We have been taking our dog Prescott to True Vet for the last 6 years since he was a puppy! I should really put a review in every time I go. Today was one of the biggest snowstorms so far this year, and they were able to squeeze us in for a quick visit to treat our dog’s ear infection. The team at True Vet are good listeners, they have patience, and they really take the time to educate. I have nothing but good things to say. We live close by and our dog always pulls to go there and have a visit! Dr. Sarah is seriously amazing, we have had the most experience with her, and are happy whenever she gets to work with us. You guys rock!!

Highly highly recommend True Veterinary Care!! The doctors and staff here are amazing and they truly care about your pets. I've been taking my rescue dog here for about 2 years now and they are so accommodating to her. She has a lot of vet anxiety, but they do everything possible to make her appointments as stress free as they can. They are very responsive and communicate everything very well regarding your pet and the care plan. Very easy to work with and I would definitely check them out if you are looking for a vet!

Yesterday I had to help my guy cross over, we had been together since he was about 2-3 months old. He was the “bestest” little man and so gentleman like to his girls, always giving them the best place to sit if they wanted it. This decision was one of the hardest we make as a fur parent, but we all know it will come at some point. His legs were failing him, but not his desire for food, especially my food.Since we have not lived in Madison long, I wanted to find a place that made me feel comfortable with everything. A clinic that made his crossover special, not rushed, not like we were just a number. True Veterinary Care went above and beyond for us! When we walked into the room they had a nice orthopedic bed with a nice soft blanket on it and a bowl of treats for Hester. Treats he would normally not be able to have….. He LOVED them so much, they even gave him seconds. Kelsey and Dr Amelia were amazing to us!!! I know they had so much other things going on, but they truly made me feel like we were the only clients they had. I believe they made Hester feel extremely special!!Thank you sooooo much Dr. Amelia, Kelsey and the “chef” for making our closing chapter together so special.

Excellent care from every single person every single time! From extracting a plant seed from under a 3rd eyelid to repairing a torn off paw pad. They expertly & professionally handle anything weird our dogs present. You can really feel the love they have for all their patients.

An amazing vet who was able to uncover issues with my dog that another vet wasn't able to - after going there for a second opinion, they are now my primary vet. They have excellent communication, go out of their way to explain everything, will call, text, email, etc. And genuinely seem to care about us and our dog. They don't do anything that isn't necessary and I always felt in control of the decisions concerning my dog's treatment and how much I was spending. There was a wait to get an appointment but it was worth it, and I see why - it's because of the amount of care and attention they give, they don't just churn through patients. Thanks, True!!

Dr. Sarah and her staff are incredible, and have cared for my 14-year old dog and 16-year old cat most of their lives. Two years ago, I moved across town, and although I could choose any other vet between my house and True Veterinary Care, I would never consider it. They know your pets are your family and treat them as such. Dr. Sarah is the kind of person you want as your best friend. She is realistic, honest, caring, gentle, generous and charges are reasonable for amazing services. When you leave an appointment, you're not forgotten and staff always follows up. They even put chocolates in my recent med order! I simply cannot say enough amazing things about this clinic and staff. They will always get my vote for Best of Madison.

I moved to Madison from Michigan and was really nervous about finding a new vet as I loved my previous vet in Michigan so much. On the first visit, that fear completely went away. True Veterinary Care is absolutely wonderful. They are great with my cats and my dog. The staff are all very friendly, the vet is absolutely wonderful and very thorough. The second you arrive, they have an exam room waiting, and your pets are seen right away. They always follow up when your pet goes on medication, has a surgery, receives treatment for anything, they text the next day and ask how everything is going. To me this demonstrates just how much they care about your pets and how dedicated they are to ensure that everything is going well for the animals they provide care for.The building, rooms, etc. are all very clean and look new. My cats actually enjoy hanging out in the exam rooms because they get catnip toys that they get sent home with! They also get lots of cuddles from all the staff members!They are always very thorough and ensure that we find a solution for whatever issue I come in with for my cats and dog. They always have great products that they recommend (that WORK), however, they are wonderful about not forcing products on you (and will even tell you, "you are more than welcome to think about it and come back another time if you want it!") so you never feel pressured.I feel that they are very affordable. I just graduated university last year, but never fear having to take my animals in because I feel the prices are extremely affordable and reasonable, and for the care that they are providing and you are receiving... All of the vets, techs, and other staff here have been amazing to us and our dog. We adopted a dog with more health issues than we anticipated and Dr. Jackie, Kelsey, and the rest of the team have been crucial in helping us navigate his care. They are so accessible which is helpful as well as extremely compassionate. Our dog LOVES Dr. Jackie and is so happy to walk right off with the staff when they come to get him. We're still working on figuring out some of his issues and having a dog, especially one new to the family, with so many health concerns is stressful, but having the True Vet team makes it easier.

