I am writing this review, my first review ever, because I had a very negative experience with the current owners of Tilleda Falls campground. Although I can only speak to my family’s experience, I do believe they are capable of acting this way towards others. After 24 years of staying around 2-5 nights in a year, on a more permanent seasonal site, we were kicked out after a 3-5 minute conversation with the owner. The current owners have not previously had a conversation with me in the 7 years they have owned it. They have been extremely unfriendly! When coming in to buy ice cream for my 5- and 7-year-old, the owners, who usually ignore me when I walk in, became confrontational and rudely addressed a policy that we had not been following. This policy was not enforced by the previous management due to a unique situation, and the current owners had not expressed any concerns over the past 7 years. If they had problems with something our family was doing, they could have nicely addressed any concerns with my family, or most appropriately with my father who payed for the site every year, but had not stayed at the campground for 11 years. The owners made my 5- and 7-year-old cry and said they didn’t care, told me to get my family off the property immediately, and notified my 77-year-old father that he must take the large Park Home RV and large deck off the property without my help by October, and never come back. This site was built in a more permanent way, and not built to be moved. Many campgrounds allow you to sell a camper and deck that is built in a more permanent way like ours was. The moving process was difficult and required us to pay for a professional to move the camper since the owners put a sign in the way of our camper and refused to move it.The night the owners kicked me out, they made my family pack up and leave immediately, It was 7 at night by the time we were packed up, and my family had no place to go, since my home was too far away. They are unkind people, and I don’t recommend camping here, or renting a seasonal site from them. I could never imagine doing something like this to anyone! This place was very special to my family, as you can imagine it has 24 years of memories. They treated us poorly the entire 7 years they owned it, never saying “hi” to me once. We have been quiet people who rarely come, and when we do, we typically stay for one night and leave the next day. I have never had a person be this mean and hurtful—we never should have been treated this way. They did not even allow the camp site to be used the entire season yet kept my father’s money. The silver lining is that my father will no longer have to pay the owners $3,000 a year for them to treat our family in an unkind way for the 5-6 nights a year on average that the campsite was being used. I recommend looking elsewhere for a campground. There are much better campgrounds, with much better owners.

Let me start by saying, the roads you have to drive thru to get to the larger sites ARE NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY!!! No matter what the owners tell you. We have a 42' motorhome and it was like 'threading a cow through the eye of a needle' getting to our campsite. There are LARGE bolders and trees (and branches) along the roadway that make it extremely difficult to navigate the winding campground road.Quiet hours are from 11PM to 8AM...but I thing that only applies to the campers. The owner was using the chain saw at 7:15 in the morning...real nice! The setting is nice but it doesn't make up for the ridiculous way we had to get into the site.UPDATE: I lowered my review to 1 star after the response from the campground owners.-I didn't go into all the issues we had in my review, tried to point out the highlights and was VERY accurate in my description and photos. I'm sorry this wasn't a warm and fuzzy review but it was our honest experience! It seems you are making excuses for everything I mentioned. Your husband's flipint attitude regarding the water issue didn't help the situation!

My opinion this is the best campground in WI. The location is beautiful, grounds are spotless as well as the showers and bathrooms. They have the cutest private glamping tent for two right on the water that my parents stayed in. They are in their sixties and my mom has never camped before. She LOVED it! It was perfect for the two of them to share that experience together. I had my camper at their group site. Was a super easy in and out with plenty of room for stress free camper parking for our small group. (No apologies after backing up here! Lol) the family that runs the campground are all so kind. Will definitely camp here again!

Beautiful property and owners are VERY friendly. Some of the other recent reviewers are at best mistaken and at worst, spiteful. The bathroom and showers are quite clean. There is NO garbage lying about. I've rarely seen such a pristine camping area.If you are traveling with young ones, bring a fishing pole for an inviting and safe time of it. Of course the beach area is small, but safe and gradually sloping for a parent's piece of mind. Thank you for such a pleasant experience and wonderful hospitality.

I stayed there for several nights during the past week. I wanted a place that was smaller and not like the many campground resorts where everyone is packed in like sardines. I took a gamble and booked here. This turned out to be the place. I camped there with my son. The campground was very family oriented and kid friendly. Its a mix of seasonal sites and rentals. Seemed to be very well kept up and the hosts/owners were great and very accommodating. Very good chance I will return for more stays.

We truly loved our stay at this adorable, quiet campground and it will definitely be an annual camping destination for us. We stayed right on the river and the constant sound of the small falls near by was most relaxing. We loved putting our camp chairs in the river to keep our feet cool while soaking up the sunshine. The grounds are clean, well kept and the bathrooms were always very clean as well. The camp store was perfect with all kinds of stuff including ice cream cones and a beer bar that had a happy hour on the weekends. There is a cool area for kayaking and a sand beach area with a big floaties for kiddos and fun activites for them engage in. During our stay there were crayfish races with crayfish you catch in the river first, a glow parade, and a build your own cardboard/ductape boat to Lastly...you can walk to a bar and grill just down the road for a drink and they have great food too. Cannot wait to go back....we absolutely love this place!!

