 20 minutes to get our shakes. Which is kinda whack. I've been to ice cream primary shops before like in fort and never had to wait that long even during the busiest hours. When we got our shakes they were very tasteless and thick. I asked for them to lower and told them why and it was the world's hardest shake to drink. Didn't end up eating it for 3 hours. It took that long for it to melt... 2 1/2 stars if I could.

I’m almost certain that Jesus himself made sure that the quality product that comes from here continues.I don’t understand how something so perfect can be in a town that has nothing.Mullen’s is a heavenly place.Sweet treat you want? I think they are so good that a diabetic would take the chance.Not feeling the sweet tooth? Well the grill puts out a darn delicious product also.Mushroom Swiss…get it.Any soup….get itChili…fine as wineKey like pie ice cream….you betterPeach ice cream….saying no would be a terrible choice.The delight doesn’t end. The service is magnificent.Belly up to the dairy bar. You won’t regret it.

Every time we go back to Watertown we stop in at Mullen’s. They have the best pretzel bites, the good kind of cheese curds( you WI natives know what I mean), and I honestly have never had a bad meal there. The atmosphere makes the whole experience more than worth your time!And, yes, they give you the metal mixing cup with your malt!

I'm back for the first time in 45 years. I brought my wife to see what I had been bragging about. The ice cream was even better than I remembered. The service was topnotch. I will return again just hopefully sooner. Trust me if you're ever in Watertown and love ice cream this is the place for you.

Very nice little burger joint and ice cream place. I have been living in Wisconsin for 8years and every time I can come to Mullens in Watertown it’s a pleasure. Nice burger , nice ambiance great ice cream.

As authentic as an old school diner can be. The vanilla malt was absolutely one of the best I have ever had, and my dining companions loved their cookies and cream shake. Fried cheese curds were also delicious. Burger was a little overdone but was still tasty and the bun was soft and delicious. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to visit this local gem.

Great ice cream and many other food options available. All ice cream is made in house and the cheese curds are local Kraemer's curds. There was a long line but it moved quickly.

Was a very neat little spot. The atmosphere had lot of cool old equipment and decorations that was a nice mix of Retro and new.Dietary restrictions: Lots of dairy here obviously.

Ate there for the first time. I can not be more pleased with the experience. The service was fantastic. The waitress was at our booth the instant we sat down. I ordered the Chicago Hot Dog and onion rings, husband had a cheeseburger and french fries. Each come with a soda but we chose to have a shake and a malt. Food was out quickly and top quality. Burger cooked to perfection. Both fries and onion rings were crispy. The malt and shake were some of the best we have ever had. We definitely recommend and will be back.

I took my 10yr old Granddaughter who absolutely Loves Mullen's it's her favorite place to go!! When she told my 3 yr grandson where we going he started licking his lips saying "yummy". I had NO idea he'd ever been here. It was my FIRST time as my Granddaughter insisted I do a review at Mullen's, they did not disappoint. The HOMEMADE ICE CREAM IS AMAZING!!! The atmosphere is wonderful and cheerful. They have large selection of flavors of ice cream and of course Sundaes, Shakes and many more ice cream treats!! I will visit again to try something from their wide range of food menu items from Salads to burgers and MUCH MORE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU VISIT THIS THIS HISTORIC DAIRY BAR & EATERY IN DOWNTOWN WATERTOWN!!

Really great local place for a burger and ice cream! Lots of flavors to choose from, hard to decide which one to pick. Enjoyed the Sconnie burger, plus the pretzel bites with cheese dip are delicious. Seating is limited!

Not enough cooks to serve the customers. Waited 70 minutes for our food after they lost the order. Nice vintage decor with a bright and clean restaurant. Cheese curds were a bit too salty and a small portion for the price but were otherwise good. Burger seemed to be cooked and prepared well when all was said and done. It was a little pricy ($5 for a soda). The in house made ice cream was very good with a waffle cone if not a little thin for ice cream.

Best Grilled Chicken sandwich, my friend had a burger and that was excellent as well. So happy to see the wonderful landmark, back to what I remember growing up 😉 but next time definitely just jump into the Turtle Sunday 😉

It was my first time being there with my kids. It was moderately busy, but we were helped fairly soon. They have a pretty big menu with an assortment of burgers, salads, and ice cream. For a "dairy bar," it was alright. Their inclusion of marshmallows in a lot of their selection was different, though I'm sure optional. The flavor of their ice cream was mediocre. Ice cream is ice cream. I've had worse, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.