Great Clinic. Our Pappy has been very well taken care of. Dr. Sarah is very compassionate, and the staff is great too. They are delightful and caring, and our dog has been treated well and she is a senior dog needing extra care, which the clinic provides. Highly recommended, although bills will be more expensive these days as with all good solid vet care.

We brought our puppy here earlier this year and it has been nothing short of an outstanding experience every time! Through all the puppy treatments- shots and spay and even an emergency visit, the staff has always been very kind, thorough, understanding and willing to answer our many questions. (They even have an after hours text line that has saved us overnight panic numerous times). Oh and they have adapted to Covid practices flawlessly - leaving medications by the door and pickups/drop offs via texts. Highly recommend Nicki, Dr. Sarah and the whole staff over at True Vet. They have made the beginning of our first pet experience truly wonderful!

I simply cannot say enough good things about True Vet. They are the kindest, most compassionate and caring vet clinic I have ever been to. I tell all my friends with pets to go there if they are considering switching vets. Both Dr. Jackie and Dr. Sarah are so smart and take their time getting to know you and your pets. They take all your concerns seriously and never make you feel rushed. All of the vet techs are wonderful too. They love our pets and make us feel so welcome, even when they act like stinkers. The clinic recently expanded and now has a side entrance that is very helpful with reactive dogs. With a 1 year old pup and 3 cats we make a decent number of trips to the vet, but it is always a pleasant experience. They are almost always able to get us in the same day if something comes up, and follow up at home to make sure they're doing ok after a treatment. Just love them and can't thank them enough for the top notch care they always give our pets (and us!).

We just moved to the area in September and were feeling pretty reluctant and stuck up about switching vets because our vet back home held the bar very high. Our dogs are our whole life; they are like our kids, so we couldn't just go to any vet. True Veterinary Care has exceeded our expectations and then some. Both Dr. Sarah and Dr. Jackie are very thorough and make sure you understand all of the options you have available as well as the cost of those options. You can tell that both vets truly care about your pet and want what's best for them. The staff is accommodating, polite, and always so, unbelievably nice and helpful. They have a convenient shop on their website where they can ship medications, food, flea & tick preventative, and heartworm preventative directly to you. They offer wellness plans to help keep cost down. I just cannot recommend this vet enough. They are amazing and I am so, so, SO happy that we found them.

I have lots of dogs and cats and have been to many different vets around Madison and the state. True Veterinary Care is THE BEST vet I have ever worked with. Best vet service I’ve ever taken my animals to. The staff is incredibly caring and thorough in everything they do. They send updates and photos via text after procedures/surgeries, and always check in with us on how our animals are doing if they came in for any issues. They also offer great wellness plans, which help save a little money. Overall, I cannot recommend them enough!

Dr. Sarah and her staff are fantastic! We’ve lived coast to coast and in between, and we truly feel there isn’t a better veterinary clinic in the country than True Veterinary Care. Previously, we had never taken one of our animals there, until one of our cats kept throwing up. From the beginning, the staff was accommodating. Becky provided terrific customer service both over the phone and in person (the other staff members were pleasant too when I met them in person with Alley-our cat). Dr. Sarah provided prompt, genuine care and followed through with us, even responding to an email late on a Friday night shortly after we sent an inquiry. We were truly amazed and equated it with how doctors used to make home visits in the good old days. Alley got better (and it wasn’t an easy diagnosis by any means). Also, the pricing is very fair. We feel confident that in the future all of our animals (dog/cats) will get the best care possible whenever those times may come.

We have been bringing our dogs here since we moved to Verona in 2018. They have only been kind and considerate to our two dogs. We have had consistent and easy vet visits, they have helped us with prescription rebates, and suggested a multitude of care options that helps us feel sure about our decisions. They transitioned easily with the pandemic but they have been flexible ever since we arrived. We initially choose them due to their AAHA accreditation and haven't been disappointed.

I unfortunately no longer take my Bernese Mountain Dog to True Vet Care after relocating to Chicago, however I often consider making the 2.5 hour trip simply because of how amazing they are. Not only did they provide Roo with exceptional, affordable, care when I brought her into their office, but whenever we needed it by phone.Roo had stomach issues due to an allergy and they would respond regularly and quickly to our questions over text as we tried to resolve the issue. After moving, when Roo needed to be spayed, we drove back to Madison for the procedure because no one is better. They checked in on how she was doing daily and always made us know that they cared.In addition, they are incredibly responsive and timely when I request records for my new vet office. If you are in need of a vet and there is someone closer to you, don't do it! It is worth the drive from downtown Madison because of how friendly, helpful, and professional True Vet Care is. I will continue to plan trips to Madison around Roo's vaccination schedule simply to ensure she receives the love and highest quality care that is provided here.
