The owners have done a great job updating this local restaurant/bar. Whenever I’m in the area this is a must stop by place. If you have never tried their fish fry on Friday..you really need to try it. You get a great big piece of white fish that has a light batter on it, fries and coleslaw. They also have great burgers there. The employees are super friendly. Stop by and check them out the next time you are in Washburn.

I stopped in at this place while driving up the Lake Superior shoreline. Generally speaking, my experience was somewhat dull. The menu was not large and the service was kind of impatient and not very personable.As for food, I ordered the burger, which supposedly is one of the more popular items on the menu. It was very average if you ask me.However, the beer selection was good. I only had a Budwiser though before heading back on the road.The atmosphere was pretty bar-like, if that makes sense. It was upbeat but not really unique or anything memorable.Overall, despite the good beer selection, this was a pretty average bar if you ask me. If ever given another opportunity, trying their fish fry on Fridays may be the way to go.

Great place to stop for a drink or to eat. I did both on Friday night. I ordered the White Fish, fish fry, which came with one giant plate sized piece, a very generous side of fries (delicious), coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The fish was excellent! I also had jalapeño poppers as a side. Bartenders were very nice and friendly, as well as the older lady next to me at the bar, waiting for her takeout. When I go up north, that is the exact place I'm looking for. Thank you!

Great beer selection from old school brands to local craft options. And you gotta try the FBLT! That's a BLT with locally caught fish. Fish tacos, too. Very tasty!

I had the Fiesta burger and my wife had the Texan (beef brisket sandwich) both tasted excellent!! I would highly recommend going there just for the food. The wait staff seemed a little scattered, working the bar and bar backing and waiting on others, but they did get to us within a reasonable time. The atmosphere was just a basic bar, nothing special, but the food, excellent! Go there!

Great bar with great service, excellent burgers and an amazing whitefish fry (see pic). A big slab of lightly battered, deep fried whitefish! Also great place for a cold beer and a Packer game! Had the Texan today which includes coleslaw and their in-house smoked brisket- unbelievably excellent!!! We have eaten here so many times I've lost count. Always good. Spruced up the outside and also have some outside seating. Had their brisket sandwich. So good!

Stopped here for lunch. Very friendly and service was awesome. The owners were great. I had the Philly cheesesteak w caramelized onions and tots. It was excellent. Highly recommend it. Hubby had the mushroom/Swiss burger with fries and he said it was very good. Definitely recommend this place!! We sat at the bar inside but they have a great outside patio area too. Beers were perfectly chilled too! Will definitely stop again if we come back to this area. Thank you!

Excellent food! We had the Northwoods Burger and the Greek salad with chicken. Burger and fries cooked to perfection. Fresh greens and generous portions of chicken, feta, and black olives in the salad. Sweet, covered outdoor patio where you can eat when the weather is nice. Excellent service even though it was crazy busy. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Great place!! Mike the owner (his mom was/is Patsy!) is a hoot! And makes THE BEST Shirley Temple EVER!! Dark cherry syrup and gave me dark cherries. Yummy!! Even sent me home with one!!! And made it in my own to go cup!! Mike's a good guy!! Delicious Friday night Fish Fry.

Who can possibly drive through Washburn on a Friday night and not stop in for the Friday night Fish Fry!This amazing dinner is served with french fries, cole slaw and delicious tartar sauce. Pair it with one of their tap beers like the South Shore Nut Brown and you have a definite hit.This evening we were able to enjoy our dinner on their new patio area where we could sit back and relax, enjoy our drinks and dinner with a cool lake breeze.The staff is always friendly and I have never ever had a meal I did not like. The cooks are fantastic.

Wife and I stopped in for Southern BBQ burgers. By far the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Twice we’ve stopped in and ordered the same meal and let me tell you, they have it figured out. Awesomely delicious! We will be making more stops there in the future.