Absolutely beautiful campground. Our site was right on the water and so peaceful! The sites aren’t right on top of each other the way they are at some campgrounds. No noise issues with people partying late into the night and Bathrooms were very clean as well. We paid $20 for a wheel barrel of wood and they gave us a ton! The falls are a definite plus as well! Perfect Fall campground!

Very happy with our visit. The managers were great. We met a few of the permanent campers there and they were awesome. Welcomed us in a great and funny way, which is a great story. The whole campground was very clean. Bathrooms cleaned every morning and always plenty of tp in the stalls. Planned events for the kids and adults. Nice swimming area for the kids as well as adults, not commercialized like a lot of places are now. We wanted a relaxing weekend, and we found it there. This is a great campgrounds and we are considering a permanent site there next season.Ken and Naomi Bowers

We had an excellent time my only issue was last year they had a Porta potty right by our sites and this year there was not... as someone who suffers with many medical issues having to walk all the way down to the flushable toilets (which I totally prefer) it was physically exhausting! The lake was amazing! It's very clean ! Everyone is very nice the owners knocked it out of the park again! I highly suggest any site 1-5 or rent a cabin ... they are adorable and very close to the flushable toilets :) will definitely return again!

Very nice, clean little Campground. Friendly people. Love the waterfall! The cabin was cute. Loved the Keurig!!! The shower takes 50 cents every few minutes?!And be prepared because the nearest grocery or gas station is at least 15 minutes away. The camp store isn't always open during the posted hours, there is a number to call... but no cell phone service.

Well run, very clean, and a fun relaxing retreat. Management is responsive and very friendly. The bathrooms are always clean and follow new recommendations from CDC regarding COVID, the management has stepped up their game. The river was excellent to throw on some waders and fish down the river. I caught some rainbow trout all around the place. You also have access to a lake if you want to shore fish or jump in a small boat/kayak.The campground itself is typically busy so reserve your space early. Seasonal campers are very friendly and while the area is not as reactive to changes in social distancing and whatnot, no one was yelling at anyone about politics and making threats to you about wearing a mask that another campground near here has.

This is one of my all-time favorite campgrounds! I will return with my family every year. There is a lot to do here, from swimming at the beach or playing in the sand to renting peddle carts and zooming across the bridge. I just loved our spot right on the river, it was so peaceful to fall asleep to the sound of the water every night. They also have activities every Saturday for the kids. Great time!!!! A must see!

We’ve camped at many top camp grounds, Tilleda Falls delivered! We had a pretty site along the river. The falls are beautiful and the grounds were very clean. The owners are very nice with a cute camp store with cute gift items and supplies.

Camped for four days at Tilleda Falls with two young kids. Things we loved: the water level was pretty low so the kids could walk on the rocks with nets and we caught a ton of stuff...LOTS of crayfish, a tadpole, a tiny snapping turtle, more minnows than i can count. My kids literally spent all day in the water. Our campsite was #8. Its right by the path to the bridge but midweek it was quiet and a non issue. We enjoyed hearing the falls (which is really a small dam) at night by the fire. The general store sells wood $6 a bundle or a wheelbarrow for $20. The playground appeared new and the kids loved it. (See photo). Things that need improvement or we wish we knew ahead of time: you have to pay 50 cents for five minutes in the shower, so bring quarters. (See photo). The water was warm, but no temp control. Also the light at night is like six inches from the door opening, so you let in a swarm of bugs hovering around the light when you go to take a shower. The toilet doesnt have a running faucet to wash hands you are supposed to pump water with your foot but the water was empty...pro tip: go next door to shower area to wash hands. There also was NO water for the sewer cleanout (see photo) just a cut off hose. When we asked about it, they said it costs to much money so they dont provide water for clean out. After paying over $50 a night, you think they could allow for proper cleanout options. No internet or phone reception. This may matter to the person working remotely from "home"...not gonna happen at the campsite. Overall the kids had a good time. Would I come back? Probably not, Id explore a neighboring campground instead.

Really nice place. Gorgeous views. Rent tubes to go down river. Close to North Star Casino and easy to find from 29. A bit more rugged if you're looking for R & R, though. Bathrooms have no plumbing and showers are tight. If you can bring your own, I would suggest doing so:)

Found these guys at the Green Bay camping expo. While camping this weekend, wife and I socialized with the current managers (as it is under new management). Very pleased with the grounds as a whole. Needs a few updates as bathrooms go but Paul keeps them clean and Racheal runs the cantina with an upbeat and welcoming attitude. They have aspirations to purchase and if they do the place will only continue to improve. From what we've come to understand many improvements have already been made. Very impressed with their passion and hopes for the future. Definitely recommend waterfront websites!
