Location is amazing. Service too. Both host were super nice. We changed our site after arrival to the site. It was sorrounded by big families from both sides (both of them parked 4 cars by sites) they parked on our original site too. We changed to rustic site with no neighbors. Showers ate quarter per 5 minutes. There are quite hours but depends on primitive people obey them.

Be aware tent campers! The raccoons here are not afraid of humans and will come up to the door of your tent while you are sleeping. I was traveling with my small dog and it was a little scary how persistent they were. They made several visits to my door and I was unable to frighten them away. There are a lot of RV’s at the campground and I think that’s the better way to camp here. It’s otherwise a lovely and clean campground that is quiet and has a great camp store stocked with all the essentials!

There are so many things to do here. They have a disc golf course, kids mini golf, a playground, a basketball court, and canoe and kayak rentals. The camp store is well stocked and has low prices for all the things you might forget to pack, and you can tell the people who work there enjoy what they do. I will definitely camp here again.

Beautiful campground with amazing scenery. Our site was right across the road from the river which made it convenient for my hubby to go kayaking. Campsites are clean and level and well-maintained. Fishing, boating, playgrounds, a nice camp store and more! Very pet friendly as well. Great paved roads for walking. Definitely one of our favorites.

We use goose Island as a biking area. All new roads in goose Island. We also go through the campground and it was very nice right on the river. A place you can fish swim and enjoy mother nature.

I really liked this campground. The sites are big, mostly level, gravel or concrete pads. Picnic tables are in good repair, and each site has a fire pit. There's lots of space between campers, and the landscaping is well done. It's beautifully situated with lots of water access, including a small beach. It was peacefully and quiet at night.I paid $34 per night for water and electric. 2 dump stations are easy to access. LPG is available at the entrance/store. The store carries all essentials for camping, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. If you want to shower, bring quarters (5 minutes per quarter).I definitely want to go there again.

Upon arrival we found the sight we reserved completely swamped and uninhabitable. We drove back to the check in point where we found out that it had been marked as “wet” but they forgot to let us know. We were given another sight which we went to and started setting up (an hour later) and moments later while we were unloading I was told I needed to move my vehicle because campers were complaining that they couldn’t get by. However, two motor homes had just went by without an issue. I feel this was simply the hostesses way of passing the buck. The wood they sell is simply what they hack off the edges of the tree during debarking and it is rather thin. The showers are pay showers which is ridiculous after paying what we paid to camp there. The bathrooms are simply a breeding ground for mosquitoes. No paper towels or hand dryers. The place caters to Motor Homes and Trailers. They treat tent campers as second rate citizens. The sites are small and packed right so you can expect to be near your neighbors and hear them quite well. This place is nothing like it was years ago and I will never return.

Unfriendly campground host. I have never been so appalled and felt so segregated for having a larger dog at a “dog-friendly” campground. She didn’t even give us a chance to check-in before making snide comments about picking up after my dogs and you know they aren’t allowed off leash and you know we don’t allow fences but I guess you’re is attached to the camper (it’s a travel trailer with a patio). They better not jump the fence. Like oh my gosh lady we haven’t even stayed a night yet. My dogs are super friendly and extremely well trained. Great environment. Very very poor choice for a host. I would NOT recommend if you have dogs!!! Attitude is on point with this host.

This was such a cool campground. We just bought a camper and brought it here for our first trip just to test out the camper and figure out what we need in the camper when we go on longer trips. We got a great spot right along the river, we were close to the bathroom and showers and had the friendliest camp host. We had a picnic table and fire ring at our site which was nice. It looked like most sites did. There’s a cleaning house for any fish caught. There is a small playground for kids and plenty of places to go hiking near to the campground in the park on the island and around the city.

Great Little County Park. Some of the areas are much newer than other parts (we were in site 235 facing water). Only negative (and they mention in map) is that electrical is shared between two sites and needed 50' cord to reach. Otherwise bathrooms were clean, front area had small store with just about all you could need. Tons of hiking, biking and water to kayak and boat galore. Tons of people fishing all over. Very nice little place. Some sites I believe had water and electrical but no sewer at site just a dump station in the middle.

If you like camping right on top of each other, this place is for you. Barely enough space between sites to maneuver. Beautiful spot on the water. Just very noisy and too over populated with other campers. Will not stay here again.

I work here. 3 stars is purely technical. I'll review after the seasonal job ends. Til then, arefeetrstained. Now four stars... Good work experience and nice island. Not a fan of the IMHO blight of some seasonal campsites and crowded weekends that look more like the infield of the Indy 5oo.NO TRACE CAMPING! is not a thing here...too bad.Got a walleye today right next to the swimming beach :)

Unclean facilities, 25 cents per 5 minute shower, extra charge for more than one tent at the campsite. We had two little two person tents for the 3 of us and they want to charge us extra for that. Such BS, I’ve stayed at many campgrounds but nothing compares to how low quality of a site this campgrounds is. Go anywhere but here

Many permanent sites. Others seem to just park off the road near electricity. Nice river access.

The spot was not long enough for trailer + pickup. Be prepared to take care of ants. Stripped cophers had made several holes careful not to step in. Long grass around fire pit lots of bug bites from just one night by fire. I have a 10 month Mal-Shi puppy 12lbs. Park attendes told no puppy play pen. Which is 2ft high 3ft by 3ft not staked down. Camped numerous campground TX OK AZ MN KS Iowa never been told no playpen easier for potty times in the dark.

I stayed there 2 nights (planned on 3 but left early due to weather). Awesome scenery with sites right on the water. I was on site 60. The major downside is how crowded the sites were. I could barely squeeze my mid-size SUV and 16' boat on the site. There is no privacy in the sites from what I could see. Very nice facilities though.

Great campground. Gets a little crowded in the weekend, but still fun. Nice store for last minute needs. Restrooms and showers kept very clean...25 cents for 4 or 5 minutes of shower time. Canoe and kayak rental, $8/hr up to 4hr, $25/4-6hr, paddles and vests included.

To this campground is a great place for all ages,, there is a variety of things to do for all ages, the bathrooms need some major updates and don't plan on showering after dark because the motion lights make it very difficult to shower , light went out on me 3 times in the 10 minutes i was in there. Great fisgibh and clean sandy beach and playground for kids to swim and play. Fun little mini golf course and prices are very reasonable .. All in all it's a wonderful place to stay!!

Wasn't sure what to expect when we rolled up, but we were not disappointed. Check in was a breeze. The campsite was clean and easy to find. Despite there being a bunch of people, the site was quiet. The bathrooms were clean. The neighbor campers were friendly. The fish were hungry. I plan on going here a lot more to fish and camp. It was awesome.

Just finished a 9 day stay at Goose Island, what a great place. This was our second trip, the first was to just see what the Park was like. When I first tried to make reservations on line, I was having difficulty with the website. So I just called and Rachel helped me get the sight and dates I wanted. Thank you Rachel. I was calling the week before our stay to see if my sight was underwater, Staff was always helpful and reassuring on the phone. When we arrived I was greeted by Sue. It is nice to see a YouTube celebrity that still finds time for the guests. Yes Sue, I saw all your videos on the flood of 2014. All in all we had a good time. Couple of days of high wind and rain, but it never lasted long. When you go, make sure you go to Rockies in Stoddard for their Friday night Fish Fry. Again thanks to everyone for a great stay. See you all again.

I actually haven't camped here much but hike here often. Beautiful view of the Mississippi and Minnesota bluffs. Great canoe trail and forest trails, too. Saw an opossum and a rather tame deer on my last walk. My dogs love it, too. Often, I bring a lawn chair and read and enjoy the outdoors.
