Definitely don't order from them online. Placed an online order to ship and it was cancelled 5 minutes after placing, there was no issue with the payment but when messaging AND chatting with customer service they weren't able to give me any info as to why or help me beside to tell me my order was canceled and to replace it. OBVIOUSLY I see that. Not repurchasing- what so it can happen again?!? Just go to Petsmart, they have better deals anyway.

I go for the random sales throughout the store for my dog. Always clean, able to take pet, friendly helpful employees if you ask. Nice calm quiet environment. Nice store benefits card. I remember 10 years ago their fish selection being exceptional. I saw a nice section of tanks! Dog groomer on sight.

Charged for cheap plastic bags for my merchandise! Was not informed about this. All that I was asked, if I would like a bag. I had several items, to where I needed 1 larger or 2 bags. If there was a charge, I would have put everything in my coat pockets & carried the rest! I will not be back. I will inform all my friends about the charge!

If you need anything for your pet(s) this is a good place to go. About 95% of the time they have exactly what I need in stock. They have also started doing curb side pickup. Which is great, especially now.

I only come there now to buy dog food for my dog. He had a haircut there one time where they nicked him on his butt area and they tried to blame it on it being there when I brought my dog in I will never bring my dog there again for a haircut, their service is pitiful

Two people working and 3 people in front of me to get help with being able to get a fish. One staff member on the floor and the other working the register. I told him never mind. I pay 60 some dollars for products and asks me if I want to buy a bag for 10 cents lol I won't be back!

Very helpful staff and a great place to take your pooch on a cold day to sniff around and ours likes to help with "inventory loss control" by finding lost kibble on the shelves.A great assortment of all things for your pets, from fish to reptiles, birds and all four legged creatures in between!

The people were friendly and the store was well kept. The only thing that was wrong was the price for rabies, and distemper was almost as much as going to a regular veterinarian.

This used to be the go to pet store with decent prices and a wide selection. Not anymore.Pet food and supplies are already expensive enough but increasing your pricing while the containers are getting smaller.. and then you want to charge 10¢ for each plastic bag on top of it ?? You are telling that you're not making enough money that you have to try and squeeze just a little more.. you can keep your bags. And keep your products. I'm going somewhere else.

Nice store. Helpful staff. Great selection of stuff for doggo, fish and birds. Lost a star for charging a dime for shopping bags at checkout. If that dime is going to help needy animals I'm cool with it. Otherwise its nonsense.

Liked that they had coral but all the fish were sick basically and they had fish they were selling with anemones that eat fish i told them they just said it happens while watching a goby being eaten by the nem... A dying hollywood stunner i bought there and clams all are now doing very well after being treated and acclimated to my system

We took our dog Lyra here for puppy classes, and the trainer Adrian is phenomenal!!! He is very knowledgeable and was also very patient with our dog (who can be a handful).The cashiers and employees at this PetCo location are awesome, and so kind and helpful! I now refuse to shop at the Kenosha one because this Racine location is so superior! Their selection of food and treats for our cats and dog is great, and all of our animals get excited when they see us bring home bags from PetCo.

Pleasant experience and friendly cashier. I literally ordering online to get discount and walked into store 5 minutes later and product already ready to pickup. I'm going to try the refill cat litter deal next time. I spoke to customer and cashier about and both raved about low cost and good quality litter.

Cassie is wonderful, but she's the only one. The others forgot to call us and left our elderly dog in a cage for almost 6 hours. Then refused to even take responsibility or apologize, when that's all we wanted.

I came in for a nail trim. Wait time 0 min. 😊. When I asked for a price on trimming between toes she charged me nothing. $12 for a nail trim is priceless to me. I highly recommend Petco. 😊

Took my dog, Diesel, in for his first grooming. Cassie took care of us or him and was truly phenomenal. She is so well educated regarding her breeds and made me AND Diesel feel incredibly comfortable. Thank you Cassie. Later I went into the store to buy fish and Jo helped me. What an amazing experience. She didn't just scoop up the fish I wanted but informed me that the fish I was wanting was a "school " fish and wld do much better with companions. Never have I experienced that when buying fish there before. She was genuinely concerned that the fish were comfortable and not just thrown in a bag. Wow! Thank you Jo! You're amazing.

The only reason I gave this place two stars is simply because it was located next to Menards and I like them. I asked for help three different times and told someone will be with you shortly to help you. 15 minutes later in a store that had no more than three people in it a young lady come to offer her assistance. It was readily apparent that she had no clue as to what they had in their store or where it was at. So I just said thank you I will figure it out myself and left.

Would have been a far better shopping experience if not for the woman staffing the Petco vaccination clinic in the afternoon of May 17th, 2023. Apparently, if you're not there to get your pet vaccinated, she doesn't believe you're allowed to find supplies for your dog. We were literally told to leave the area where the dog toys, leashes, collars, spot removers, etc, were located, unless we were getting our dog vaccinated. It just so happens those were all the very supplies that we needed for our new rescue dog we had just picked up from the Wisconsin Humane Society in Mount Pleasant. We did manage to grab a few things at Petco, checked out, and left. Too bad! We would have liked to have shopped for more, but the experience left us both with a bad taste. Maybe they could consider setting their clinic up in a more convenient location in the store, or just be more gracious instead of driving customers away.

Unfortunately I have to give 2 stars. I booked a grooming appointment for a regular bath with nail trim. The staff was all great, very kind, friendly and welcoming! My issue was the service, I brought my dog home and could tell she had a bath, just not a very good one. She smells & looks better after I do it myself, I’d probably rather just keep doing it myself at this point since I think I’m more detailed. Like I said though, the staff was very friendly and helpful! I would have given 5 stars if the bath was more detailed & if they did her nails. Petco advertised the bundle of the bath and nail trim; I believe this shouldn’t be done if they can’t guarantee services (they gave me 10% off), but it’s still just the principle.
