Employees were completely rude. The one girl was staring at us while we stepped to the side to look at the menu. I got a small coffee and paid $6.50, super overpriced for the quality. Then we ordered and I say that will be all(one coffee) the worker laughs at us. We pay and step aside. The other worker calls out my drink so I go to get it. She rudely tells me it wasn’t my drink. She could’ve politely said it wasn’t mine but both the employees were completely rude and the coffee wasn’t good.

This place is always great. They have a lot of syrup options for lattes, great coffee, and a good ice cream selection as well. They also have gift items in a pretty decent price range, depending on what you are looking for. The staff is always friendly and I never leave disappointed.

Came here with my family during the summer, the store was not busy at all, we were the only customers. We have a big family, or about 8 people. We chose the butcher’s wife over any other place to get ice cream because of the good reviews. The younger staff were incredibly nice, but what I’m guessing was the owner or manager ruined the experience for us. We began ordering our ice cream, and paid separately and as soon as we finished paying we were immediately ushered out of the store to “make room because it was too crowded.” She did not even give us the chance to shop around the gift shop or look around the store for a second. This experience was extremely off putting and we were banished to the porch of the store where we quickly ate our ice cream and left. We could tell we were not wanted there and we will never return. This woman should keep in mind that her business is dependent on her customers and she can’t keep kicking them out just because you want to. Also keep in mind we were all adults who were doing nothing but standing in the store. I do not wish for any response to this incident but I would like others to know that bigger groups will not be welcomed inside this store.

Second stop to this shop in Lake Tomahawk today. Love the Bohemian vibe in this sweet shop. Fantastic coffee, smoothies and ice cream. Last trip I bought pottery & a friend bought a stamped metal sign with her favorite song she used to sing to her husband with Alzheimer's. Staff was very accommodating with our gluten free request. Highly recommend a stop here!

Stay away, I went to get 2 doughnuts and 2 muffins, almost $16.00, the owner claimed they came from another overpriced bakery called wild berry, Trigs and Save More have much better bakery items for a fraction of the cost...by the way the muffins were dry and the doughnuts had a very thick consistency...not worth your money..

Parents live nearby and frequent every summer when my family and Ali visit. Always has been great but there is new management and really dropped in overall service. Came to use the WiFi but they were closed, so after they informed us it’s only available for customers during business hours (we had gotten coffee that morning) we were looking up another location and Hannah comes out just to ask us if there is a problem. At first I thought she came to discuss but she only reiterated what was already told to us. What was really upsetting is she made everyone leave the external porch. An old nice couple that were still drinking their coffee, and were reading books, had to leave? Unnecessary poor customer service.

The Butcher's Wife is the best local ice cream place around. The quality of the ice cream is excellent and the service has always been fast and very friendly. They also carry a really great selection of local or small-business homemade items such as really nice purses, magnets, jewelry, books among other small specialty items that you really need to come in to check out. They carry coffee beans as well which we use to make espresso at home. You have to stop in this gem of the northwoods.

Went here over a year ago before moving to the area. The customer service was great, cute shop and good ice cream. Took my daughters here last weekend, the owner while helping another customer yelled at me "can you tell her to stop that" as my daughter was looking at & flipping through NOTEBOOKS in a suitcase. I was so frustrated and my daughter cried the entire car ride home. My daughter was being gentle and the woman could have been more respectful to our family or asked us nicely for her to not touch them, that would have been understandable. I called back to speak to her and she rudely told me she was too busy to take the call.

Love getting coffee from The Butcher's Wife in Lake Tomahawk (and ice cream, too). They also have a nice collection of gifts, jewelry, and similar items. My wife picked up a pair of very reasonable earrings while we waited for coffee. They also have wi-fi for customers, which is nice if you do need to reconnect while in the area.

This is the cutest place. Seating outdoors as well. A beautiful view of the lake. Reasonable prices. I plan to try the fried brussel sprout appetizer next time we go. Of course everything and everywhere is wonderful with my Hubby because he is good company.

Great selection of prime meats. Also the sides that go with the meats. Bought prime ribeye steaks and corn on the cob and a baked potato to cook at our condo rental on Lake tomahawk. The steaks were so so good! Was told by one of The butchers that they provide the meat to the Northwoods. formerly The Plantation in Woodruff.
