They generally have a decent amount of yarn here, but I was super disappointed in their variety of yarn. Almost everything had acrylic in it, and there was very little fine weight yarn available.

What a fun place to check out - loved the contest, *Sale Room* Deco examples & last but not least Fabric - absolutely adored the fabric - first store I've seen Diamond Painting & Paint by Numbers on sale together - so many craft options & it's set up so a beginner can try new things without breaking the bank. Loved the Giant Disney movie puzzle 😍

LOVE this store! You won't find the selection here any other place. Unbelievable projects/kits to gift to people in my life. Amazing high quality quilting fabrics to browse through. Every imagineable novelty and coordinating blenders. Lots of samples! Puzzles always jump into my cart, as does my favorite yarns. We bought a lot of toys for the grandkids last time through.When you see the samples, you know you can make the project! Friendly staff. Great sales! Well worth the stop!Edit January 2023The management and team members here are top notch. They care about each customer and greet them by name when they enter the retail store. They help them locate what they are looking for and offer suggestions.What is amazing, and sets Herrschners apart from many large retailers is the teamwork and quality of caring, knowledgeable employees. They are hard working and attentive to the customers needs, overall very quick and efficient and customer centered.Again, amazing displays, well organized, bright rooms.Come with an empty trunk,the sales are astounding!!!April 2023 big sale coming in June, can't wait!

My daughter does alot of crocheting and needed yarn. We took a road trip to Herrschners in Steven's Point. It was a nice trip.She found alot of cotton yarn in the store and a nice woman offered to go in the warehouse and get her a few skeins so she didn't have to order them online. Then they showed us the warehouse, where I bought a few puzzles. They are well stocked. Very friendly people work there. We will be back after the holidays.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was such a variety of items to choose from I had a difficult time making choices. I was going to make a quick stop to check them out but spent an hour looking at everything. I will plan a trip to go there again.

Canadian here. Ordered for first time recently, and because of that happy experience, I ordered again yesterday. I am extremely pleased with Herrschners website, stock of items I need, international delivery, use of the Post Office (which is more convenient at my end), the competitive pricing, and, of course, the good quality of the crochet cotton I bought. I have used Aunt Lydia crochet cotton for some time, and was glad to find the Jumbo 10 available. I really like the large cones of Herrschners’ brand crochet cotton thread in the vibrant shades, too, as well as the colour selection of their house-brand smaller accent colours. Even with the currency exchange rate, the purchases I’ve made have been excellent value. Thank you very much!!

Great local retail store (and widespread catalog sales)! Extensive selection of quality commercial yarns plus supplies for nearly any crafting (or sewing) project you can imagine. Definitely my first stop when new yarn is needed!

It has been many years since I last visited, so I made an impulse decision to do so as I passed through the area. Herrschners has every craft supply or tool you can imagine, EXCEPT for scrapbooking/cardmaking/paper crafting supplies (which has been my primary hobby for 20 years). Not the company's fault, as I realize they're sticking to their roots. Knitting, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and beading have kept them going through various shifts in popular hobbies. In this regard, they have a tremendous assortment. Don't forget to go into the warehouse section for all things marked down! I still managed to find a cute sequin/beading banner to work on when I'm in the mood. :)

Great factory store with helpful ladies willing to run into the wearhouse and grab whatever you need. Look it up on the website and drop by to pick it up in person, save the cost and hassle of shipping. My wife was in craft heaven.

Loved my 20 pound mystery box. It came with enough of each kind of yarn for my projects. Will do this again once I finish with what I have, which may take a while since there was 80+ skeins of yarn in the box. Great deal. Check yarn type online because that is what is in the box.

I was given a plastic canvas kit as a gift from my sister. There wasn't enough yarn in the kit to finish it. I contacted customer service and after waiting several days they got back to me and said that because it was a gift, they couldn't send me the yarn I needed to finish the kit without an order number. I contacted my sister, got the order number and provided ed it to Herrschner's. They responded after several more days that they still couldn't help me because the kit was purchased too long ago. They provided a link for me to purchase my own yarn. I asked if they could at least give me free shipping, as I only needed about $3 worth of yarn, but it was going to cost me another $6 in shipping. I was told no, it was against their policy. I have purchased dozens of kits from herchner's over the past 30 to 40 years, if their policy is to alienate long time customers, they did exactly that.

Typically I never have had any issues with Herrschners however, after ordering this time around I am not pleased. I ordered a cross stitch coaster set. I got a birthday discount and the set was already discounted. I was like "score!" I got the item I ordered in the mail. I checked the item and the 14 count plastic canvas (according to the item description and the package insert the plastic canvas IS included in the order) was not in the package. I sent a message on their site, no reply. I called and was on hold 18 minutes before talking to someone with a pulse. I was told that in 2 weeks I'd receive the plastic canvas my kit was missing. Two weeks!! Two weeks!! I don't live in the deep jungles of Cambodia. I don't reside in Antarctica. Poor poor poor customer service this time around. Kinda makes me not want to do business with Herrschners again.Update: I called Herrschners August 24th. The plastic canvas was to be shipped and I would receive it in 2 weeks. I've still not received it yet. Is it the end of the world? No. I can obtain the canvas elsewhere. Point is it was part of a kit that I already paid for. I should not have to go and buy it separately. I really like Herrschners products but sadly, I'm done buying from them. You just lost a customer over a piece of plastic canvas. Don't trust Herrschners to deliver as ordered. Don't trust them to stand by their products and make it right.

The variety of crafting supplies here is impressive! I went for yarn and was able to find something for my project very quickly. I could’ve spent hours in here looking at everything else they have too. The girl at the register was very kind and helpful. I will be back, sooner rather than later.

This store is any crafter’s paradise. As an avid crocheter, I love Herrschners own yarn brand because there is a wide variety of weight-4 colors and dye styles at an affordable price. They also stock a large supply of popular yarn brands too. If you’re looking for specific yarn in particular, there’s a good chance you’ll find it here. Also, any time I visit, I cannot resist a trip into their discount section taking up a portion of the warehouse. Yarn for $1! $2! $3! It’s great.

I frequently shop at Herrschner’s but have been disappointed with customer service. A friend and I drove a 45 mile trip with the intent of both of us purchasing a $100 item. We asked to see it to be sure of quality. They were kind about pulling one but didnot make effort in taking item out of box for viewing. I even saw directions and asked if I could see them and item, but not given the option.Should we both have bought one, taken to car and opened it and then possibly returned??? Really!!!Obviously, we were discouraged by the lack of customer service and didnot purchase.This would have been an over $200 sale and now we are looking to purchase elsewhere for the same price.This is not the first time the in store customer service has been challenging.I would like a timely response by the store!

First things first, some woman in a motorized wheelchair ran over my foot while I was holding the door open for her, and didn't apologize. Can't blame that on the store, it was just a bad start to our experience there.Two of the workers on duty were very nice, and a third one was pretty rude.One of the nice workers was helpful in finding my wife the item she was looking for, and after the other nice worker mentioned their clearance area that we didn't even know was a thing. Nice worker #1 excitedly showed us where the warehouse area was, making a little show of it, making us laugh.They had some kind of Snuggie blanket in their clearance area, I only saw a white label stating it was $20, so I asked how much it was when we were checking out The rude worker pointed aggressively at the label and said "That's the price right there. Those things usually sell for TWICE that."Snuggies have been around a long time, and they never sell for $40 I looked on Amazon using my phone, and the regular price there was only about $13.We only stopped here since my wife heard about it online and we were staying in the area. That 3rd worker managed to make sure the whole visit had rudeness bookends.
